Whether you're on the job or off-roading through the wilderness, it doesn't take long for rocks and other debris to wreak havoc on the body of your truck. LUVERNE Textured Rubber Mud Guards are the perfect solution for maintaining that pristine, professional look. For the front or rear of the truck, these custom mud flaps add style and body protection. They are constructed from heavy-duty black rubber that stands up to road debris and sheds water with ease. They feature 18-gauge stainless steel plates to help protect the bottom edge and extend the life of the mud flaps. With their 3/8" thick, recycled rubber construction, Textured Rubber Mud Guards easily deflect everything from mud to gravel, protecting the body of your truck from scratches, chips and scuffs. They are also made to add a stylish accent to your truck, featuring stainless steel plates along the bottom edge of each flap. The plates are made from 18-gauge stainless steel to provide a heavy-duty, rust-resistant shield, and they feature a bright, high-polish finish for a long-lasting shine. The textured finish of the rubber mud flaps is also designed to easily hide minor scuffs and scratches and maintain a clean appearance. For an easy installation and a custom fit, these truck mud flaps are made vehicle-specific. This particular set fits specific years of the Ford F150 (see application info to verify fitment). They install with corrosion-resistant fasteners and high-strength steel mounting brackets with a galvanized finish for long-lasting durability. Universal mud flaps are also available.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes. Both the 251520 and 251523 mudguards can be mounted on the front or rear of the vehicle. The installation process differs between front and rear mounting, with different fastening points and support structures used for each location.
You will need a drill with a 9/32" drill bit and a 3/8" drill bit. A 3/8" bit is required only if the support tube does not have a pre-existing hole during front installation. Basic hand tools for fastener installation are also needed. The manual does not specify additional tools required.
Yes. The kit includes all fasteners needed for installation: 8 aluminum hex head screws (1/4-20 X 1.5"), 8 aluminum lock nuts (1/4-20), 8 aluminum flat washers, 8 fender washers (1/4"-1"), 2 nylon washers (.360" X 1.5"), 4 stainless steel pan head screws (8-15 X 1.75"), 4 stainless steel flat washers, and 2 rear support braces. The rock guard fasteners and factory splash guard bolt are not reused.
Yes. You must remove the two fasteners holding the rock guard to the bottom of the fender. These fasteners will not be reused. If your vehicle has a factory fender flare covering these fasteners, you will need to drill a hole at each fastener location using a 9/32" drill bit before removal.
During front installation, you must remove a square plastic plug from the square support tube located behind the fender liner. This plug can be reused if desired. The support tube is used to mount the inboard corner of the mudguard.
Yes. During rear installation, you must remove the factory splash guard bolt. This bolt is then reinstalled with a nylon washer (.360" X 1.5") and the support brace (Item #10) as shown in Figure 2.
Position the mudguard in its final position so it is level and upright, then tighten all fasteners. For front installation, it is recommended to start with the top fastener. Be careful not to over-tighten fasteners.
Yes. Drilling is required for both front and rear installation. For front mounting, you must drill a 9/32" hole through the fender lip at the top mounting location (Step 6). If the support tube does not have a pre-existing hole, you must drill a 3/8" hole through the support tube (Step 5). For rear mounting, you must drill a 9/32" hole through the fender lip at the top mounting location (Step 14). If your vehicle has a factory fender flare, you may need to drill 9/32" holes at rock guard fastener locations.
Two drill bit sizes are required: a 9/32" bit and a 3/8" bit. The 9/32" bit is used to drill holes through the fender lip and at rock guard fastener locations if a factory fender flare is present. The 3/8" bit is used only if the support tube does not have a pre-existing hole during front installation.
The manual does not provide torque specifications for any fasteners. It only advises to be careful not to over-tighten fasteners when tightening all fasteners after positioning the mudguard in its final position.
Front mudguard mounting uses: two 8-15 X 1.75" stainless steel pan head screws (Item #8), two #8 stainless steel flat washers (Item #9), two black 1/4" X 1" flat washers (Item #6) for fender attachment; one 1/4-20 X 1.5" aluminum hex head screw (Item #3), two 1/4" aluminum flat washers (Item #5), one 1/4"-1" black fender washer (Item #6), one 1/4-20 aluminum lock nut (Item #4) for support tube attachment; and one 1/4-20 X 1.5" aluminum hex head screw (Item #3), two 1/4" aluminum flat washers (Item #5), one 1/4"-1" black fender washer (Item #6), one 1/4-20 aluminum lock nut (Item #4) for top fender lip attachment.

The parts list shows separate left-hand (LH) and right-hand (RH) mudguard part numbers for both the 12" X 20" (552812 LH, 552813 RH) and 12" X 23" (552814 LH, 552815 RH) models. Confirm which mudguards are included with your kit. The installation instructions require repeating the process for the left side of the vehicle, indicating both sides must be installed separately.
Yes. During front installation, the fasteners attaching the mudguard to the fender (Step 4) and to the support tube (Step 5) should be left loose until the mudguard is positioned in its final position. During rear installation, fasteners are installed but the mudguard is adjusted to be level and upright before final tightening. Yes. Remove the rock guard fasteners (not reused) and the square plastic plug from the support tube (front). For rear installation, remove the factory splash guard bolt (reused with new hardware).
Leave fasteners loose while positioning the mudguard level and upright. For front installation, start tightening with the top fastener. Do not over-tighten. Repeat for the left side.
