(5) Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (part 102549) with a 5/16" flat washer (part 100034) through the slots on the upper mounting flange; leave finger tight. (6) Repeat for middle and rear brackets. (7) For the passenger side, use the mirror image configuration with part 553093 for the front bracket and part 553092 for the middle and rear brackets.
For trucks without threaded inserts: (1) Install the T-bolt weldment (part 553012) into the large obround hole in the rocker panel's vertical wall, inserting the nut end first. Be careful not to drop the T-bolt inside the rocker panel. (2) Attach the flat plastic bolt retainer (part 101572) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling. (3) Place the driver's side front bracket (part 553092) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. (6) Place a flat washer (part 100034) and M8 flange nut (part 105859) on the T-bolt's threaded stud; leave finger tight. (7) Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. (8) Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (part 102549) with a 5/16" flat washer (part 100034); leave finger tight. (9) Repeat for middle and rear brackets. (10) For the passenger side, use the mirror image configuration.
Loosen the bolt that fastens the leaf spring to the vehicle. Slide the upper mounting bracket (part 552147) between the bolt head and the frame bracket.
