Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.

The first step is to remove the front bottom appearance panel. Use a 10mm socket to remove 7 screws from the front end and 2 screws from the intersection line between front and rear panels. Use a flat head screwdriver to remove 4 push rivets from the bottom panel and 8 from the wheel well (4 per side). Use a T25 Torx bit socket to remove 2 screws from the rear bottom panel. Pull the rear panel downward and loosen it from studs.
Locate the plastic trim piece inside the wheel well trim. Use a panel removal tool to remove 2 clips from the bottom and 4 clips from the side of the plastic trim piece on each side. Use your hand to remove 1 plastic washer from the wheel well liners on each side. Gently pull the wheel well liners back. Use a 10mm socket to remove 1 screw from the fascia connection point on each side.
Open the hatch and remove the interior carpet liner. Use plastic trim tools to loosen the weather stripping around the left and right trunk panels. Detach the upper and lower trunk panels from 4 snap clips by gently pulling towards the center. Behind the panels, use an 8mm socket to remove 2 nuts from each taillight (both sides). Underneath each taillight, use a 10mm socket to remove 1 bolt connecting to the fascia (both sides).
Use plastic trim tools to remove the fascia starting at the outer edges near the wheel wells and gently pull the fascia. Disconnect the wiring harness on the passenger side if present. Carefully set the fascia aside for reinstallation.
Use a 10mm socket to remove 4 bolts from the sensor bracket. Use a 15mm socket to remove 6 factory flange nuts from the bumper beam. Return the bumper beam to the owner.
Raise the hitch into position and loosely tighten it to the studs. Torque 3 factory flange nuts to the studs on each side. Tighten all fasteners with a torque wrench to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N·M).
Reinstall the wiring harness, fascia, fasteners, trunk panels, wheel well liners, and bottom appearance panel that were removed in steps 1-5. Ensure all components are properly secured before use.
Three factory flange nuts are used on each side of the hitch (6 total). These are torqued to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N·M) using a torque wrench.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle. Do not use a torch to cut access or attachment holes. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not continue to use a damaged hitch for towing.
Always wear your seatbelt. Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit. Load the trailer heavier in front. Do not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's rating or the hitch rating (3500 lb GVWR, 525 lb tongue weight).
