LUVERNE Grip Step 7" running boards for vans are the ideal work van accessories, adding safe, dependable footing to your cargo van with a vehicle-specific fit. Grip Step van steps are equipped with high-traction treads for fleet-approved safety, and they are made from powder-coated aluminum to be lightweight and provide long-lasting resistance to the elements. All Grip Step running boards are engineered for vehicle-specific installation. These van steps offer a custom fit for certain years and styles of the Ford E150, E150 Econoline, E250, E250 Econoline, E350 Super Duty, E450 Super Duty and E450 Econoline Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment with your cargo van). They come with two shorter steps, one for the driver-side door and one for the passenger-side door. They also come with powder-coated steel brackets and stainless steel hardware for a complete install. Grip Step running boards for vans are optimized for delivery trucks, construction vehicles and other commercial vans. They feature a 7" width, covered with expanded metal treads to grip the bottom of your boots for safe entry and exit every time. The metal treads are also highly resistant to wear, and they help keep the steps clean with their open, through-hole design. The aluminum construction of LUVERNE Grip Step running boards makes them strong for a rigid step, but lightweight for optimized fuel efficiency. Aluminum is also highly corrosion-resistant. To maximize corrosion resistance, Grip Step van steps are shielded in a textured black powder coat finish. This gives them an impervious layer of protection against the elements and resists chipping and UV damage. The black running boards also complement the look and style of your cargo van, adding a professional finishing touch. To complete the look, we also offer rear Grip Step van steps, providing safe, convenient access to the rear cargo area.
Grip Step van running boards are designed to be the best running boards for work vans and cargo vans, featuring a unique expanded metal tread pattern for superior traction and a 7" width for reliable footing.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The Model 570121 O-Mega Step is designed for 2001 and newer Ford Cut-A-Way Vans. The step plates (Model 585054) must be cut down to approximately 36-1/2" for proper fitment on these vehicles.
The Model 415036 36" Grip Steps (Boards Only) package includes: 2 grip step extrusions (part 551699), 4 upper support braces (part 551296), 4 end caps (part 551394), 4 lower spacer plates (part 551298), 8 carriage bolts 5/16-18 x 1" (part 108683), 8 flat washers 5/16" (part 101369), 8 serrated flange nuts 5/16-18 (part 102680), and 8 self-drilling tek screws #8 x 1/2" (part 107958). The grip steps are boards only; mounting brackets are sold separately and require their own installation instructions.
Yes. The Model 415036 includes only the step boards and hardware. You must purchase a specific bracket package separately and follow the installation instructions that come with that bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle.
Before starting installation, read all instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand. For Model 415036, ensure you have the specific bracket package and its instructions. For Model 570121, confirm you have all mounting brackets, fasteners, and step plates.
1. Slide the appropriate number of support braces (part 551296) into the channel of each step (part 551699). 2. Slide the end cap (part 551394) over the front and rear of each step. 3. Using the supplied #8 x 1/2" self-drilling tek screw (part 107958), screw the end cap to the bottom of the step.
1. Set the step assembly on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support brace over the top of each mounting bracket. 3. Attach the flat spacer plate (part 551298) to the bottom of the step, between the support brace and the top of the mounting bracket. 4. Using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1" carriage bolt (part 108683), washer (part 101369), and flange nut (part 102680), attach the step assembly, spacer plate, and mounting bracket. 5. Set the step plate in the correct position and tighten all fasteners to 19 lb-ft torque.
1. On the passenger side, remove tape covering mounting holes in the inside quarter panel (two front locations). 2. Install short 5/16-18" multi-thread U-nuts (part 104264) at the first hole from the front, and long U-nuts (part 105541) at the second set of holes. 3. Install front and center mounting brackets using 5/16-18 x 1" hex bolts (part 106997), flat washers (part 106998), and lock washers (part 102668); finger tighten only. 4. Install bolts through the lower pinch weld using hex bolts, flat washers, and serrated flange nuts (part 106996); finger tighten only. 5. Tighten the pinch weld bolt first, then the U-nut bolts to 19 foot-pounds. 6. Repeat steps 1–5 on the driver side. 7. Cut step plates to approximately 36-1/2" using a hacksaw or band saw. 8. Install three square head screws (part 106880) in the front and rear track of the step plates. 9. Reinstall the end cap and bolt it down. 10. Position the O-Mega step on the brackets so square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. Install serrated flange nuts (part 102680) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 foot-pounds.
Only if your vehicle does not have pre-drilled holes in the pinch weld. If holes are not present, you must drill them. Using the hole in the bracket as a guide, drill an Ø11/32" hole through the pinch weld at each bracket location. Make sure the brackets are tight against the body panels before drilling.
The O-Mega step plates (Model 585054) must be cut down to approximately 36-1/2". Remove the end cap from the unbolted end. Using a hacksaw or band saw, cut the step plates to length. After cutting, reinstall the end cap and bolt it down with the end set of bolts.

Use 5/16-18 x 1" square head screws (part 106880) installed in the front and rear track of the step plates. Secure these with 5/16" serrated flange nuts (part 102680) and torque to 19 foot-pounds. The square head screws must be positioned in the slots of the mounting brackets.
Position the O-Mega step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Then install the 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten the step plate mounting bolts to 19 foot-pounds.
