LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Step is a running board assembly available in models 583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, and 584125. It is designed as a universal application that mounts to your vehicle using a specific bracket package. The step pad positioning varies by vehicle model, including Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Express Van, GMC Savana Van, RAM trucks (Quad Cab, Crew Cab, Mega Cab), and Ford F-150 and Super Duty trucks. You must follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package to ensure proper fitment.
The 571438W2W Mega Bracket is designed specifically for 2014 and newer RAM 2500 Pickups. If your truck is a 2009 to 2012 model, it will not have the obround holes in the pinchweld and will require drilling two 5/16" holes for each bracket. Consult the bracket instructions to confirm fitment for your specific RAM model and year.
The O-MEGA II step includes: two extrusion assemblies (available in silver or black, in lengths 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", or 122.0"), six aluminum step pads, four plastic end caps, 28 square head screws (5/16-18 X 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 Phillips pan head TEK screws (#8-18 X 1/2"). Verify all parts are present before starting installation.
The 571438W2W Mega Bracket kit includes: two front mounting brackets, two middle mounting brackets, one rear left bracket, one rear right bracket, two upper mounting brackets for the shackle mount, two lower mounting brackets, 12 carriage bolts (1/4-20 X 1"), 12 flat washers (1/4"), 12 flange nuts (1/4-20), 12 hex head screws (M8 X 25mm), 12 flat washers (5/16"), six hex flange nuts (M8), six T-bolt weldments, six plastic bolt retainers, four hex head screws (3/8-16 X 1.0"), four flat washers (3/8"), and four serrated flange nuts (3/8-16). Verify all parts before beginning installation.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting. You will also need to follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle. Do not begin assembly until you have confirmed all parts are present and you understand the bracket-specific installation procedure.
Place the step pads (Item #2) on top of the step plates. Use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet #2 to position the pads for your vehicle model. Drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide, then attach each pad with five #8-18 X 1/2" TEK screws (Item #6). Note: Due to the shortness of some boxes, mount the box step pad first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. Repeat for all step pads.
Step pad locations vary by vehicle model. Pad A (first pad) and Pad B (second pad) distances from a reference point are: Silverado/Sierra Double Cab (14-3/4", 46-3/4"), Extended Cab (14-3/4", 41-3/4"), Crew Cab (14-3/4", 54-1/4"); Chevrolet Express Van & GMC Savana Van (7-1/2", N/A); RAM Quad Cab (10-1/2", 46), Crew Cab (10-1/2", 48), Mega Cab (10-1/2", 52-1/16); Ford F-150 Super Cab (18-1/4", 46-1/4"), Super Crew Cab (18-1/4", 56-1/2"); Ford Super Duty Super Cab (6-7/8", 39-1/16), Crew Cab (6-7/8", 52-7/8"); Ford (7-1/2", N/A). These are suggestions and may be placed at your discretion.
Install the end caps (Item #3) as shown in Figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 lb-ft. The end caps are plastic components measuring 2.95 X 6.70 inches and are mounted at each end of the step assembly.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (Item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws (Item #4) and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Yes. When installing the step pads on the steps, you must drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide, then attach with five #8-18 X 1/2" TEK screws (Item #6). This drilling is required for each step pad.
If your RAM truck is 2014 or newer, it has obround holes in the pinchweld and no drilling is required. However, if your truck is a 2009 to 2012 model, it does not have obround holes in the pinchweld and will require drilling two 5/16" holes for each bracket. To locate the holes, follow Step 2.5 to position the bracket, then mark the pinchweld for drilling before installing the carriage bolts.
1. Place the driver's side front bracket (Item #1) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. Align the two rectangular holes of the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. 2. Insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts (Item #8) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld, add a 1/4" flat washer (Item #9) and 1/4-20 flange nut (Item #10), and leave finger tight. 3. Insert an M8 X 25mm screw (Item #11) with a 5/16" flat washer (Item #12) through the slots on the upper mounting flange and leave finger tight. 4. Repeat for the middle (Item #2) and rear (Item #3) brackets. 5. For the passenger side, use Item #2 for front, Item #1 for middle, and Item #4 for rear.
1. Install the T-bolt weldment (Item #14) into the large obround hole on the vertical wall of the rocker panel, inserting the nut end first and leaving the threaded stud sticking out. Attach the plastic bolt retainer (Item #15) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel. 2. Place the driver's side front bracket (Item #1) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. Insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts (Item #8) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld, add a 1/4" flat washer (Item #9) and 1/4-20 flange nut (Item #10), and leave finger tight. 3. Place a flat washer (Item #12) and M8 flange nut (Item #13) on the T-bolt threaded stud and leave finger tight. 4. Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. Insert an M8 X 25mm screw (Item #11) with a 5/16" flat washer (Item #12) and leave finger tight. 5. Repeat for the middle (Item #2) and rear (Item #3) brackets. 6. For the passenger side, use Item #2 for front, Item #1 for middle, and Item #4 for rear.
1. Attach the upper mounting bracket (Item #5 or #6) to the side of the suspension link housing by loosening the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. Slide the upper mounting bracket between the bolt head and the frame bracket, then tighten the bolt, ensuring the upper mounting bracket is level. 2. Fasten the lower bracket (Item #7) to the upper bracket using a 3/8" bolt, washer, and nut (Items #16, #17, #18) through the two lower holes in the upper bracket, making sure it sits level to the front brackets.
Tighten the end cap (Item #3) nuts to 5 lb-ft.
Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws (Item #4) and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
1. Read all instructions and verify all parts are present. 2. Follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle. 3. Place step pads (Item #2) on top of the step plates and drill five 1/8" holes per pad using the pad as a guide. Attach with five #8-18 X 1/2" TEK screws (Item #6). 4. Install the required number of square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 5. Install the end caps (Item #3) and tighten the nuts to 5 lb-ft. 6. Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws (Item #4) and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Install the step plates and adjust the brackets and boards before tightening all the fasteners. This allows you to ensure proper alignment and positioning before final tightening.
When installing the T-bolt weldment (Item #14) into the large obround hole on the rocker panel, insert the nut end first and be careful not to drop the T-bolt inside the rocker panel. After insertion, attach the flat plastic bolt retainer (Item #15) to the threaded stud of the T-bolt to keep it from falling into the rocker panel.
