LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 3500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The W2W MEGA STEP BRACKETS model 571338 are specifically designed for 2013-2015 RAM 3500 Pickups. However, 2009-2012 RAM trucks can be fitted with modification: they do not have obround holes in the pinch weld and will require drilling two 5/16" holes for each bracket. Follow the bracket positioning procedure (step 2.5), then mark and drill the pinch weld before proceeding with fastener installation.
The O-MEGA II 6" OVAL STEPS (models 583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, 584125) are designed for universal application. However, the specific mounting brackets required vary by vehicle. The step pad positioning guide in the manual covers Silverado/Sierra (Double, Extended, and Crew Cab), Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans, RAM (Quad, Crew, and Mega Cab), and Ford F150 and Super Duty trucks (Super Cab and Super Crew Cab). You must follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package for proper mounting.
The O-MEGA II 6" OVAL STEPS include: two extrusion-aluminum step plates (available in silver or black, in lengths 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", or 122.0"), six aluminum step pads (black), four plastic end caps, 28 square head screws (5/16-18 X 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 tek screws (#8-18 X 1/2"). The specific extrusion length and color depend on your model number. You must also obtain the appropriate bracket package for your vehicle separately.
The W2W MEGA STEP BRACKETS model 571338 require: 12 carriage bolts (1/4-20 X 1.00"), 12 flat washers (0.281 X 0.625 X 0.065"), 12 flange nuts (1/4-20), 12 hex head screws (M8 X 25mm), 12 flat washers (5/16"), 6 hex flange nuts (M8 X 1.25), 6 T-bolt weldments, 6 plastic bolt retainers (8mm), 6 flat washers (3/8"), 6 serrated flange nuts (3/8-16), and 6 hex head screws (3/8-16 X 1.0"). All fasteners are included in the kit.
No. The step pads (item #2) must be installed on the step plates before attaching the steps to the brackets. Position the step pads according to the vehicle-specific guide table on sheet 2, then drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide and attach with five 8-18 X 1/2" tek screws. Repeat for all step pads. Note: for some vehicles with short boxes, mount the box step pad first approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly.
Step pad positioning varies by vehicle model and cab style. Use the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2. For example: Silverado/Sierra Double Cab uses Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 46-3/4"; Ford F150 Super Crew Cab uses Pad A at 18-1/4" and Pad B at 56-1/2"; RAM Quad Cab uses Pad A at 10-1/2" and Pad B at 46". Some vehicles (Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana vans and Ford models) use only Pad A with no Pad B. The manual notes these are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Yes. When installing the step pads on the step plates, you must drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide, then attach with five 8-18 X 1/2" tek screws. The drilling is required for each step pad. Additionally, if you are installing the W2W MEGA STEP BRACKETS on 2009-2012 RAM trucks (which do not have obround holes in the pinch weld), you will need to drill two 5/16" holes for each bracket in the pinch weld.
Follow this sequence: (1) Read all instructions and verify all parts are present; (2) Follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle; (3) Install step pads on the step plates using the vehicle-specific positioning guide, drilling five 1/8" holes per pad and attaching with tek screws; (4) Install the required number of square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates; (5) Install the end caps (item #3) and tighten the nuts to 5 lb ft; (6) Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws are located in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear, then install 5/16" serrated flange nuts and tighten to 19 lb ft.
For RAM 3500 trucks with threaded inserts: (1) Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) against the pinch weld with the lower mounting flange to the outside; (2) Align the two rectangular holes of the lower mounting flange with the two obround holes in the pinch weld; (3) Insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts through the lower mounting flange and pinch weld, add a 1/4" flat washer and 1/4-20 flange nut, leave finger-tight; (4) Insert an M8 X 25mm screw with a 5/16" flat washer through the slots on the upper mounting flange, leave finger-tight; (5) Repeat for the middle and rear brackets on the driver's side; (6) Mirror this installation on the passenger side, using item #2 for the front bracket, item #1 for the middle bracket, and item #4 for the rear bracket.
For RAM 3500 trucks without threaded inserts: (1) Install the T-bolt weldment (item #13) into the large obround hole in the rocker panel's vertical wall, inserting the nut end first and leaving the threaded stud sticking out; (2) Attach the flat plastic bolt retainer (item #14) to the threaded stud to prevent the T-bolt from falling into the rocker panel; (3) Place the driver's side front bracket (item #1) against the pinch weld with the lower mounting flange to the outside; (4) Align and insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts through the lower mounting flange and pinch weld, add a 1/4" flat washer and 1/4-20 flange nut, leave finger-tight; (5) Place a flat washer and M8 flange nut on the T-bolt's threaded stud, leave finger-tight; (6) Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange, insert an M8 X 25mm screw with a 5/16" flat washer, leave finger-tight; (7) Repeat for the middle and rear brackets; (8) Mirror on the passenger side.
To attach the upper mounting bracket (item #6) to the leaf spring shackle: (1) Loosen the bolt that fastens the leaf spring to the vehicle; (2) Slide the upper mounting bracket between the bolt head and the frame bracket; (3) Place a 3/8" bolt and washer (items #15, #17) through the hole in the upper mounting bracket and frame bracket; (4) Fasten with a 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #16); (5) Tighten the leaf spring bolt while ensuring the upper mounting bracket is level. Then fasten the lower bracket (item #5) to the upper bracket using a 3/8" bolt, washer, and flange nut through the two lower holes in the upper bracket, making sure it sits level to the front brackets.
The end caps (item #3) must be tightened to 5 lb ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) that secure the square head screws (item #4) to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 lb ft.
Five 1/8" holes must be drilled through the step plate using the step pad as a guide. These holes are used to attach the step pads with five 8-18 X 1/2" tek screws.
Two 5/16" holes must be drilled in the pinch weld for each bracket on 2009-2012 RAM trucks, which do not have obround holes in the pinch weld. To locate the holes, follow step 2.5 (position the bracket), then mark the pinch weld for drilling before proceeding with fastener installation.
No. All fasteners must be left finger-tight during the initial assembly. The manual states in step 4: "INSTALL THE STEP PLATES, AND ADJUST BRACKETS, AND BOARDS BEFORE TIGHTENING ALL THE FASTENERS." This allows for proper alignment and adjustment before final tightening.
Yes. The first step of the installation instructions states: "READ INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY AND CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL REQUIRED PARTS (LISTED ON THE SERVICE PARTS LIST) ARE ON HAND BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION." Verify you have all parts listed in the Service Parts List before beginning.
The W2W MEGA STEP BRACKETS model 571338 are designed for 2013-2015 RAM 3500 Pickups. 2009-2012 RAM trucks can be fitted with drilling modifications (two 5/16" holes per bracket in the pinch weld). For other RAM models or years, consult your bracket package instructions.
