Get the job done right with LUVERNE Grip Step 7" running boards. These roughneck truck side steps feature a unique expanded metal tread pattern for superior traction and a 7" width for reliable footing. They are built from aluminum alloy for exceptional, rust-free strength, and they are simple to install using high-strength vehicle-specific brackets. The rugged, expanded metal tread and angular design of Grip Step running boards truly makes them a side accessory fit for your work truck or commercial van. No matter the season, the superior traction of Grip Steps locks onto the bottom of your boots and provides safe vehicle entry and exit. Because they boast an impressive 7" width, the side steps are as comfortable as they are skid-resistant. We know the job doesn't make exceptions to keep your vehicle looking pretty, and that is why Grip Step running boards are made from aluminum and shielded in a tough powder coat finish. We use a 5052 aluminum alloy to provide maximum strength and unstoppable rust resistance. To finish things off and add a professional touch, we also apply a durable textured black powder coat and contoured black plastic end caps to further protect against dirt, moisture and other threats on the job. To make installation as simple as possible, Grip Step 7" running boards are each designed for a custom-fit installation, using vehicle-specific mounting brackets. The brackets are covered in a durable black powder coat finish and bolt onto the boards using stainless steel fasteners for long-lasting strength. This particular set of Grip Step running boards is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 1500 HD, 2500 HD, 2500 or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 1500, 1500 HD, 2500 HD, 3500 or 3500 HD (see application info to verify fitment). These running boards come with brackets, but the brackets are shipped separately.
Grip Step running boards are designed to be the best running boards for work trucks, featuring a unique expanded metal tread pattern for superior traction and a 7" width for reliable footing.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The LUVERNE Grip Step 7" x 88" Black Aluminum Running Boards, Select Silverado, Sierra 415088-401113 (Part #FTNF415088-401113) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Yes, the Model 401113 step brackets are designed for 1999 GM Silverado and Sierra Extended and Crew Cab pickups. The brackets mount to the factory body mount points on the cab. Note: if you have a 1500 model pickup, you must also attach bracket item #14 to brackets items #1 and #2 in order to use the load reaction stud.
Yes. If you are mounting the 401113 step brackets on a 1500 model pickup, you must attach bracket item #14 (90-degree, 3-hole bracket) to brackets items #1 and #2 in order to use the load reaction stud. This bracket is included in the parts list.
The package includes: 2 front mounting brackets (LH/RH), 2 center mounting brackets (LH/RH), 2 rear outboard mounting brackets (LH/RH), 2 rear inboard mounting brackets, 6 rubber cushion washers, 12 flat washers (3/8"), 24 serrated flange nuts (3/8"-16 UNC), 6 double-ended studs (3/8"-16 x 4.50"), 6 bolts (3/8"-16 x 1.00"), 2 flat washers (.59 ID x 1.06 OD), 2 90-degree brackets (3 holes), 2 hex head cap screws (5/16"-18 x 1.00"), 2 serrated flange nuts (5/16"-18), and 2 stainless steel flat washers (5/16").
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts (one side of the vehicle at a time) and install the mounting brackets in their place. The manual instructs you to leave these fasteners finger-tight during initial installation, then tighten them to the manufacturer's specifications after all brackets are positioned.
Yes. Due to excessive thread locker in the body mount bolt area on 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra models, use caution when removing the body mount bolts to reduce the risk of causing damage to the threaded inserts inside the vehicle.
On the short threaded end of the load reaction stud (item #11), install a black 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #10) backwards to the bottom of the thread. Then install a black 3/8" flat washer (item #9) and rubber cushion washer (item #8) tight up against the serrated flange nut. The end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". On the long threaded end of the stud, install a black 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #10) backwards to near the bottom of the threads.
Insert the stud from the inboard side of the bracket through the lowest hole in the bent flange that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a black flange nut (item #10) on the outboard end of the stud (finger-tight only at this stage).
Install the front mounting brackets (items #1 and #2) to the front cab mount and leave these fasteners finger-tight. Install the center mounting brackets (items #3 and #4) to the center cab mount and leave these fasteners finger-tight. Do not fully tighten until all brackets are positioned.
Install the rear inboard mounting bracket (item #7) and washer (item #13) to the rear cab mount (finger-tight). Then attach the rear outboard cab mounting bracket (items #5 and #6) to the rear inboard bracket (item #7) using 3/8" black zinc-plated bolts (item #12), washers (item #9), and serrated flange nuts (item #10). The rear outboard bracket must be mounted to the back side of the rear inboard bracket (towards the rear of the vehicle). Use the bottom single hole and bottom double holes in the rear inboard bracket. Put the bolts through the front side so the flange nuts are on the back side for frame clearance. Torque these bolts to 19 lb. ft.
Use the bottom single hole and top double holes in the rear inboard bracket. Put the bolts through the front side so the flange nuts are on the back side for frame clearance. Torque these bolts to 19 lb. ft.
The 3/8" black zinc-plated bolts connecting the rear outboard and rear inboard mounting brackets must be torqued to 19 lb. ft. This applies to both Extended Cab and Crew Cab models.
Leave all body mount bolts finger-tight during initial installation while positioning the front, center, and rear mounting brackets. After all brackets are positioned, tighten the body mount bolts to the manufacturer's specifications for your vehicle.
After the mounting brackets are installed, attach the step assembly according to the installation instructions included with your step assembly. Then tighten the body mount bolts to the manufacturer's specifications for your vehicle.
The Model 401113 step brackets fit 1999 GM Silverado and Sierra Extended and Crew Cab pickups. For 1500 model pickups, bracket item #14 must also be attached to brackets items #1 and #2.
