LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 2500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" OVAL STEP is a universal step assembly available in models 583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, and 584125. It is designed for universal application across multiple vehicle types, including Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, RAM pickups, and Ford F-150 and Super Duty trucks. The specific fitment depends on the bracket package used with the step assembly.
The W2W MEGA/GRIP STEP BRACKET (models 571439 and 401439) is designed specifically for 2014 and newer RAM 2500 Pickups. It is compatible with Regular Cab, Quad Cab, Crew Cab, and Mega Cab configurations. If you own a different vehicle or an older RAM 2500, this bracket is not compatible.
Yes, the W2W MEGA/GRIP STEP BRACKET fits RAM 2500 Regular Cab pickups. However, for Regular Cab installation only the front and rear cab mounting brackets are used. The center mounting bracket and its fasteners may be discarded and are not needed.
The O-MEGA II 6" OVAL STEP includes: (2) aluminum extrusions in silver or black (part numbers vary by length: 553074–553078 for silver, 553062–553066 for black); (6) aluminum step pads (part 107957); (4) plastic end caps (part 107956); (28) square head screws 5/16-18 X 1" (part 106880); (28) serrated flange nuts 5/16-18 (part 102680); and (30) tek screws #8-18 X 1/2" (part 107958). The specific extrusion length depends on your vehicle model.
The W2W MEGA/GRIP STEP BRACKET kit includes: front, center, and rear mounting brackets (left and right); upper and lower W2W mounting brackets; load reaction studs (3" and 4" lengths); M12 hex head bolts (110mm and 160mm); 2.0" and 1/2" flat washers; rubber cushion washers; 3/8" serrated flange nuts; 3/8" flat washers; and 3/8-16 X 1.0" hex head screws. For Regular Cab installation, the center mounting bracket and fasteners may be discarded.
Yes. The O-MEGA II 6" OVAL STEP requires a separate bracket package specific to your vehicle. You must follow the instructions included with your bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle before attaching the step assembly to the brackets.
Before attaching the step pads to the step plates, use the step pad location guide on Sheet 2 to determine the correct position for your vehicle. The guide provides specific measurements for Pad A and Pad B locations for Silverado/Sierra (Double, Extended, and Crew Cab), Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana vans, RAM Quad/Crew/Mega Cab, and Ford F-150 and Super Duty models. Note: these locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Yes. When installing the step pads on the step plates, you must drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. The step pads are then attached with five 8-18 X 1/2" tek screws (part 107958). This drilling is required for each step pad installed.
The end caps (part 107956) must be tightened to 5 LB FT.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (part 102680) that secure the square head screws (part 106880) to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 LB FT.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (part 106880) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (part 102680) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 LB FT.
The installation sequence is: (1) assemble load reaction studs with hardware; (2) attach stud assemblies to mounting brackets; (3) remove factory body mount bolts and install front, center, and rear mounting brackets (finger tight); (4) attach rear outboard bracket to rear inboard bracket; (5) attach upper and lower W2W mounting brackets to the suspension link housing; (6) attach the step plate per included instructions; (7) position load reaction studs and tighten all fasteners to final torque.
On the short threaded end of the load reaction stud, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (part 17) backwards to the bottom of the thread. Then install a 3/8" flat washer (part 16) and rubber cushion washer (part 15) tight against the serrated flange nut. The end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". On the long threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (part 17) backwards near the bottom of the threads. Use a 4" stud (part 19) for the front bracket and a 3" stud (part 18) for the rear brackets.
Remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts (these will not be reused). For the front mounting bracket, use an M12 – 110mm bolt (part 12) and a 2.0" washer (part 14) and leave finger tight. For the center mounting bracket, use an M12 – 110mm bolt (part 12) and a 2.0" washer (part 14) and leave finger tight. For the rear mounting bracket, use an M12 – 116mm bolt (part 13) and a 1/2" flat washer (part 21) and leave finger tight.
Yes. The orientation of the rear bracket differs between Regular Cab, Quad Cab, and Crew Cab pickups versus Mega Cab pickups. If installing on a Regular Cab, Quad Cab, or Crew Cab, refer to Figure 1. If installing on a Mega Cab, refer to Figure 2.
Attach the rear outboard mounting bracket (part 7 or 8) to the rear inboard mounting bracket (part 5 or 6) in the upper mounting location using three 3/8-16 X 1.0" screws (part 20), 3/8" flat washers (part 16), and 3/8" flange nuts (part 17).
Loosen the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. Slide the upper mounting bracket (part 9) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. Tighten down the bolt, making sure that the upper mounting bracket is level.
Fasten the lower bracket (part 11) to the upper bracket (part 9) using a 3/8" bolt, washer, and nut (parts 16, 17, 20) in the two lower holes of the upper bracket. Make sure it sits level to the front brackets.
The 3/8" flange nuts on either side of the load reaction stud bracket must be tightened to 19 LB FT. Position the load reaction stud assembly so that the rubber cushion is snug against the side of the frame before tightening.
Leave the following fasteners finger tight until final assembly: (1) the M12 – 110mm bolts (part 12) for the front mounting bracket; (2) the M12 – 110mm bolts (part 12) for the center mounting bracket; (3) the M12 – 116mm bolt (part 13) for the rear mounting bracket; and (4) the flange nut on the outboard end of the load reaction stud. These are tightened to final torque in Step 7.
No. For Regular Cab pickups, only the front and rear cab mounting brackets are used. The center mounting bracket (parts 3, 4, 552852, 552853, 552864, 552865) and its fasteners may be discarded.
The manual does not specify required tools. However, based on the installation steps, you will need: a drill with a 1/8" bit (for step pad attachment), a wrench or socket set for 5/16" nuts and bolts, and a torque wrench capable of measuring 5 and 19 LB FT. Consult the bracket package instructions for additional tools needed to mount the brackets to your vehicle.
