LUVERNE MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards give you the best of both worlds with a ready-to-work construction and the stylish of popular nerf bars. They feature high-traction rubber treads, a sleek finish and a non-corrosive build -- all to give you dependable footing whether you're headed for work or play. MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards are uniquely designed with extra length on the rear of the boards, reaching all the way to the back wheels. This provides a convenient and secure step for reaching into the truck bed and accessing the crossover truck tool box, headache rack or 5th wheel hitch. The entire length of the running boards is covered with a non-skid rubber tread for enhanced safety, even in wet, rainy conditions. Unlike plastic treads, rubber offers better grip for your boots or shoes. The base of MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards is an extruded aluminum alloy, providing excellent strength, while remaining lightweight and completely rust-free. To give these truck side steps a touch of style, they are fitted with a polished stainless steel trim that contours around the boards and gives them a look similar to popular nerf bars. The trim piece is polished to a mirror-like shine and easily withstands rain, snow, dirt and more. To make installation fast, easy and secure, LUVERNE MegaStep wheel-to-wheel steps are made vehicle-specific. Each set has a specific board length and vehicle-specific brackets, providing a custom fit for each unique truck. The brackets install using pre-existing mounting points to eliminate difficult modifications, and the running boards can be positioned inward, outward, forward or backward to suit personal preferences. This particular set of MegaStep wheel-to-wheel running boards is designed for specific years of the Ford F150 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE MegaStep 6-1/2" wheel-to-wheel running boards are the ultimate combination of style and functionality, featuring 5" wide rubber treads that extend the full length of the side steps for dependable, non-skid traction wherever the road takes you.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The 571529 W2W MEGA STEP is designed for 2015+ Ford F150 pickups with rocker panel mounting. If you are installing on a regular cab or super cab, there will be two unused brackets in the kit, meaning the product is designed primarily for crew cab models but can be installed on shorter cab versions with extra hardware left over.
The kit includes: 1 step assembly, 6 mounting brackets (part 552643), 12 nylon isolator washers (108442), 12 M8-1.25 flange nuts (105859), 5 5/16-18 flange nuts (106996), 5 5/16-18 x 1" bolts (106997), 5 5/16" flat washers (106998), 1 left rear inboard bracket (552752), 1 right rear inboard bracket (552753), 2 rear outboard brackets (551721), and 1 left rear clamp bracket (552754).
No. This is a no-drill application. Installation uses factory-provided studs on the rocker panel and the existing leaf spring shackle bolt.
Install two 1.5" isolator washers, the step mounting bracket (item #2), and two M8-1.25 flange nuts on the factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel. The manual references Figure 1 for the exact positioning. Repeat this process on both the left and right sides of the vehicle.
Yes. On the left (driver's) side only, remove the cable guide bracket from the leaf spring shackle. This bracket will no longer be needed and may be discarded. This step is not required on the right side.
1. Remove the nut on the spring shackle bolt and install the rear inboard bracket (item #8), ensuring it is vertical, and tighten to 80 lb-ft. 2. Install the outboard bracket (item #10) using two 5/16-18 x 1" bolts, two 5/16" flat washers, and two 5/16-18 flange nuts, but leave it loose. 3. Attach the step board to the mounting brackets per the step board instruction sheet. 4. Adjust the rear outboard bracket for your step assembly and tighten the bolts. 5. Install the rear clamp bracket (item #11) over the cables using one 5/16-18 x 1" bolt, one 5/16" flat washer, and one 5/16-18 flange nut.
The rear inboard bracket (item #8) must be tightened to 80 lb-ft on the spring shackle bolt.
The outboard bracket is left loose to allow for adjustment after the step board is attached. Once the step board is mounted and positioned correctly, the outboard bracket is adjusted to fit your specific step assembly and then tightened.
When installing the rear inboard bracket (item #8) on the spring shackle bolt, the bracket must be oriented vertically (perpendicular to the ground) rather than at an angle. This ensures proper alignment and support for the step assembly.
Yes. After installing all brackets on both sides, check that all brackets are level before tightening all flange nuts.
Two 1.5" nylon isolator washers (item #3, part 108442) are installed on each side of the vehicle between the factory studs and the step mounting bracket. They help isolate and protect the connection.
The installation process is similar for both sides, but with one key difference: the cable guide bracket removal (Step 5) is only necessary on the left (driver's) side. After completing the left side, repeat Steps 2–9 for the right side.
The rear outboard bracket (item #10) is installed using two 5/16-18 x 1" bolts (item #6), two 5/16" flat washers (item #7), and two 5/16-18 flange nuts (item #5).
The rear clamp bracket (item #11) is installed using one 5/16-18 x 1" bolt (item #6), one 5/16" flat washer (item #7), and one 5/16-18 flange nut (item #5). It is mounted over the cables from the removed cable guide bracket onto the rear inboard bracket.
Each rocker panel mounting bracket (item #2) is secured using two 1.5" isolator washers (item #3) and two M8-1.25 flange nuts (item #4) on the factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel.
The cable guide bracket is removed from the leaf spring shackle on the left (driver's) side to make room for the rear inboard bracket installation. The removed bracket is no longer needed once the step assembly is installed.
Yes. The step board is attached to the mounting brackets according to a separate instruction sheet included with your step board assembly. This is done after the rear brackets are installed but before final adjustment and tightening of the outboard bracket.
Yes. The manual explicitly instructs you to read all instructions completely and verify that all required parts are on hand before starting the installation.
Six mounting brackets (part 552643) are included. If installing on a regular cab or super cab, two will be unused.
Install rocker panel brackets first (left and right), then remove the left cable guide bracket, install rear inboard brackets, install rear outboard brackets (loose), attach the step board, adjust and tighten the outboard brackets, then install the rear clamp bracket.
