Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.

The maximum gross trailer weight (GTW) is 2000 lb. (907 kg) and the maximum tongue weight is 200 lb. (90.7 kg). This is a weight-carrying hitch. However, you must never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity. The lowest capacity of any component in your towing system—gross trailer weight, tongue weight, trailer hitch, or vehicle—determines the maximum load you can safely tow.
You will need: a ratchet, a torque wrench, 11/16" sockets, and safety glasses. The installation difficulty is rated as Beginner.
The fastener kit 76643F includes: (4) carriage bolts 7/16-14 x 1.50 Gr5, (2) spacer blocks 0.10 x 0.88 x 2.00, (2) spacer blocks 1/4 x 7/8 x 3.00, (4) conical washers 7/16-14, (4) hex nuts 7/16-14 GR2, and (4) pull wires 7/16. The small spacer block (0.10 x 0.88 x 2.00) is located at the rearmost attachments.
1. Feed the coiled end of pull wires through existing holes on the outer side of the frame rail and out of the access hole at the bottom of the frame (2 per side). 2. Attach the 7/16" carriage bolts and spacer blocks to the pull wires and pull fasteners inside the frame rails. Install rear fasteners first. Leave pull wires attached. 3. Temporarily leave fasteners inside the frame rails. 4. Raise the hitch into position by installing the driver's side of the hitch first over the top of the exhaust tailpipe. 5. Feed the ends of all pull wires through the mounting holes in the hitch. 6. Align holes in the hitch with holes in the frame. Using pull wires, pull bolts through hitch mounting holes and into position. 7. Remove pull wires and loosely install conical washers and hex nuts onto carriage bolts (4 places, 2 per side). 8. Torque all 7/16-14 Gr5 fasteners to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N·M).
Install the driver's side of the hitch first. Raise the hitch into position by installing the driver's side over the top of the exhaust tailpipe.
No. After removing the pull wires, loosely install the conical washers and hex nuts onto the carriage bolts (4 places, 2 per side). Only after all fasteners are in place should you torque them to the specified value of 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N·M).
All 7/16-14 Gr5 fasteners must be torqued to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N·M) using a torque wrench. Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
The spacer blocks are attached to the pull wires and fasteners inside the frame rails to maintain proper spacing and alignment during installation. Two sizes are included: the small spacer block (0.10 x 0.88 x 2.00) is located at the rearmost attachments, and the larger spacer block (1/4 x 7/8 x 3.00) is used at the forward attachments.
The conical washers (7/16-14) are installed with the teeth side against the hitch. They help distribute the load and maintain proper clamping force when the hex nuts are torqued to specification.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
No. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This could damage the hitch and create safety hazards.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not continue to use a damaged hitch.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection.
Regularly check that all fasteners are tight and your hitch is securely mounted to the vehicle. Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. In order to ensure hitch towing capacity and longevity of the product, ensure that all fasteners are torqued to the prescribed torque within the installation instructions.
Yes. For additional security, thread locker can be used on all fasteners.
