LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 2500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" oval steps are a universal application, but they require a specific bracket package for your vehicle. The manual does not identify which bracket package to use for each vehicle. You must follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle. The step pad locations vary significantly by vehicle model and cab style, so confirm your vehicle type before installation.
The W2W MEGA/GRIP STEP BRACKETS (models 571439/401439) are designed for 2014+ RAM 2500 Pickups and are compatible with Regular Cab, Quad Cab, Crew Cab, and Mega Cab configurations. However, the orientation of the rear bracket differs between cab types: Regular Cab, Quad Cab, and Crew Cab pickups use one configuration (Figure 1), while Mega Cab pickups use a different configuration (Figure 2). For Regular Cab pickups, only the front and rear cab mounting brackets are used; the center mounting bracket and fasteners may be discarded.
Step pad locations vary by vehicle model and cab style. The manual provides specific measurements for Pad A and Pad B positions for Silverado/Sierra (Double, Extended, and Crew Cab), Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans, RAM Quad/Crew/Mega Cab, and Ford F150 and Super Duty models. For example, Silverado Double Cab uses Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 46-3/4". However, these are suggestions only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. Refer to the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 for your specific vehicle.
The O-MEGA II 6" oval steps include: two extrusion-aluminum step plates (available in silver or black, in five different lengths: 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", or 122.0"), six aluminum step pads (part 107957), four plastic end caps (part 107956), 28 square head screws 5/16-18 X 1" (part 106880), 28 serrated flange nuts 5/16-18 (part 102680), and 30 tek screws #8-18 X 1/2" (part 107958). The specific extrusion length depends on your vehicle model.
The W2W MEGA/GRIP STEP BRACKETS include mounting brackets (front, center, rear inboard, and rear outboard for each side), load reaction studs (4" for front, 3" for rear), serrated flange nuts (3/8-16), flat washers (3/8" and ½"), rubber cushion washers, hex head screws (M12 in two lengths), and hardware for suspension link attachment. The exact quantity and part numbers are listed in the Service Parts List. For Regular Cab pickups, the center mounting bracket and associated fasteners may be discarded.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts on the right side of the vehicle. These bolts will not be reused. They are replaced with M12 hex head bolts (110mm for front and center mounts, 116mm for rear mount) and 2.0" washers. For Regular Cab pickups, you only remove and replace the front and rear body mount bolts; the center mounting bracket is not used.
First, place the step pads (item 2) on top of the step plates. Use the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 to position the pads for your vehicle. Due to the shortness of some boxes, mount the box step pad first, approximately ½" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. Drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide, then attach each pad with five 8-18 X 1/2" tek screws (item 6). Repeat for all step pads.
Install the end caps (item 3) as shown in Figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 lb ft.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item 4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item 5) on the square head screws (item 4) and tighten to 19 lb ft.
On the short threaded end of the load reaction stud, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (item 17) backwards to the bottom of the thread. Then install a 3/8" flat washer (item 16) and rubber cushion washer (item 15) tight against the serrated flange nut. The end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". On the long threaded end of the stud, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (item 17) backwards to near the bottom of the threads. Use a 4" stud (item 19) for the front bracket and a 3" stud (item 18) for the rear brackets.
Insert the stud from the inboard (frame side) through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a flange nut (item 17) on the outboard end of the stud (finger tight only). Later, after positioning the load reaction stud assembly so the rubber cushion is snug against the side of the frame, tighten the 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the bracket to 19 lb ft.
For the front mounting bracket (item 1 or 2): Use an M12 – 110mm bolt (item 12) and a 2.0" washer (item 14), and leave fasteners finger tight. For the center mounting bracket (item 3 or 4): Use an M12 – 110mm bolt (item 12) and a 2.0" washer (item 14), and leave fasteners finger tight. For the rear mounting bracket (item 5 or 6): Use an M12 – 116mm bolt (item 13) and a ½" flat washer (item 21), and leave fasteners finger tight. Note: The orientation of the rear bracket differs between Regular/Quad/Crew Cab pickups (Figure 1) and Mega Cab pickups (Figure 2). For Regular Cab pickups, only the front and rear brackets are used.
Attach the rear outboard mounting bracket (item 7 or 8) to the rear inboard mounting bracket (item 5 or 6) in the upper mounting location using three 3/8-16 X 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts (items 20, 16, and 17).
Loosen the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. Slide the upper mounting bracket (item 9) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. Tighten down the bolt, making sure the upper mounting bracket is level. Then fasten the lower bracket (item 11) to the upper bracket (item 9) using a 3/8" bolt, washer, and nut (items 20, 16, and 17) in the two lower holes of the upper bracket, ensuring it sits level to the front brackets.
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes in the step plate using the step pad as a guide. The step pads are then attached with five 8-18 X 1/2" tek screws (item 6) provided. This must be done for each step pad before attaching the O-MEGA step to the brackets.
The end cap nuts must be tightened to 5 lb ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws (item 4) that secure the O-MEGA step to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 lb ft.
The 3/8" serrated flange nuts on either side of the load reaction stud assembly must be tightened to 19 lb ft. These nuts should be installed finger tight initially, then tightened to 19 lb ft after positioning the load reaction stud assembly so the rubber cushion is snug against the side of the frame.
The manual lists both MS and GRIP versions of the mounting brackets in the Service Parts List (for example, part 552850 is BRKT-MTG, MS, FRONT, LH and part 552862 is BRKT-MTG, GRIP, FRONT, LH). However, the manual does not explain the functional difference between these two versions or specify which version should be used for a particular application.
The O-MEGA II steps are universal, but require a specific bracket package for your vehicle. Confirm your vehicle model and cab style, then follow the instructions included with your bracket package. Step pad locations vary by vehicle; refer to the Step Pad Location Guide for your model.
Yes, for 2014+ RAM 2500 Pickups in Regular Cab, Quad Cab, Crew Cab, or Mega Cab. The rear bracket orientation differs between cab types; refer to Figure 1 for Regular/Quad/Crew Cab or Figure 2 for Mega Cab. Regular Cab pickups use only front and rear brackets; discard the center bracket.
Yes. Drill five 1/8" holes in each step plate using the step pad as a guide, then attach the pad with five 8-18 X 1/2" tek screws.
Yes. Remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts on the right side; they will not be reused. Replace them with M12 hex head bolts (110mm for front/center, 116mm for rear) and washers. Regular Cab pickups use only front and rear mounts.
O-MEGA II: end cap nuts to 5 lb ft, step mounting bolts to 19 lb ft. W2W MEGA/GRIP: load reaction stud flange nuts to 19 lb ft. All other fasteners are installed finger tight initially unless otherwise specified.
Aluminum step extrusions (silver or black, five lengths available), six step pads, four end caps, 28 square head screws 5/16-18 X 1", 28 serrated flange nuts 5/16-18, and 30 tek screws #8-18 X 1/2".
Read the complete instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting. For W2W MEGA/GRIP on RAM 2500, note that Regular Cab pickups use only front and rear brackets; the center bracket may be discarded.
