LUVERNE MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards give you the best of both worlds with a ready-to-work construction and the stylish of popular nerf bars. They feature high-traction rubber treads, a sleek finish and a non-corrosive build -- all to give you dependable footing whether you're headed for work or play. MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards are uniquely designed with extra length on the rear of the boards, reaching all the way to the back wheels. This provides a convenient and secure step for reaching into the truck bed and accessing the crossover truck tool box, headache rack or 5th wheel hitch. The entire length of the running boards is covered with a non-skid rubber tread for enhanced safety, even in wet, rainy conditions. Unlike plastic treads, rubber offers better grip for your boots or shoes. The base of MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards is an extruded aluminum alloy, providing excellent strength, while remaining lightweight and completely rust-free. To give these truck side steps a touch of style, they are fitted with a polished stainless steel trim that contours around the boards and gives them a look similar to popular nerf bars. The trim piece is polished to a mirror-like shine and easily withstands rain, snow, dirt and more. To make installation fast, easy and secure, LUVERNE MegaStep wheel-to-wheel steps are made vehicle-specific. Each set has a specific board length and vehicle-specific brackets, providing a custom fit for each unique truck. The brackets install using pre-existing mounting points to eliminate difficult modifications, and the running boards can be positioned inward, outward, forward or backward to suit personal preferences. This particular set of MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards is designed for specific years of the Ford F250 Super Duty and F350 Super Duty (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE MegaStep 6-1/2" wheel-to-wheel running boards are the ultimate combination of style and functionality, featuring 5" wide rubber treads that extend the full length of the side steps for dependable, non-skid traction wherever the road takes you.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The 571729 W2W MEGA STEP brackets fit 2017 and newer Ford Super Duty pickups with rocker panel mounts. If you are installing on a Regular Cab or Super Cab pickup, there will be two unused brackets in the kit, as the system is designed for Crew Cab applications.
The kit includes: 6 mounting brackets (part 552643), 12 nylon isolator washers 0.36" × 1.5" × 0.032" (part 108442), 12 M8-1.25 flange nuts (part 105859), 4 5/16-18 flange nuts (part 106996), 4 5/16-18 × 1" bolts (part 106997), 4 5/16" flat washers (part 106998), 1 rear inboard left bracket (part 553104), 1 rear inboard right bracket (part 553105), and 2 rear outboard brackets (part 551721). The step board assembly is sold separately.
No. The 571729 is a no-drill application. It uses factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel for mounting, so no drilling is required.
On the left side, install two 1.5" isolator washers (part 108442), the step mounting bracket (part 552643), and two M8-1.25 flange nuts (part 105859) on the factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel. Repeat for the remaining brackets. Check that all brackets are level, then tighten all flange nuts. Repeat the entire process for the right side of the vehicle.
Loosen the nut and bolt on the spring shackle just enough to slip the rear inboard bracket (part 553104 for left side, part 553105 for right side) behind the nut. On the passenger side, you will need to loosen the nut and slide the bolt outward to install the bracket. Do not remove the bolt completely as this could result in injury. Adjust the bracket so it is vertical and tighten to 80 LB-FT.
Using two 5/16-18 × 1" bolts (part 106997), two 5/16" flat washers (part 106998), and two 5/16-18 flange nuts (part 106996), install the outboard bracket (part 551721) as shown in the manual. Leave this bracket loose at this time. After attaching the step board to the mounting brackets, adjust the rear outboard bracket for your step assembly and tighten the bolts securing the outboard bracket to the inboard bracket.
Leave the rear outboard bracket loose during initial installation. After you attach the step board to the mounting brackets (following the instructions included with your step board assembly), adjust the rear outboard bracket for your step assembly and then tighten the bolts securing the outboard bracket to the inboard bracket.
The rear inboard bracket should be tightened to 80 LB-FT.
Yes. The manual explicitly states to read the instructions completely and check that all required parts are on hand before starting the installation.
The 1.5" isolator washers (part 108442) are installed on the factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel as part of the rocker panel mounting assembly. They are placed between the mounting bracket and the rocker panel.
Two 1.5" isolator washers (part 108442) are used per bracket on the rocker panel mounting.
The kit includes 6 mounting brackets (part 552643) for the rocker panel, 1 rear inboard left bracket (part 553104), 1 rear inboard right bracket (part 553105), and 2 rear outboard brackets (part 551721). The rocker panel brackets mount on the factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel. The rear inboard brackets mount to the spring shackle. The rear outboard brackets mount to the inboard brackets.
Before tightening all flange nuts, check that all brackets are level.
Do not remove the spring shackle bolt completely as this could result in injury. Only loosen it enough to slip the rear inboard bracket behind the nut.
Yes, if it is a 2017 or newer Ford Super Duty pickup. The brackets mount to the rocker panel and require no drilling. Regular Cab and Super Cab models will have two unused brackets.
No, this is a no-drill application. It uses factory-provided studs on the rocker panel.
The kit includes 6 rocker panel mounting brackets, 12 isolator washers, 12 M8-1.25 flange nuts, 4 5/16-18 flange nuts, 4 5/16-18 × 1" bolts, 4 5/16" flat washers, 2 rear inboard brackets, and 2 rear outboard brackets. The step board is sold separately.
Tighten the rear inboard bracket to 80 LB-FT.
No. Only loosen it enough to slip the rear inboard bracket behind the nut. Removing it completely could result in injury.
