LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies depend able strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel st eps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 2500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" OVAL STEP is a truck step assembly available in models 583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, and 584125. It is designed for universal application and requires a vehicle-specific bracket package (sold separately) to mount. The step pads are positioned differently depending on your vehicle model and cab style, with a positioning guide provided for Silverado, Sierra, Express, Savana, RAM, and Ford F-150 and Super Duty trucks.
The W2W MEGA/GRIP STEP BRACKET is designed specifically for 2014 and newer RAM 2500 Pickups in Regular Cab, Quad Cab, Crew Cab, and Mega Cab configurations. If you have a different truck brand or model, or an older RAM 2500, this bracket will not fit. You will need to use the appropriate O-MEGA II bracket package for your vehicle instead.
The manual provides part numbers for both W2W MEGA (MS) and W2W GRIP bracket variants in the service parts list, indicating they are alternative bracket styles for the same application (2014+ RAM 2500 Pickups). However, the manual does not explain the functional or design differences between them. Contact the manufacturer or your supplier to determine which variant is appropriate for your specific needs.
No. For Regular Cab RAM 2500 Pickups, only the front and rear cab mounting brackets are used. The center mounting bracket and its fasteners may be discarded and do not need to be installed.
No. The rear bracket orientation differs between cab styles. For Regular Cab, Quad Cab, and Crew Cab pickups, refer to Figure 1. For Mega Cab pickups, refer to Figure 2. The orientation must be correct to ensure proper fitment and load distribution.
The O-MEGA II includes: 2 aluminum extrusions (available in 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", or 122.0" lengths, in silver or black), 6 step pads (aluminum, black), 4 plastic end caps (2.95 × 6.70"), 28 square head bolts (5/16-18 × 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 tek screws (#8-18 × 1/2"). The specific extrusion length depends on your vehicle model. A vehicle-specific bracket package must be purchased separately.
The W2W MEGA/GRIP STEP BRACKET includes: front, center, and rear mounting brackets (left and right, with MS or GRIP variants); rear outboard brackets; upper and lower W2W brackets; 4 M12 × 110 mm hex head bolts; 2 M12 × 160 mm hex head bolts; 2.0" washers; ½" flat washers; 3/8" flat washers; rubber cushion washers; 3/8-16 serrated flange nuts; 3" and 4" double-ended studs; and 3/8-16 × 1.0" hex head screws. The step plate assembly is purchased separately and installed per its own instructions.
Yes. The O-MEGA II step assembly does not include the mounting brackets. You must obtain a vehicle-specific bracket package separately and follow the instructions included with that package to mount the brackets to your vehicle before attaching the O-MEGA step to them.
Before starting installation, read all instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed in the service parts list are on hand. Ensure you have the correct bracket package for your specific vehicle. Check the step pad location guide on sheet 2 to determine the correct positioning for your vehicle model and cab style.
Before starting installation, read all instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed in the service parts list are on hand. Confirm your truck is a 2014 or newer RAM 2500 Pickup. Determine your cab style (Regular, Quad, Crew, or Mega Cab) as this affects rear bracket orientation and whether the center bracket is used. Have the step plate assembly instructions available, as the step plate is installed separately after the brackets are mounted.
Yes. Before attaching the step pads to the step plates, you must drill 5 holes of 1/8" diameter in each step plate using the step pad as a guide. The step pads are then attached with 5 tek screws (#8-18 × 1/2") provided. This must be done for all step pads before the step assembly is mounted to the brackets.
No permanent modifications to the truck are required. However, the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts must be removed and will not be reused. The mounting brackets are installed in place of these factory bolts using new M12 hex head bolts and washers. The upper mounting bracket is attached by loosening (not removing) the suspension link bolt, sliding the bracket between the bolt head and frame bracket, then retightening the bolt.
The end caps (Item #3) must be tightened to 5 LB FT.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) installed on the square head screws (Item #4) must be tightened to 19 LB FT.
The 3/8" serrated flange nuts on either side of the load reaction stud assembly must be tightened to 19 LB FT. This is done after positioning the load reaction stud assembly so that the rubber cushion is snug against the side of the frame.
Two stud sizes are used: a 4" stud (Item #19) for the front bracket and a 3" stud (Item #18) for the rear brackets. Both are 3/8-16 double-ended studs. The correct stud length must be used for each bracket location.
Five 1/8" diameter holes must be drilled in each step plate using the step pad as a guide. The step pads are then attached with 5 tek screws (#8-18 × 1/2") provided.
Step pad positioning varies by vehicle model and cab style. Refer to the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2. For example, Silverado/Sierra Double Cab uses Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 46-3/4". RAM Quad Cab uses Pad A at 10-1/2" and Pad B at 46". Ford F-150 Super Crew Cab uses Pad A at 18-1/4" and Pad B at 56-1/2". The guide notes that due to the shortness of some boxes, the box step pad should be mounted first, approximately ½" from the end cap, then the middle step pad mounted accordingly. These are suggestions and may be adjusted at the purchaser's discretion.
1. Mount the brackets to your vehicle per the bracket package instructions. 2. Attach step pads to step plates by drilling 5 × 1/8" holes per pad and securing with 5 tek screws each. 3. Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 4. Install end caps and tighten nuts to 5 LB FT. 5. Position the step on the mounting brackets so square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. 6. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 LB FT.
1. On the short threaded end of the stud, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards to the bottom of the thread. 2. Install a 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer tight against the serrated flange nut. The stud end must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". 3. On the long threaded end, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut backwards to near the bottom of the threads. Use a 4" stud for the front bracket and a 3" stud for the rear brackets.
Insert the stud from the inboard (frame) side through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a 3/8" serrated flange nut on the outboard end of the stud and leave it finger tight only at this stage. The stud will be fully tightened after positioning in Step 7.
Remove the factory front and center body mount bolts (they will not be reused). Using an M12 × 110 mm hex head bolt and a 2.0" washer, install the front mounting bracket to the front body mount. Using an M12 × 110 mm hex head bolt and a 2.0" washer, install the center mounting bracket to the center body mount. Leave all fasteners finger tight at this stage; they will be tightened after the step is positioned.
Remove the factory rear body mount bolt (it will not be reused). Using an M12 × 160 mm hex head bolt and a ½" flat washer, install the rear inboard mounting bracket to the rear body mount. Leave the fastener finger tight. Attach the rear outboard mounting bracket to the rear inboard mounting bracket in the upper mounting location using three 3/8-16 × 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts. The rear bracket orientation differs by cab style: refer to Figure 1 for Regular/Quad/Crew Cab, or Figure 2 for Mega Cab.
Loosen (do not remove) the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. Slide the upper mounting bracket between the bolt head and the frame bracket. Tighten the bolt, ensuring the upper bracket is level. Fasten the lower bracket to the upper bracket using 3/8" bolts, washers, and nuts through the two lower holes in the upper bracket, ensuring the lower bracket sits level to the front brackets.
During initial installation, leave the following fasteners finger tight: the M12 × 110 mm bolts for the front mounting bracket (Step 4.1), the M12 × 110 mm bolts for the center mounting bracket (Step 4.2), the M12 × 160 mm bolts for the rear mounting bracket (Step 4.3), and the 3/8" serrated flange nuts on the outboard end of the load reaction studs (Step 3). These are tightened to final torque only after the step plate is positioned and the load reaction studs are properly seated.
After the step plate is installed per its own instructions, position the load reaction stud assembly so that the rubber cushion is snug against the side of the frame. Once properly positioned, tighten the 3/8" serrated flange nuts on either side of the bracket to 19 LB FT. This final tightening ensures the load reaction studs are securely fastened and the rubber cushion remains in contact with the frame.
The rubber cushion washer (Item #15) provides a cushioned interface between the stud assembly and the vehicle frame. It must be recessed approximately 3/16" into the stud end and positioned snug against the side of the frame to absorb vibration and load, protecting the frame from direct metal-to-metal contact.
The step plate is installed after the mounting brackets are attached to the vehicle and the load reaction studs are assembled and positioned. Step 6 instructs you to attach the step plate per the instructions included with your step plate assembly. The step plate assembly instructions are separate from the bracket installation instructions.
The W2W MEGA/GRIP STEP BRACKET (571439/401439) fits 2014+ RAM 2500 Pickups only (Regular, Quad, Crew, or Mega Cab). For other trucks, use the O-MEGA II step with a vehicle-specific bracket package.
Yes. The O-MEGA II step does not include mounting brackets. You must purchase a vehicle-specific bracket package separately and follow its instructions to mount the brackets before attaching the step.
End caps: 5 LB FT. Square head screw flange nuts: 19 LB FT.
The 3/8" serrated flange nuts on either side of the load reaction stud assembly must be tightened to 19 LB FT after the rubber cushion is positioned snug against the frame.
No. For Regular Cab RAM 2500 Pickups, only the front and rear brackets are used. The center bracket and fasteners may be discarded.
No. The factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts are removed and will not be reused. New M12 hex head bolts and washers are provided to mount the brackets in their place.
