Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

Yes, the Draw-tite Ultra Frame® Class 5 Trailer Hitch, 2" Square Receiver, Black 41938 (Part #DT41938) is designed to fit the 1963-1986 Chevrolet C10.
The Draw-tite Ultra Frame® Class 5 Trailer Hitch, 2" Square Receiver, Black 41938 (Part #DT41938) fits 1963-1986 Chevrolet C10 models. The 2025 model year is the last year covered by this part number. For newer models, check for an updated version.
The Draw-tite Ultra Frame® Class 5 Trailer Hitch, 2" Square Receiver, Black 41938 (Part #DT41938) Drilling is required for installation. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Part 41938 fits Chevrolet and GMC Cab & Chassis models with an 8' box only. Your vehicle must have a minimum of 19" from the end of the frame rail to the spring shackle bracket. This hitch is not compatible with 6' box (short wheelbase) vehicles. Confirm your box length and frame spacing before purchasing.
Yes, part 41938 is designed for Ford 350 Super Duty Cab & Chassis with an 8' box. Your vehicle must have a minimum of 19" from the end of the frame rail to the spring shackle bracket. Do not install on vehicles with a 6' box.
No. The manual explicitly states: "Under no circumstances is this hitch to be installed on a vehicle with 6' box (short wheelbase)." This hitch is designed only for 8' box vehicles.
Your vehicle must have a minimum of 19" from the end of the frame rail to the spring shackle bracket. Measure this distance before installation to confirm compatibility.
On 1981 and later models with factory step bumpers, the support brackets must be removed from the frame during hitch installation. These brackets should be retained for replacement if the hitch is later removed. Important: the step bumper should not be used for towing with the brackets removed.
The spare tire and carrier must be removed before installation. If you want to retain under-box tire storage, the spare tire carrier will need to be relocated and/or modified after the receiver is installed. The manual does not specify the extent of modification required.
You will need: wrenches in 13/16" and 7/8" sizes, a 9/16" drill bit, and a torque wrench capable of applying 110 Lb.-Ft. (149 N-M) of torque.
The fastener kit 41938F includes: (8) hex bolts 9/16-18 x 1-3/4" GR5, (8) flanged locknuts 9/16-18, (2) spacers 3/8 x 1-1/2 x 3" with single hole, (2) spacers 3/8 x 1-1/2 x 3" with 2 holes, and (2) spacers 3/8 x 1-1/2 x 2".
Yes. Step 1 of the installation instructions states: "Remove the spare tire and carrier from the vehicle." This is a required step before positioning the receiver.
Yes. Step 3 states: "Using the receiver as a template, drill and/or enlarge the remaining holes." You will need a 9/16" drill bit. The manual does not permit cutting holes with a torch.
No. The manual explicitly states: "Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch." Use a 9/16" drill bit instead.
All 9/16-18 GR5 fasteners must be tightened to 110 Lb.-Ft. (149 N-M) using a torque wrench. This applies to all 8 hex bolts.
The hitch has two capacity ratings depending on type: Weight Distributing hitch supports max 15,000 Lb. gross trailer weight and 1,500 Lb. tongue weight; Weight Carrying Ball Mount supports max 12,000 Lb. gross trailer weight and 1,200 Lb. tongue weight. Do not exceed the lower of the towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these hitch limits.
Step 2 states: "Position the receiver on the vehicle with the rear attaching holes aligned with the slots in the end of the frame." Step 3 continues: "Center the receiver on the frame." Use the receiver as a template to mark and drill the remaining holes.
Step 4 states: "Install all fasteners as shown, placing the blocks inside the frame rails." The kit includes spacers of different sizes (3/8 x 1-1/2 x 3" single-hole, 3/8 x 1-1/2 x 3" dual-hole, and 3/8 x 1-1/2 x 2") that must be positioned inside the frame rails during fastener installation.
Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut holes with a torch. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A damaged hitch or ball must be removed and replaced immediately.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual recommends regular inspection as part of ongoing maintenance.
The manual states: "Check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened." No specific interval is provided, but regular inspection is recommended.
The hitch complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
The 41938 fits Chevrolet & GMC Cab & Chassis and Ford 350 Super Duty Cab & Chassis with 8' boxes only. Your vehicle must have at least 19" from the frame rail end to the spring shackle bracket. It does not fit 6' box vehicles.
You need 13/16" and 7/8" wrenches, a 9/16" drill bit, and a torque wrench for 110 Lb.-Ft. specification.
All 9/16-18 GR5 hex bolts must be tightened to 110 Lb.-Ft. (149 N-M) using a torque wrench.
Weight Distributing: 15,000 Lb. max trailer weight, 1,500 Lb. tongue weight. Weight Carrying Ball Mount: 12,000 Lb. max trailer weight, 1,200 Lb. tongue weight. Do not exceed your vehicle manufacturer's rating.
Yes, the spare tire and carrier must be removed before installation. If you want to retain under-box tire storage, the carrier will need to be relocated and/or modified after installation.
On 1981 and later models with factory step bumpers, the support brackets must be removed for hitch installation. The step bumper cannot be used for towing with the brackets removed.
Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
