LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 2500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Step includes: two extrusion pieces (available in silver or black, in lengths 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", or 122.0"), six aluminum step pads, four plastic end caps, 28 square head screws (5/16-18 X 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 tek screws (#8-18 X 1/2"). The specific bracket package and fasteners for vehicle attachment are included separately with your bracket kit.
The 571438W2W bracket package includes: 12 carriage bolts (1/4-20 X 1"), 12 flat washers (1/4"), 12 flange nuts (1/4-20), 12 hex head screws (M8 X 25mm), 12 flat washers (5/16"), 6 hex flange nuts (M8 X 1.25), 6 T-bolt weldments, 6 plastic bolt retainers (8mm), 4 hex head screws (3/8-16 X 1.0"), 4 flat washers (3/8"), and 4 serrated flange nuts (3/8-16).
The manual requires a drill with a 1/8" bit for attaching step pads. For 2009–2012 RAM 2500 trucks, a 5/16" drill bit is also needed to create holes in the pinchweld. Standard wrenches or sockets are needed to tighten fasteners. The manual does not specify additional tools required for bracket installation or final assembly.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the service parts list are on hand before starting. Ensure you have the correct bracket package for your specific vehicle. For RAM 2500 trucks, determine whether your vehicle has threaded inserts in the rocker panel or will require T-bolt installation, as the mounting procedure differs.
1. Attach step pads to step plates using 1/8" holes and tek screws. 2. Install square head bolts into slots in the bottom of step plates. 3. Install end caps and tighten nuts to 5 lb-ft. 4. Position the step on mounting brackets so square head screws are in bracket slots and step is centered front to rear. 5. Install serrated flange nuts on square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft. Follow the specific bracket package instructions for mounting brackets to your vehicle.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 to position pads for your vehicle. For short boxes, mount the box step pad first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. Using the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" holes through the step pad and into the step plate. Attach each pad with five 8-18 X 1/2" tek screws (item #6). Repeat for all step pads.
Install the end caps (item #3) as shown in figure 1 on the manual. Tighten the nuts to 5 lb-ft.
Position the step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
1. Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange outside the pinchweld. Align the two rectangular holes in the lower flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. 2. Insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts (item #8) through the lower flange and pinchweld, then add a 1/4" flat washer (item #9) and 1/4-20 flange nut (item #10); leave finger-tight. 3. Insert an M8 X 25mm screw (item #11) with a 5/16" flat washer (item #12) through the slots on the upper mounting flange; leave finger-tight. 4. Repeat for middle (item #2) and rear (item #3) brackets. 5. For the passenger side, use item #2 for front, item #1 for middle, and item #4 for rear (mirror image of driver's side).
1. Install the T-bolt weldment (item #14) into the large obround hole on the vertical wall of the rocker panel, inserting the nut end first and leaving the threaded stud sticking out. Attach the plastic bolt retainer (item #15) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel. 2. Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange outside the pinchweld. Align the two rectangular holes in the lower flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. 3. Insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts (item #8) through the lower flange and pinchweld, then add a 1/4" flat washer (item #9) and 1/4-20 flange nut (item #10); leave finger-tight. 4. Place a flat washer (item #12) and M8 flange nut (item #13) on the threaded stud of the T-bolt; leave finger-tight. 5. Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. Insert an M8 X 25mm screw (item #11) with a 5/16" flat washer (item #12); leave finger-tight. 6. Repeat for middle (item #2) and rear (item #3) brackets. 7. For the passenger side, use item #2 for front, item #1 for middle, and item #4 for rear (mirror image of driver's side).
2009–2012 RAM 2500 trucks do not have obround holes in the pinchweld and require drilling. Follow step 2.5 to install the T-bolt weldment (item #14) into the large obround hole on the rocker panel vertical wall, with the plastic bolt retainer (item #15) attached to the threaded stud. With the bracket in place, mark the pinchweld for drilling. Drill two 5/16" holes for each bracket at the marked locations. Then proceed with steps 2.7 and 2.8 to complete the upper mounting flange installation using the M8 X 25mm screw (item #11) and 5/16" flat washer (item #12).
1. Loosen the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. Slide the upper mounting bracket (item #5 or #6, depending on side) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. Tighten the bolt, ensuring the upper bracket is level. 2. Fasten the lower bracket (item #7) to the upper bracket using a 3/8" bolt, washer, and nut (items #16, #17, #18) through the two lower holes in the upper bracket. Ensure the lower bracket sits level to the front brackets.
Install the step plates and adjust brackets and boards before tightening all fasteners. This allows you to ensure proper alignment and fit before final tightening.
Yes, drilling is required. You must drill five 1/8" holes through each step pad into the step plate using the step pad as a guide. Additionally, if you have a 2009–2012 RAM 2500, you must drill two 5/16" holes in the pinchweld for each bracket to mount the brackets to the vehicle.
