Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.

Yes. The 76428 is designed for 2020-current Toyota Venza models. Visit the manufacturer's website for the most up-to-date information regarding specific application years and trim levels.
The manual specifies the 76428 is for 2020-current Toyota Venza only. For other model years, contact the manufacturer at 800-632-3290 or visit www.horizonglobal.com for compatibility information.
The 76428 is a weight-carrying hitch with a maximum gross trailer weight of 3500 lb (1588 kg) and maximum tongue weight of 525 lb (238 kg). Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
Required tools: ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, 18 mm socket, 19 mm socket, 6-inch socket extension, M12x1.25 tap, M12x1.25 crowfoot socket, pliers, and exhaust removal pliers.
The fastener kit 76428F includes: (4) M12x1.25x30 bolts, Class 8.8, and (4) conical washers, 1/2 inch. The conical washer teeth side must face against the hitch.
Yes. You must lower the exhaust muffler by removing the rubber hangers at three locations using exhaust removal pliers. Be sure to support the exhaust before removing the rubber hangers. The hitch brackets slide above the exhaust pipe during installation.
No drilling is required. The hitch uses existing weldnuts on the frame rails. However, you must clean the weldnuts using an M12x1.25 tap and bend the heat shield upward at the center section using pliers.
Yes. Using pliers, slightly bend the heat shield upward at the center section. This is a minor, non-permanent modification.
All M12 fasteners must be tightened with a torque wrench to 76 Ft. Lb. (103 N·M). Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
No. Due to the narrow space around the passenger side frame rails, you must use a 19 mm crowfoot wrench to secure the M12 bolts on the passenger side. A regular socket will not fit in this confined space.
The M12 bolts should be loosely installed first (step 5), then fully tightened to 76 Ft. Lb. (103 N·M) with a torque wrench (step 6), and only then should the rubber hangers and exhaust muffler be reinstalled (step 7).
The two M12 factory bolts and bracket removed from the rear passenger side in step 2 should be returned to the vehicle owner. They are not reused in the hitch installation.
After installation, check that all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual recommends checking the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball remain properly tightened during use.
The maximum tongue weight is 525 lb (238 kg). Do not exceed this limit or the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating.
If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply your brakes and do not speed up. Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit.
No. Do not cut, weld, or modify the receiver. Doing so may compromise the structural integrity and safety of the hitch.
A hitch or ball that has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not continue to use a damaged hitch.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
The manual states that the average installation time for professional installers is 40 minutes. If you do not feel comfortable performing the installation on your own or are in need of assistance, contact a professional installer.
