The manual requires a drill with a 1/8" drill bit for attaching step pads. A wrench or socket set is needed to tighten the serrated flange nuts to 19 lb-ft and the end cap nuts to 5 lb-ft. The specific tools required for bracket installation are included in the separate bracket package instructions.

1. Install step pads on the step plates using 1/8" holes and TEK screws. 2. Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 3. Install end caps and tighten nuts to 5 lb-ft. 4. Position the assembled step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws sit in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. 5. Install serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide table on page 2 to determine the correct position for your vehicle model. Pad A and Pad B measurements indicate the distance from the front of the step. Note: Due to the shortness of some boxes, mount the box step pad first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. The pad locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Yes. When installing the step pads on the steps, you must drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. The pads are then attached with five #8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws provided in the kit. This drilling is required for each step pad.
