LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 3500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II steps are a universal application. However, step pad positioning varies by vehicle model. The manual provides specific pad location measurements for Silverado/Sierra (double, extended, crew cab), Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana van, RAM (quad, crew, mega cab), Ford F150 (super cab, super crew cab), and Ford Super Duty (super cab, crew cab). For other vehicles, pad locations may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. You must use the appropriate bracket package for your vehicle; the O-MEGA steps alone do not include brackets.
The W2W MEGA STEP BRACKETS (model 571338) are designed specifically for 2013-2015 RAM 3500 pickups. The manual notes that 2009-2012 RAM trucks do not have obround holes in the pinch weld and will require drilling 2 x 5/16" holes for each bracket. Compatibility with other RAM model years or truck sizes is not addressed in the manual.
The O-MEGA II step kit includes: 2 extrusions (available in silver or black, in lengths 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", or 122.0"), 6 step pads (part 107957), 4 end caps (part 107956), 28 square head screws 5/16-18 x 1" (part 106880), 28 serrated flange nuts 5/16-18 (part 102680), and 30 tek screws #8-18 x 1/2" (part 107958). You must also obtain the appropriate bracket package for your vehicle separately.
The W2W MEGA STEP BRACKETS kit includes: 2 front brackets (part 553006), 2 front/middle brackets (part 553007), 1 rear left bracket (part 553008), 1 rear right bracket (part 553009), 2 lower mounting brackets (part 551721), 2 upper mounting brackets (part 551809), 12 carriage bolts 1/4-20 x 1" (part 101320), 12 flat washers 1/4" (part 101370), 12 flange nuts 1/4-20 (part 102366), 12 hex head screws M8 x 25mm (part 102549), 12 flat washers 5/16" (part 100034), 6 hex flange nuts M8 (part 105859), 6 T-bolt weldments (part 553012), 6 plastic bolt retainers (part 101572), 6 flat washers 3/8" (part 100062), 6 serrated flange nuts 3/8-16 (part 100181), and 6 hex head screws 3/8-16 x 1.0" (part 100040).
The manual does not specify which tools are required. However, the installation involves drilling 5 x 1/8" holes for step pad attachment, so a drill with a 1/8" bit is necessary. You will also need a wrench or socket set to tighten fasteners to the specified torque values (5 lb ft for end caps, 19 lb ft for mounting bolts). Consult the bracket package instructions for any additional tools needed to mount brackets to your vehicle.
The manual does not specify which tools are required. However, installation involves tightening multiple fasteners with specific torque values, so a torque wrench and socket set are necessary. For 2009-2012 RAM trucks, drilling of 2 x 5/16" holes per bracket is required, so a drill with a 5/16" bit is needed. A wrench set will be needed to tighten the leaf spring bolt and various mounting fasteners.
The manual does not address whether battery disconnection is required.

Before attaching step pads to the step plates, use the location guide table on sheet 2 to determine the correct positions for your vehicle. Drill 5 x 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide, then attach the pad with 5 x #8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (part 107958). Due to the shortness of some boxes, mount the box step pad first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. Repeat for all step pads.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (part 106880) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (part 102680) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb ft.
Install the end caps (part 107956) as shown in figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 lb ft.
1. Place the driver's side front bracket (part 553006) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. Align the two rectangular holes of the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (part 101320) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld, add a 1/4" flat washer (part 101370) and 1/4-20 flange nut (part 102366), and leave finger tight. 2. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (part 102549) with a 5/16" flat washer (part 100034) through the slots on the upper mounting flange and leave finger tight. 3. Repeat on the middle (part 553007) and rear (part 553008) brackets. 4. For the passenger side, use part 553007 for front, part 553006 for middle, and part 553009 for rear, mirroring the driver's side installation.
1. Install the T-bolt weldment (part 553012) into the large obround hole on the rocker panel vertical wall, inserting the nut end first and leaving the threaded stud sticking out. Attach the plastic bolt retainer (part 101572) to the threaded stud to prevent it from falling into the rocker panel. 2. Place the driver's side front bracket (part 553006) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. Align the two rectangular holes with the two obround holes in the pinchweld. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts (part 101320) through the lower mounting flange and pinchweld, add a 1/4" flat washer (part 101370) and 1/4-20 flange nut (part 102366), and leave finger tight. 3. Place a flat washer (part 100034) and M8 flange nut (part 105859) on the threaded stud of the T-bolt, leaving finger tight. 4. Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw (part 102549) with a 5/16" flat washer (part 100034) and leave finger tight. 5. Repeat steps 1-4 on the middle (part 553007) and rear (part 553008) brackets. 6. For the passenger side, use part 553007 for front, part 553006 for middle, and part 553009 for rear, mirroring the driver's side installation.
1. Loosen the bolt that fastens the leaf spring to the vehicle. Slide the upper mounting bracket (part 551809) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. Place a 3/8" bolt and washer (parts 100040, 100062) through the hole in the upper mounting bracket and frame bracket, then fasten with a 3/8" serrated flange nut (part 100181). Tighten the leaf spring bolt, ensuring the upper mounting bracket is level. 2. Fasten the lower bracket (part 551721) to the upper bracket using a 3/8" bolt, washer, and flange nut (parts 100040, 100062, 100181) through the two lower holes in the upper bracket, ensuring it sits level to the front brackets.
