1. Place the step pad on top of the step plate. 2. Using the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" holes through the step plate. 3. Attach the pad with five 8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (item 6). 4. Repeat for all step pads. Note: Mount the box step pad first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly.

Leave this bracket loose at this time. Using a 5/16-18 x 1" bolt (item 6), a 5/16" flat washer (item 7), and a 5/16-18 flange nut (item 5), install the rear clamp bracket (item 11) over the cables from step 5 onto the rear inboard bracket.
Tighten the end cap nuts to 5 lb-ft.

The rear inboard bracket must be vertical for proper installation. Loosen the spring shackle bolt, reposition the bracket to ensure it is vertical, and retighten to 80 lb-ft.
