The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps package includes two extrusion assemblies (available in silver or black aluminum in lengths from 95.0" to 122.0"), step pads, end caps, square head bolts, serrated flange nuts, and TEK screws. The exact extrusion length and colour depend on the model number (583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, or 584125). A separate bracket package specific to your vehicle is required and must be obtained separately.

Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes through the step plates to attach the step pads using the step pad as a guide. These holes are drilled before attaching the steps to the mounting brackets. The bracket installation method (which may or may not require drilling) depends on your specific bracket package.
No. Model 571729 is a no-drill application. The brackets mount directly to factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel using isolator washers and flange nuts. The rear inboard bracket requires loosening (not removing) the spring shackle bolt to slip the bracket behind the nut, and the rear outboard bracket uses bolts through existing holes.
Step pad position varies by vehicle model and cab style. Use the Pad Location Guide on Sheet 2 of the manual. For example, Silverado/Sierra double cab uses Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 46-3/4"; Ford F150 Super Crew Cab uses Pad A at 18-1/4" and Pad B at 56-1/2". The manual notes these are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. For vehicles with only one pad (such as Chevrolet Express Van and Ford models listed with N/A for Pad B), mount only Pad A.
1. Position the step pad on the step plate using the Pad Location Guide as reference. 2. Using the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" holes through the step plate. 3. Attach the step pad with five 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (Item #6). 4. Repeat for all step pads. Note: For short boxes, mount the box step pad first approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly.
Tighten the nuts on the end caps (Item #3) to 5 lb-ft.
Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws (Item #4) and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Position the step so that the square head screws (Item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Then install the 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
1. On the left side, install two 1.5" isolator washers (Item #3), the step mounting bracket (Item #2), and two M8-1.25 flange nuts (Item #4) on the factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel. 2. Repeat for the remaining brackets. 3. Check that all brackets are level and tighten all flange nuts. The manual does not specify a torque value for these nuts.
Loosen the nut and bolt on the spring shackle just enough to slip the rear inboard bracket (Item #8) behind the nut. On the passenger side, loosen the nut and slide the bolt outward to install the bracket. Do not remove the bolt completely as this could result in injury. Adjust the bracket so it is vertical and tighten to 80 lb-ft.
Using two 5/16-18×1" bolts (Item #6), two 5/16" flat washers (Item #7), and two 5/16-18 flange nuts (Item #5), install the outboard bracket (Item #10) as shown in Figure 2. Leave this bracket loose at this time. After attaching the step board to the mounting brackets, adjust the rear outboard bracket for your step assembly and tighten the bolts securing the outboard bracket to the inboard bracket.
The rear inboard bracket (Item #8) must be tightened to 80 lb-ft on the spring shackle bolt.
Do not remove the spring shackle bolt completely. Loosen it only enough to slip the rear inboard bracket behind the nut. Complete removal of the bolt could result in injury.
Model 571729 fits 2017+ Ford Super Duty pickups only. Regular cab and super cab trucks will have two unused brackets; it is designed for crew cab applications.
