Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.

Part numbers 41913, 96913, and CQT41913 are designed for 2019-Current RAM 1500 models. Visit the manufacturer's website for the most up-to-date information regarding specific application years and trim levels, as compatibility may vary.
The maximum gross trailer weight depends on hitch type: Weight Carrying hitches support up to 15,000 lb. (6,810 kg) with a maximum tongue weight of 1,700 lb. (771 kg). Weight Distributing hitches support up to 17,000 lb. (7,718 kg) with a maximum tongue weight of 1,700 lb. (771 kg). Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
Required tools include: ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, sockets (10mm, 15mm, 16mm, 17mm, 21mm, 22mm, 3/4", 7/8"), 6" socket extension, pry tool, and hammer. A torque wrench is essential for proper fastener tightening.
Yes. The first installation step is to lower the spare tire using the lowering tools located under the passenger side seat, then set it aside for reinstallation after the hitch installation is complete.
Yes. The OEM hitch must be removed before installation. Remove all 8 M14 bolts (4 each side: 3 in the side of the framerail and 1 in the bottom) using a 21mm socket. Save these bolts for reinstallation later, as the shorter M14 bolts will be reused to attach the new hitch.
Yes. The bumper must be removed before hitch installation. Unplug the electrical connector at the driver-side framerail, pry out plastic connectors holding bumper wiring to the OEM hitch, remove 2 M10 bolts from behind the license plate (15mm socket), and remove 4 M10 nuts (2 each side, 16mm socket). Support the bumper during removal.
No drilling is required. The hitch uses existing frame welds and slots. However, you must flatten the exhaust heat shield tabs against the truck frame using a metal hammer so they will be sandwiched between the hitch and frame. Do not use a torch to cut any access or attachment holes.
A fishwire is a flexible wire tool used to route fasteners through the vehicle frame. For this hitch, you fishwire the carriage bolts (item 1) and spacers (items 3 and 4) into the frame through the hitch slots. The manual includes a fishwire example diagram. Kink the pull wire to keep the spacer independent of the bolt.
Two types of M14 bolts are reused: the shorter M14 bolts removed from the bottom of the frame are installed through the hitch into the existing weldnut in the truck frame (one per side, 3rd slot from rear). The longer M14 bolts removed from the OEM hitch are reinstalled through the bumper brackets and truck frame during bumper bracket installation.
Torque specifications are: M14 fasteners to 100 Lb.-Ft. (136 N·M); 1/2-13 Gr8 fasteners to 110 Lb.-Ft. (149 N·M); 1/2-13 Gr5 fasteners to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N·M); M10 fasteners to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N·M). Use a torque wrench for all fasteners. Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
All M14 fasteners must be tightened to 100 Lb.-Ft. (136 N·M) using a torque wrench.
All 1/2-13 Gr8 fasteners must be tightened to 110 Lb.-Ft. (149 N·M) using a torque wrench.
All 1/2-13 Gr5 fasteners must be tightened to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N·M) using a torque wrench.
All M10 fasteners must be tightened to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N·M) using a torque wrench.
The 41913F fastener kit includes: 6 carriage bolts (1/2-13 x 1.75 Gr8), 6 heavy hex nuts (1/2-13 Gr2H), 2 spacers (0.25 x 1.50 x 2.00, part 3719), 4 spacers (0.25 x 1.50 x 2.00, part 1540), 10 conical tooth washers 1/2" (part 012920008), 4 conical tooth washers 5/8" (part 012920010), 4 hex nuts (M14x2.0 Cl 9/8), 2 hex bolts (1/2-13 x 1.75 Gr5), 2 hex nuts (1/2-13 Gr5), 2 hex bolts (M10x1.5x35 CL8.8), 8 conical tooth washers 7/16" (part 01292007), 6 hex nuts (M10x1.5 CL10), and 6 pull wires 1/2" (part 5482).
Conical tooth washers must always be installed with the teeth side facing toward the hitch. This applies to all conical washers used in the installation, including 1/2", 5/8", and 7/16" sizes.
The installation sequence is: 1) Lower spare tire, 2) Remove bumper, 3) Remove OEM hitch, 4) Remove heat shield bolts and flatten tabs, 5) Install hitch using M14 bolts and fishwired carriage bolts, 6) Install bumper brackets, 7) Install bumper, 8) Reattach electrical connector, 9) Torque all fasteners, 10) Reinstall spare tire.
The shorter M14 bolts (removed from the bottom of the truck frame) should align with the 3rd slot from the rear of the hitch. These bolts are installed through the hitch and into the existing weldnut in the truck frame, one per side.
Spacers with part number 3719 (0.25 x 1.50 x 2.00, qty 2) go in the forwardmost slot on the hitch. These spacers have an offset hole and are fishwired with carriage bolts (item 1) into the frame.
Spacers with part number 1540 (0.25 x 1.50 x 2.00, qty 4) go in the remaining slots on the hitch. These are fishwired with carriage bolts (item 1) into the frame.
Always wear safety glasses when installing the hitch. Observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle. Support the bumper during removal. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Check all fasteners are tight and the hitch is securely mounted periodically after installation.
If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply your brakes and do not speed up.
Load the trailer heavier in front. This helps maintain proper weight distribution and stability while towing.
After installation, verify that all fasteners are tight and the hitch is securely mounted to the vehicle. Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual emphasizes periodic checking to ensure the hitch remains securely mounted to the vehicle when towing.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not continue to use a damaged hitch or ball.
Yes, part numbers 41913, 96913, and CQT41913 fit 2019-Current RAM 1500 models. Check the manufacturer's website for specific trim level compatibility.

Ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, sockets (10mm, 15mm, 16mm, 17mm, 21mm, 22mm, 3/4", 7/8"), 6" socket extension, pry tool, and hammer.
Yes. Both the OEM hitch and bumper must be removed before installation. The spare tire must also be lowered and set aside.
No drilling is required. You must flatten the exhaust heat shield tabs against the truck frame using a hammer. Do not use a torch to cut holes.
M14: 100 Lb.-Ft. (136 N·M); 1/2-13 Gr8: 110 Lb.-Ft. (149 N·M); 1/2-13 Gr5: 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N·M); M10: 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N·M).
Always wear safety glasses during installation. Do not cut holes with a torch. Check fasteners periodically. Do not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's towing rating or the hitch rating.
Verify all fasteners are tight and the hitch is securely mounted. Check frequently that all fasteners and the ball remain properly tightened.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners remain properly tightened. If fasteners are found to be loose, retighten them to the specified torque values: M14 fasteners to 100 Lb.-Ft. (136 N·M), 1/2-13 Gr8 to 110 Lb.-Ft. (149 N·M), 1/2-13 Gr5 to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N·M), and M10 to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N·M).
Adjust the bumper position as necessary for proper alignment. The bumper studs align with holes in the hitch bumper bracket, and the position can be adjusted before final tightening of all fasteners.
Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
