Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

The Draw-tite Class 4 Trailer Hitch, 2" Square Receiver, Black for Select Ford F-150, Lincoln Mark LT 75156 (Part #DT75156) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
No. The manual explicitly states this hitch will not fit F-150 pickups that previously had OEM hitches installed. If your truck has an existing OEM hitch, this product is not compatible.
Yes. Part numbers 44655, 75156, and 87195 are designed for both Ford F-150 and Lincoln Mark LT vehicles.
No. On Flareside models, the vibration dampener assembly cannot be reinstalled with the hitch and must be permanently removed for hitch installation.
You will need a ¾" wrench, a 7/16" drill bit, and a torque wrench. Fishwire is provided with the kit. A torque wrench is essential for tightening fasteners to the specified 75 lb.-ft. for ½-13 GR5 fasteners and 38 lb.-ft. for M10 fasteners.
The kit includes 6 carriage bolts ½-13, 6 lock washers ½", 6 blocks ¼ X 3", and 6 hex nuts ½-13. The fastener kit part numbers are F41549 or KA-8002-291. The vibration dampener reinstallation uses existing M10 fasteners from the vehicle.
Only if your vehicle has a vibration dampener assembly mounted to the driver's side frame rail. If equipped, you must remove and retain the dampener and its fasteners before hitch installation. The dampener will be reinstalled after the hitch is in place, except on Flareside models where it cannot be reinstalled.
Lowering the spare tire may ease installation, according to the manual. It is optional but recommended to improve access during the installation process.
Raise the hitch into position, aligning the holes in the hitch side brackets with the holes in the vehicle frame. Install ¼ X 3 blocks and carriage bolts through the end of the frame into the rearmost slot on each side, fastening with lock washers and nuts. Finger-tighten only at this stage. Then use fishwire to install the forward blocks and bolts through the forward-most square hole in the frame rail on each side.
Fishwire is a flexible wire tool provided with the kit. It is used to thread the forward-most ¼ X 3 blocks and carriage bolts through the forward-most square hole in the side of the frame rail and into the holes aligned with the hitch side bracket holes. This allows you to guide fasteners through the frame cavity.
The ¼ X 3 blocks are installed through the frame rail cavity. If they overlap inside the frame, they will interfere with each other and prevent proper fastening. You must verify that the blocks do not overlap before tightening any fasteners.
Drilling is required only if your vehicle has a vibration dampener that needs to be reinstalled. You must drill a 7/16" hole through the spring shackle bracket and the adjoining face of the dampener bracket to secure the dampener with an existing M10 fastener. No drilling is required for the main hitch installation on the frame.
A 7/16" drill bit is required. This hole is drilled through the spring shackle bracket and the adjoining face of the dampener bracket to accommodate the existing M10 fastener.
All ½-13 GR5 fasteners must be tightened with a torque wrench to 75 lb.-ft. This applies to the carriage bolts, lock washers, and hex nuts that secure the hitch to the frame.
M10 fasteners on the vibration dampener must be tightened with a torque wrench to 38 lb.-ft. This applies to both the dampener bracket attachment to the dampener and the spring shackle bracket connection.
The hitch has two capacity ratings depending on the ball mount type: Weight Distributing hitch supports a maximum gross trailer weight of 8000 lb. and maximum tongue weight of 800 lb. Weight Carrying Ball Mount supports a maximum gross trailer weight of 6000 lb. and maximum tongue weight of 600 lb. Do not exceed the lower of the towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these hitch ratings.
Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball that has been damaged should be removed and replaced immediately.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual recommends regular inspection to verify that no fasteners have loosened during use.
The rearmost fasteners on each side are finger-tightened only during Step 2. The forward fasteners are installed in Step 3. After the vibration dampener is reinstalled (if equipped), all fasteners are tightened to their final torque specification of 75 lb.-ft. for ½-13 GR5 fasteners. Do not fully tighten fasteners until the dampener installation is complete.
1. Raise the hitch and finger-tighten the rearmost fasteners. 2. Install the forward fasteners using fishwire. 3. If the vehicle has a vibration dampener, remove it before final tightening. 4. Reinstall the dampener by attaching its bracket to the dampener with existing M10 fasteners (38 lb.-ft.), securing it with ½" fasteners at the rearmost driver's side point, and drilling a 7/16" hole through the spring shackle bracket and dampener bracket for the final M10 fastener (38 lb.-ft.). 5. Finally, tighten all hitch fasteners to 75 lb.-ft.
No. This hitch will not fit F-150 pickups that previously had OEM hitches installed.
No. On Flareside models, the vibration dampener cannot be reinstalled with the hitch and must be permanently removed.
You need a ¾" wrench, 7/16" drill bit, torque wrench, and fishwire (provided). A torque wrench is essential for proper fastener tightening.
Tighten all ½-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 lb.-ft. with a torque wrench.
Weight Distributing: 8000 lb. gross trailer weight, 800 lb. tongue weight. Weight Carrying Ball Mount: 6000 lb. gross trailer weight, 600 lb. tongue weight. Do not exceed the lower of the vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
No drilling is required for the main hitch frame attachment. Drilling is only needed if your vehicle has a vibration dampener that must be reinstalled (7/16" hole through spring shackle and dampener brackets).
Wear eye protection, work safely beneath the vehicle, and do not use a torch to cut holes. If removed, plug all frame holes to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering. Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
Only if your vehicle has a dampener on the driver's side frame rail. If equipped, remove it before installation and reinstall it after (except on Flareside models where it must be permanently removed).
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Inspect regularly during use.
Stop installation immediately. The manual warns that blocks must not overlap inside the frame before tightening. If overlap occurs, loosen the fasteners, reposition the blocks to ensure they do not overlap, and then retighten. Overlapping blocks will prevent proper fastening and hitch security.
Retighten all fasteners to their specified torque values: 75 lb.-ft. for ½-13 GR5 fasteners and 38 lb.-ft. for M10 fasteners on the vibration dampener. The manual recommends checking the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball remain properly tightened during use.
A hitch or ball that has been damaged should be removed and replaced immediately. Do not continue to use a damaged hitch, as it compromises towing safety and may not meet the towing capacity ratings.
Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
