LUVERNE MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards give you the best of both worlds with a ready-to-work construction and the stylish of popular nerf bars. They feature high-traction rubber treads, a sleek finish and a non-corrosive build -- all to give you dependable footing whether you're headed for work or play. MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards are uniquely designed with extra length on the rear of the boards, reaching all the way to the back wheels. This provides a convenient and secure step for reaching into the truck bed and accessing the crossover truck tool box, headache rack or 5th wheel hitch. The entire length of the running boards is covered with a non-skid rubber tread for enhanced safety, even in wet, rainy conditions. Unlike plastic treads, rubber offers better grip for your boots or shoes. The base of MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards is an extruded aluminum alloy, providing excellent strength, while remaining lightweight and completely rust-free. To give these truck side steps a touch of style, they are fitted with a polished stainless steel trim that contours around the boards and gives them a look similar to popular nerf bars. The trim piece is polished to a mirror-like shine and easily withstands rain, snow, dirt and more. To make installation fast, easy and secure, LUVERNE MegaStep wheel-to-wheel steps are made vehicle-specific. Each set has a specific board length and vehicle-specific brackets, providing a custom fit for each unique truck. The brackets install using pre-existing mounting points to eliminate difficult modifications, and the running boards can be positioned inward, outward, forward or backward to suit personal preferences. This particular set of MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards is designed for specific years of the Ford F250 Super Duty and F350 Super Duty (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE MegaStep 6-1/2" wheel-to-wheel running boards are the ultimate combination of style and functionality, featuring 5" wide rubber treads that extend the full length of the side steps for dependable, non-skid traction wherever the road takes you.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes, the W2W MEGA STEPS BRACKETS model 570829 fit 2008 and newer Ford Super Duty Super Cab pickups and 2008 and newer Ford Super Duty Crew Cab pickups. The brackets use existing mounting hole patterns on the pinch weld and interior wall of the rocker panel, so no drilling is required.
No. The Mega Step board assembly is sold separately. The brackets alone do not include the step board; you must purchase it as a separate item.
The kit includes: 8 multi-thread U-nuts (5/16"), 2 front mounting brackets, 6 standard mounting brackets, 10 square head screws (5/16"), 32 serrated flange nuts (5/16"), 12 hex head cap screws (5/16" × 1.00", zinc plated), 12 flat washers (5/16", zinc plated), 8 hex head cap screws (5/16" × 1.00", stainless black plated), 8 flat washers (5/16", stainless black plated), 2 upper rear mounting brackets, 2 lower rear mounting brackets, 2 hex head cap screws (7/16"-14 × 1-1/2"), 2 serrated flange nuts (7/16"), and 2 flat washers (7/16").
No. The installation uses existing mounting hole patterns located on the pinch weld and interior wall of the rocker panel. No drilling is required.
Install 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts in the top rear hole of the first, second, and third mounting patterns, and in the front top hole of the fifth (rear) pattern. Insert the threaded half of the U-nut through the large access holes and slide it toward the round hole until it seats. The threads must face the inside of the rocker panel.
The front mounting bracket (item #2) has a 3/16" offset at the top. The rear mounting brackets consist of an upper bracket (item #11) that attaches against the top of the vehicle spring hanger, and a lower bracket (item #12) that installs with vertical surfaces meeting.
Position the brackets so the top hole lines up with the multi-thread U-nut and the bottom hole lines up with the hole in the pinch weld. Attach the top with a 5/16" × 1.00" zinc plated hex head cap screw and 5/16" zinc plated flat washer. Attach the bottom to the pinch weld with a 5/16" × 1.00" black plated hex head cap screw, 5/16" black plated flat washer, and 5/16" serrated flange nut. Level the brackets and tighten all fasteners to 19 lb-ft.
Insert five 5/16" square head screws in the center slot on the underside of the step. The front four sets attach to the cab mounting brackets; the fifth screw attaches to the rear mounting bracket. Position the step so the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the rear of the step is approximately even with the front metallic flange of the rear wheel well. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Attach the upper rear mounting bracket (item #11) against the top of the vehicle spring hanger so the flat surfaces meet. Install a 7/16"-14 × 1-1/2" hex head cap screw down through the top of the bracket and the bracket, then attach a 7/16"-14 serrated flange nut and washer. Install the lower mounting bracket (item #12) so the vertical surfaces meet, using a 5/16"-18 × 1.00" hex head cap screw, washer, and serrated flange nut. Tighten 5/16" fasteners to 19 lb-ft and 7/16" fasteners to 40 lb-ft.
All 5/16" fasteners must be tightened to 19 lb-ft. This applies to the cab mounting brackets, the step attachment screws, and the lower rear mounting bracket fasteners.
All 7/16" fasteners must be tightened to 40 lb-ft. This applies to the upper rear mounting bracket fasteners.
Yes. The step can be positioned in and out as desired before the fasteners are fully tightened. Position the step so the rear is approximately even with the front metallic flange of the rear wheel well, then install and tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts to 19 lb-ft.
Yes. After positioning the brackets so the top hole lines up with the U-nut and the bottom hole lines up with the pinch weld hole, level the brackets before tightening the fasteners to 19 lb-ft.
The model 570829 fits 2008 and newer Ford Super Duty Super Cab and Crew Cab pickups. It uses existing mounting holes on the rocker panel, so no drilling is required.
No, the Mega Step board assembly is sold separately. The kit includes only the mounting brackets and fasteners.
Tighten all 5/16" fasteners to 19 lb-ft and all 7/16" fasteners to 40 lb-ft.
Five 5/16" square head screws are used: four attach to the cab mounting brackets and one attaches to the rear mounting bracket.
The rear of the step should be positioned approximately even with the front metallic flange of the rear wheel well.
