Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

Yes. If your vehicle has an OEM tow hook, it must be permanently removed for hitch installation. The removed exhaust hanger and fasteners should be returned to the vehicle owner.
Required tools: ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, and sockets in 18 mm, 19 mm, 3/4", and 11/16". Optional tools: 6" socket extension, pry bar, exhaust removal pliers, lubricant or soapy water, and universal joint socket.
No drilling is required. The hitch uses existing weldnuts in the frame rail and a reverse pull-wire procedure to feed the carriage bolt through the frame without drilling.
All M12 CL.8.8 fasteners must be tightened to 68 Lb.-Ft (92 N·M) using a torque wrench.
All 1/2-13 GR5 fasteners must be tightened to 75 Lb.-Ft (102 N·M) using a torque wrench.
Weight carrying capacity: 4500 lb (2043 kg) gross trailer weight with 675 lb (306 kg) tongue weight. Weight distributing capacity: 5000 lb (2270 kg) gross trailer weight with 500 lb (227 kg) tongue weight. Do not exceed the lower of the towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
Check that all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual recommends checking the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners remain tight and the hitch is securely mounted to the vehicle.
The fastener kit 76034F includes: (4) M12 x 1.75 x 40mm CL8.8 hex bolts, (5) 1/2" conical washers, (1) 1/2-13 x 1.50 GR5 carriage bolt, (1) 1/4" x 1.00" x 2.00" spacer, (1) 1/2-13 hex nut, (2) 7/16-14 x 2.500 GR5 carriage bolts, (2) 7/16" flat washers, (2) 7/16-14 hex lock nuts, and (1) 1/2-13 pull wire.

Yes. The exhaust system must be lowered at the rubber isolator in 3 places. Spraying lubricant or soapy water on the metal hanger rod and rubber isolator helps with removal. Remove the rubber isolators from the mufflers (2 total) to be reinstalled in step 3. Be careful not to allow the muffler to fall under its own weight.
The reverse pull-wire procedure is used to feed the 1/2-13 carriage bolt and spacer into the passenger side frame rail. Step A: Insert the bolt and block into the frame. Step B: Align the block on the access hole. Step C: Pull the bolt through the block. Leave the pull wire attached until step 6, when it is removed after the hitch is raised into position and the M12 hex bolts are installed.
The conical washers must be installed with the teeth side against the hitch. There are 5 conical washers in the fastener kit: 4 are used with the M12 hex bolts, and 1 is used with the 1/2-13 carriage bolt after the pull wire is removed.
The rubber isolators (removed from the vehicle's mufflers in step 1) are installed onto 7/16 carriage bolts on the hitch. Each isolator is secured with a 7/16" flat washer and a 7/16-14 hex lock nut. The fastener kit includes 2 carriage bolts, 2 flat washers, and 2 hex lock nuts for this purpose.
The hitch is attached to the frame rail using (4) M12 x 1.75 x 40mm CL8.8 hex bolts with conical washers, and (1) 1/2-13 x 1.50 GR5 carriage bolt with a conical washer and hex nut. The M12 bolts are installed through existing weldnuts in the frame rail. The 1/2-13 carriage bolt is fed through the frame using the reverse pull-wire procedure.
The 1/4" x 1.00" x 2.00" spacer is used with the 1/2-13 carriage bolt when feeding it into the passenger side frame rail using the reverse pull-wire procedure in step 4. It helps position the bolt correctly within the frame.
After the hitch is secured with all fasteners tightened to specification, raise the exhaust system back into position at the 3 rubber isolator locations. Spraying lubricant or soapy water on the metal hanger rod and rubber isolator helps with reinstallation. The rubber isolators that were removed in step 1 should now be installed on the hitch's 7/16 carriage bolts as described in step 3.
If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply your brakes and do not speed up. Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit.
Load the trailer heavier in front. This helps with stability and control when towing.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball that has been damaged should be removed and replaced.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual emphasizes that proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.

No. Do not cut, weld, or modify the receiver. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Modifications to the hitch may compromise its structural integrity and safety.
Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used.
