LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 2500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Before starting installation, read the instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed on the Service Parts List are on hand. You will also need to obtain the specific bracket package for your vehicle, as the step assembly alone does not include vehicle-specific mounting brackets.
Before starting installation, read the instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed on the Service Parts List are on hand. Identify your cab style (Regular Cab, Quad Cab, Crew Cab, or Mega Cab) as this affects which brackets are used and the orientation of the rear bracket. For Regular Cab pickups, note that the center mounting bracket and its fasteners will not be used.
Step pad positioning varies by vehicle model. The manual provides a positioning guide on Sheet 2 with specific measurements for Pad A and Pad B locations for each vehicle type. For example, Silverado/Sierra Double Cab uses Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 46-3/4". Note that these locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. For some vehicles with short boxes, mount the box step pad first approximately ½" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly.
Yes. When installing the step pads on the step plates, you must drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. The pads are then attached with five 8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws (part 107958) provided in the kit.
No drilling is required for the W2W MEGA/GRIP bracket installation itself. However, you must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts from the vehicle, which are not reused. The brackets are then installed using new M12 hex head bolts and hardware provided in the kit.
The end caps (part 107956) should be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (part 102680) that attach the square head screws (part 106880) to the mounting brackets should be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The 3/8" serrated flange nuts on either side of the load reaction stud assembly should be tightened to 19 lb-ft. This is done after positioning the rubber cushion snug against the side of the frame.
A 4" stud (part 104686, double-ended steel stud 3/8-16 x 4.00") is used for the front bracket load reaction stud assembly.
A 3" stud (part 104697, steel stud 3/8-16 x 3.00") is used for the rear bracket load reaction stud assemblies.
Assembly steps are: (1) On the short threaded end of the stud, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards to the bottom of the thread. (2) Install a 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer tight against the serrated flange nut, with the stud end recessed approximately 3/16" into the rubber washer. (3) On the long threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards near the bottom of the threads. Use a 4" stud for the front bracket and 3" studs for the rear brackets.
Insert the stud from the inboard (frame side) through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a 3/8" serrated flange nut on the outboard end of the stud and tighten finger tight only at this stage. Final tightening to 19 lb-ft occurs after positioning the rubber cushion snug against the frame.
Both the front and center mounting brackets are installed using M12 x 110mm hex head bolts (part 103444) and 2.0" washers (part 105909). Insert the bolt through the washer and bracket into the factory body mount hole. Leave these fasteners finger tight initially; they are tightened after all brackets are positioned.
The rear mounting bracket is installed using an M12 x 116mm hex head bolt (part 109451) and a ½" flat washer (part 100118). The bolt orientation differs between Regular/Quad/Crew Cab pickups (refer to Figure 1) and Mega Cab pickups (refer to Figure 2). Leave the fastener finger tight initially.
The rear outboard bracket (parts 7 or 8) is attached to the rear inboard bracket (parts 5 or 6) in the upper mounting location using three 3/8-16 x 1.0" hex head screws (part 100040), 3/8" flat washers (part 100062), and 3/8" serrated flange nuts (part 100181).
Loosen the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. Slide the upper mounting bracket (part 9) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. Tighten down the bolt, ensuring that the upper mounting bracket is level.
Fasten the lower bracket (part 11) to the upper bracket (part 9) using 3/8" bolts, washers, and nuts (parts 100040, 100062, 100181). Use the two lower holes in the upper bracket. Ensure the lower bracket sits level to the front brackets.
After all brackets are positioned, attach the step plate per the instructions included with your step plate assembly. Then position the load reaction stud assembly so that the rubber cushion is snug against the side of the frame, and tighten the 3/8" serrated flange nuts on either side of the bracket to 19 lb-ft.
Yes. When positioning the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets, ensure that the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. The square head screws should be located in the slots of the mounting brackets.
The M12 hex head bolts attaching the front and center mounting brackets to the body mounts (steps 4.1 and 4.2) and the M12 bolt attaching the rear mounting bracket (step 4.3) are left finger tight during initial installation. The flange nut on the outboard end of the load reaction stud (step 3) is also left finger tight. These fasteners are tightened to their final specifications after all brackets are positioned and the step plate is attached.
No. The factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts are removed and will not be reused. New M12 hex head bolts and washers provided in the kit are used to attach the mounting brackets.
The O-MEGA II is a universal step that requires a vehicle-specific bracket package (sold separately). Fitment depends on obtaining the correct bracket package for your vehicle model. Consult the bracket package instructions or contact the manufacturer to confirm compatibility.
The W2W MEGA/GRIP (models 571439 and 401439) fits 2014 and newer RAM 2500 Pickups in all cab styles: Regular Cab, Quad Cab, Crew Cab, and Mega Cab. For Regular Cab, the center bracket is not used.
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes per step pad using the pad as a guide, then attach with five 8-18 x 1/2" TEK screws.
Tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts to 19 lb-ft. End caps should be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
Tighten the 3/8" serrated flange nuts on either side of the load reaction stud assembly to 19 lb-ft after positioning the rubber cushion snug against the frame.

Yes. Regular Cab, Quad Cab, and Crew Cab pickups use one orientation (Figure 1), while Mega Cab pickups use a different orientation (Figure 2).
Ensure that you have inserted the stud from the inboard (frame side) through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. The stud end must be recessed approximately 3/16" into the rubber washer. If the washer still does not seat properly, verify that you are using the correct stud length (4" for front, 3" for rear) and that the bracket is positioned correctly before final tightening.
Loosen the suspension link bolt that you tightened in step 5.1. Reposition the upper mounting bracket (part 9) so that it is level, then retighten the suspension link bolt. Verify that the bracket is level before proceeding to attach the lower bracket in step 5.2.
Loosen the 3/8" bolts, washers, and nuts (parts 100040, 100062, 100181) that attach the lower bracket (part 11) to the upper bracket (part 9). Reposition the lower bracket so that it sits level to the front brackets, then retighten the fasteners. Verify levelness before final tightening of all brackets.
