LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ram 2500 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Yes. The Model 571438W2W MEGA Brackets are designed for 2014+ RAM 2500 Pickups. The installation method depends on whether your truck has threaded inserts in the rocker panel. If your truck lacks these inserts (common on 2009–2012 models), you will need to drill two 5/16" holes in the pinchweld for each bracket.
For a Silverado Crew Cab, position Pad A at 14-3/4" from one end and Pad B at 54-1/4" from the same end. Note that these are suggested positions and may be placed at your discretion.
For a Ford F150 Super Crew Cab, position Pad A at 18-1/4" from one end and Pad B at 56-1/2" from the same end. These are suggested positions and may be placed at your discretion.
For a RAM Crew Cab, position Pad A at 10-1/2" from one end and Pad B at 48" from the same end. These are suggested positions and may be placed at your discretion.
For a Ford Super Duty Crew Cab, position Pad A at 6-7/8" from one end and Pad B at 52-7/8" from the same end. These are suggested positions and may be placed at your discretion.
Yes. For a Chevrolet Express Van or GMC Savana Van, use only Pad A positioned at 7-1/2" from one end. Pad B is not used (marked N/A). These are suggested positions and may be placed at your discretion.
The step includes two aluminum extrusions (available in silver or black, in lengths 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", or 122.0"), six step pads, four end caps, 28 square head screws (5/16-18 X 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 TEK screws (#8-18 X 1/2"). The specific extrusion length depends on your vehicle model. Verify all parts are present before starting installation.
The Model 571438W2W bracket package includes: 12 carriage bolts (1/4-20 X 1"), 12 flat washers (1/4"), 12 flange nuts (1/4-20), 12 hex head screws (M8 X 25mm), 12 flat washers (5/16"), 6 hex flange nuts (M8), 6 T-bolt weldments, 6 plastic bolt retainers, 4 hex head screws (3/8-16 X 1.0"), 4 flat washers (3/8"), and 4 serrated flange nuts (3/8-16). If your truck lacks threaded inserts in the rocker panel, you will also need to drill 5/16" holes.
Yes. The manual explicitly requires you to read all instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting installation. For RAM 2500 trucks, you must also follow the specific bracket installation instructions included with your bracket package.
1. Install step pads on the step plates using five 1/8" drilled holes and 8-18 X 1/2" TEK screws per pad. 2. Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 3. Install end caps and tighten nuts to 5 lb-ft. 4. Position the step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws sit in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. 5. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet 2 for your vehicle model to determine Pad A and Pad B positions. Due to the shortness of some boxes, mount the box step pad first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. Note that these are suggested positions and may be placed at your discretion.
Yes. For each step pad, you must drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide, then attach the pad with five 8-18 X 1/2" TEK screws (Item #6). Repeat this process for all step pads.
Yes. 2009–2012 RAM trucks do not have obround holes in the pinchweld. You must drill two 5/16" holes for each bracket. To locate the holes, follow Step 2.5 (install the T-bolt weldment), then mark the pinchweld for drilling with the bracket in place. After drilling, proceed with Steps 2.7 and 2.8.
Tighten the end cap nuts to 5 lb-ft.
Tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws to 19 lb-ft.
1. Place the driver's side front bracket (Item #1) against the pinchweld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. 2. Align the two rectangular holes in the lower flange with the obround holes in the pinchweld. 3. Insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts through the flange and pinchweld, add a 1/4" flat washer and 1/4-20 flange nut to each, and leave finger-tight. 4. Insert an M8 X 25mm screw with a 5/16" flat washer through the upper mounting flange slots and leave finger-tight. 5. Repeat for the middle and rear brackets on the driver's side. 6. Mirror this process on the passenger side, using Item #2 for the front bracket, Item #1 for the middle bracket, and Item #4 for the rear bracket.
1. Install the T-bolt weldment (Item #14) into the large obround hole in the rocker panel's vertical wall, nut end first, leaving the threaded stud exposed. Attach the plastic bolt retainer (Item #15) to the stud to prevent it from falling into the panel. 2. Place the driver's side front bracket against the pinchweld with the lower flange to the outside. 3. Insert two 1/4-20 X 1" carriage bolts through the lower flange and pinchweld, add a 1/4" flat washer and 1/4-20 flange nut to each, and leave finger-tight. 4. Place a flat washer and M8 flange nut on the T-bolt stud and leave finger-tight. 5. Rotate the T-bolt so the nut is visible through the upper flange's slotted hole. 6. Insert an M8 X 25mm screw with a 5/16" flat washer through the slot and leave finger-tight. 7. Repeat for the middle and rear brackets. 8. Mirror this process on the passenger side.
1. Loosen the bolt that fastens the suspension links to the vehicle. 2. Slide the upper mounting bracket (Item #5 or #6) between the bolt head and the frame bracket. 3. Tighten the bolt, ensuring the upper bracket is level. 4. Fasten the lower bracket (Item #7) to the upper bracket using a 3/8" bolt, washer, and nut (Items #16, #17, #18) through the two lower holes in the upper bracket, ensuring it sits level to the front brackets.
Install the step plates and adjust the brackets and boards before tightening all fasteners. This allows you to ensure proper alignment and fit before final tightening.
Position the step so that the square head screws (Item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle.
The O-MEGA II is a universal step with vehicle-specific bracket packages. Model 571438W2W is confirmed for 2014+ RAM 2500 Pickups. For other vehicles, follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package. Step pad positioning varies by vehicle model (see the Step Pad Location Guide for your truck type).
The manual does not specify required tools. You will need a drill with a 1/8" bit for step pad attachment and a 5/16" bit if drilling the pinchweld on 2009–2012 RAM trucks. Standard wrenches or sockets will be needed for bolt and nut installation.
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes per step pad to attach the pads to the step plates. If installing on a 2009–2012 RAM 2500, you must also drill two 5/16" holes in the pinchweld for each bracket.
End cap nuts: 5 lb-ft. Square head screw flange nuts: 19 lb-ft. No final torque values are specified for RAM bracket fasteners; leave all bracket fasteners finger-tight during assembly and tighten after step plates are installed and adjusted.
Yes. You must attach the step pads to the step plates using five 1/8" drilled holes and TEK screws before positioning the step on the mounting brackets.
Yes. Leave all bracket fasteners finger-tight during installation (carriage bolts, upper flange screws, and T-bolt fasteners if applicable). Install the step plates and adjust the brackets and boards before tightening all fasteners.
