LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ford F250 Super Duty and F350 Super Duty (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

Read the installation instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed on the service parts list are on hand before starting. Note that if installing on a regular cab or super cab pickup, there will be two unused brackets.
Before attaching the step pads to the step plates, use the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 to determine the correct positions for your vehicle. The guide provides specific measurements for Pad A and Pad B positions. For vehicles with only one pad (Express Van, Savana Van, and some Ford models), mount only Pad A. For vehicles with two pads, mount the box step pad (Pad A) first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad (Pad B) accordingly. These are suggested positions and may be adjusted at your discretion.
Yes, drilling is required. When installing the step pads on the steps, use the step pad as a guide to drill 5 holes at 1/8" diameter. Attach each pad with 5 tek screws (#8-18 X 1/2", part 107958). Repeat this process for all step pads.
No, model 571729 is a no-drill application. All mounting uses factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel and the factory spring shackle bolt. No drilling is required.
Place the step pad on top of the step plate in the position determined from the Step Pad Location Guide. Using the step pad as a guide, drill 5 holes at 1/8" diameter. Attach the pad with 5 tek screws (#8-18 X 1/2", part 107958). Repeat for all step pads.
Install the required number of square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. The exact number depends on your step model. These bolts will later be inserted into the slots of the mounting brackets.
Install the end caps (part 107956) as shown in Figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 LB FT.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (part 106880) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (part 102680) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 LB FT.
On the left side of the vehicle, install two 1.5" isolator washers (part 108442), the step mounting bracket (part 552643), and two M8-1.25 flange nuts (part 105859) on the factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel as shown in Figure 1. Repeat for the remaining brackets on the right side. Check that all brackets are level and tighten all flange nuts.
Loosen the nut and bolt on the spring shackle just enough to slip the rear inboard bracket (part 553104 for left side, part 553105 for right side) behind the nut as shown in Figure 2. On the passenger side, the nut will have to be loosened and the bolt slid outward to install the mounting bracket. Do not remove the bolt completely as this could result in injury. Adjust the bracket so that it is vertical and tighten to 80 LB-FT.
Using two 5/16-18 X 1" bolts (part 106997), two 5/16" flat washers (part 106998), and two 5/16-18 flange nuts (part 106996), install the outboard bracket (part 551721) as shown in Figure 2. Leave this bracket loose at this time. After attaching the step board to the mounting brackets, adjust the rear outboard bracket for your step assembly and tighten the bolts securing the outboard bracket to the inboard bracket.
Tighten the end cap nuts to 5 LB FT.
Tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts (part 102680) on the square head screws (part 106880) to 19 LB FT.
Tighten all M8-1.25 flange nuts (part 105859) on the rocker panel mounting brackets to the torque specified in the instructions, after checking that all brackets are level. The manual does not provide a specific torque value for these nuts.
Tighten the spring shackle bolt to 80 LB-FT after installing the rear inboard bracket (part 553104 or 553105).
The manual does not specify a torque value for the 5/16-18 X 1" bolts (part 106997) securing the rear outboard bracket (part 551721) to the inboard bracket. Tighten after adjusting the rear outboard bracket for your step assembly.
1. Install rocker panel mounting brackets with isolator washers and flange nuts on both sides. 2. Check that all brackets are level and tighten all flange nuts. 3. Install rear inboard bracket on spring shackle bolt and tighten to 80 LB-FT. 4. Install rear outboard bracket with bolts, washers, and nuts (leave loose). 5. Attach the step board to the mounting brackets per the step board assembly instructions. 6. Adjust the rear outboard bracket and tighten the bolts securing it to the inboard bracket. 7. Repeat steps 1-6 for the right side of the vehicle.
When installing the rear inboard bracket on the spring shackle bolt, loosen the nut and bolt just enough to slip the bracket behind the nut. Do not remove the bolt completely as this could result in injury. On the passenger side, loosen the nut and slide the bolt outward carefully to install the bracket.
