LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps are available in nine models: 583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, and 584125. The bracket package model 571438W2W is specifically designed for 2014+ RAM 2500 Pickups.
The O-MEGA II steps are a universal application, but fitment depends on the specific bracket package used. The manual confirms compatibility with Silverado/Sierra (Double, Extended, and Crew Cab), Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana Van, RAM (Quad, Crew, and Mega Cab), Ford F150 (Super Cab and Super Crew Cab), and Ford Super Duty (Super Cab and Crew Cab). For 2014+ RAM 2500 Pickups, use bracket model 571438W2W. Consult the specific bracket package instructions for your vehicle.
RAM trucks with threaded inserts use M8 X 25mm screws (Item #11) inserted directly into the slots on the upper mounting flange. Trucks without threaded inserts require installation of a T-bolt weldment (Item #14) into the large obround hole in the rocker panel vertical wall, with the threaded stud protruding outward. A plastic bolt retainer (Item #15) must be attached to prevent the T-bolt from falling inside the rocker panel. The 2009-2012 RAM trucks do not have obround holes in the pinch weld and require drilling 2× 5/16" holes for each bracket.
The O-MEGA II steps include: 2 extrusions (aluminum, silver or black, in various lengths), 6 step pads, 4 plastic end caps, 28 square head screws (5/16-18 X 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 tek screws (#8-18 X 1/2"). For bracket assembly on RAM 2500 Pickups (571438W2W), additional parts include mounting brackets, carriage bolts, washers, flange nuts, M8 screws, T-bolt weldments, and plastic bolt retainers. Always verify all parts are present before starting installation.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed on the service parts list are on hand before starting. For the O-MEGA II steps, you will also need to follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle. Check the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet #2 to identify the correct pad positions for your particular vehicle model.
Before attaching the O-MEGA steps to the brackets, place the step pads (Item #2) on top of the step plates. Use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet #2 to position the pads for your vehicle. Drill 5 holes of 1/8" diameter using the step pad as a guide. Attach each pad with 5 tek screws (Item #6, #8-18 X 1/2"). Note: Due to the shortness of some boxes, mount the box step pad first, approximately ½" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. Repeat for all step pads.
1. Install the required number of square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 2. Install the end caps (Item #3) as shown in Figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 lb ft. 3. Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (Item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. 4. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws (Item #4) and tighten to 19 lb ft.
1. Place the driver's side front bracket (Item #1) up to the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. Align the two rectangular holes of the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. 2. Insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts (Item #8) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld. Place a 1/4" flat washer (Item #9) and 1/4-20 flange nut (Item #10) on the bolts; leave finger-tight. 3. Insert an M8 X 25mm screw (Item #11) with a 5/16" flat washer (Item #12) through the slots on the upper mounting flange; leave finger-tight. 4. Repeat for the middle (Item #2) and rear (Item #3) brackets. 5. For the passenger side, use Item #2 for front, Item #1 for middle, and Item #4 for rear.
1. Install the T-bolt weldment (Item #14) into the large obround hole in the rocker panel vertical wall, inserting the nut end first and leaving the threaded stud protruding. Attach the plastic bolt retainer (Item #15) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling inside the rocker panel. 2. Place the driver's side front bracket (Item #1) up to the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. Align the two rectangular holes with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. 3. Insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts (Item #8) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld. Place a 1/4" flat washer (Item #9) and 1/4-20 flange nut (Item #10) on the bolts; leave finger-tight. 4. Place a flat washer (Item #12) and M8 flange nut (Item #13) on the T-bolt threaded stud; leave finger-tight. 5. Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. Insert an M8 X 25mm screw (Item #11) with a 5/16" flat washer (Item #12); leave finger-tight. 6. Repeat for middle and rear brackets. For passenger side, use Item #2 for front, Item #1 for middle, and Item #4 for rear.
1. Attach the upper mounting bracket (Item #5 or #6) to the side of the suspension link housing by loosening the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. Slide the upper mounting bracket between the bolt head and the frame bracket. Tighten down the bolt, ensuring the upper mounting bracket is level. 2. Fasten the lower bracket (Item #7) to the upper bracket using a 3/8" bolt, washer, and nut (Items #16, #17, #18) through the two lower holes in the upper bracket. Ensure it sits level to the front brackets.
Yes. When installing the step pads (Item #2) on the step plates, you must drill 5 holes of 1/8" diameter using the step pad as a guide. The pads are then attached with 5 tek screws (Item #6, #8-18 X 1/2"). This drilling is required for all step pads.
Yes. 2009-2012 RAM trucks do not have obround holes in the pinch weld and require drilling. You must drill 2× 5/16" holes for each bracket. To locate the drilling points, follow Step 2.5 (install the T-bolt weldment), then skip to Steps 2.7 and 2.8. With the bracket in place, mark the pinchweld for drilling.
The end cap nuts (Item #3) must be tightened to 5 lb ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws (Item #4) must be tightened to 19 lb ft.
Step pads are attached using 5 tek screws per pad (Item #6, specification #8-18 X 1/2", stainless steel, bronze plated). The screws are inserted through 1/8" diameter holes drilled using the step pad as a guide.
Two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts (Item #8) are used per bracket. Each bolt is secured with a 1/4" flat washer (Item #9) and a 1/4-20 flange nut (Item #10). These fasteners must be left finger-tight during initial assembly.
An M8 X 25mm screw (Item #11) with a 5/16" flat washer (Item #12) is inserted through the slots on the upper mounting flange. This fastener must be left finger-tight during initial assembly.
The T-bolt weldment (Item #14) is secured with a flat washer (Item #12) and an M8 flange nut (Item #13) on the threaded stud. An M8 X 25mm screw (Item #11) with a 5/16" flat washer (Item #12) is then inserted through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. All fasteners must be left finger-tight during initial assembly.
A 3/8" bolt (Item #16), flat washer (Item #17), and serrated flange nut (Item #18) are used. Two fasteners are installed through the two lower holes in the upper bracket (Item #5 or #6) to attach the lower bracket (Item #7).
Step pad position varies by vehicle model. Pad A (the box step pad) should be mounted approximately ½" from the end cap. Pad B (the middle step pad) position depends on your vehicle: Silverado/Sierra Double Cab: Pad A at 14-3/4", Pad B at 46-3/4"; Extended Cab: Pad A at 14-3/4", Pad B at 41-3/4"; Crew Cab: Pad A at 14-3/4", Pad B at 54-1/4"; RAM Quad Cab: Pad A at 10-1/2", Pad B at 46"; RAM Crew Cab: Pad A at 10-1/2", Pad B at 48"; RAM Mega Cab: Pad A at 10-1/2", Pad B at 52-1/16"; Ford F150 Super Cab: Pad A at 18-1/4", Pad B at 46-1/4"; Ford F150 Super Crew Cab: Pad A at 18-1/4", Pad B at 56-1/2"; Ford Super Duty Super Cab: Pad A at 6-7/8", Pad B at 39-1/16"; Ford Super Duty Crew Cab: Pad A at 6-7/8", Pad B at 52-7/8"; Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana Van: Pad A at 7-1/2", Pad B N/A; Ford: Pad A at 7-1/2", Pad B N/A. Note: These locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
All fasteners should be left finger-tight during the initial assembly and positioning of the step plates and brackets. Tighten all fasteners only after the step plates have been installed and adjusted, and the brackets and boards are positioned correctly. This allows for proper alignment and leveling before final tightening.
