LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ford F150 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Step is a universal step assembly available in models 583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, and 584125. It is designed for universal application across multiple vehicle types including Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, Ram trucks, and Ford F150 and Super Duty pickups. Fitment requires a specific bracket package (instructions included separately) matched to your vehicle.
The W2W MEGA STEP/SES model 571529 is designed specifically for 2015 and newer Ford F150 pickups with rocker panel mounting. It is a no-drill application. If you have a regular cab or super cab F150, the installation will include two unused brackets. For other vehicle makes or model years, this bracket is not compatible.
The O-MEGA II includes: 2 aluminum extrusions (available in silver or black, various lengths), 6 step pads, 4 plastic end caps, 28 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 28 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 30 TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). The specific extrusion length depends on your model number. All parts are listed in the Service Parts List with their part numbers.
The W2W MEGA STEP/SES bracket kit includes: 6 mounting brackets (part 552643), 12 nylon isolator washers 1.5" (part 108442), 12 M8-1.25 flange nuts (part 105859), 5 5/16-18 flange nuts (part 106996), 5 5/16-18 x 1" bolts (part 106997), 5 5/16" flat washers (part 106998), 1 rear inboard bracket left-hand (part 552752), 1 rear inboard bracket right-hand (part 552753), 2 rear outboard brackets (part 551721), and 1 rear clamp bracket left-hand (part 552754). The step assembly itself is ordered separately.
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" holes through the step plates to attach the step pads using the step pad as a guide. These holes are drilled before the step is mounted to the brackets. The TEK screws (item #6) are then installed through these holes to secure the pads. No other drilling is required for the main step assembly; bracket mounting instructions are provided separately.
No. The W2W MEGA STEP model 571529 is a no-drill application. It mounts directly to factory-provided studs on the rocker panel using isolator washers and flange nuts. The only removal required is the cable guide bracket from the leaf spring shackle on the driver's side.
Step pad positioning varies by vehicle cab style and bed length. Use the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 of the manual. For example, Silverado/Sierra double cab requires Pad A at 14-3/4" and Pad B at 46-3/4". Ford F150 Super Crew Cab requires Pad A at 18-1/4" and Pad B at 56-1/2". Note: these locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. Some vehicles (Express/Savana vans, some Ford models) use only Pad A with no Pad B. Mount the box step pad first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly.
1. Read instructions and verify all parts are present. 2. Follow the specific bracket package instructions to mount brackets to your vehicle. 3. Install step pads on the step plates using the location guide for your vehicle, drilling five 1/8" holes and securing with TEK screws. 4. Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 5. Install end caps and tighten nuts to 5 lb-ft. 6. Position the step on the mounting brackets with square head screws in the bracket slots, centered front to rear, and install serrated flange nuts, tightening to 19 lb-ft.
1. Verify all parts are present. 2. On the left side, install two 1.5" isolator washers, the mounting bracket, and two M8-1.25 flange nuts on the factory rocker panel studs. 3. Repeat for remaining brackets on both sides. 4. Check all brackets are level and tighten all flange nuts. 5. Remove the cable guide bracket from the left (driver's) side leaf spring shackle. 6. Remove the nut on the spring shackle bolt and install the rear inboard bracket, tightening to 80 lb-ft. 7. Install the rear outboard bracket using two 5/16-18 x 1" bolts, flat washers, and flange nuts; leave loose. 8. Attach the step board per its separate instructions. 9. Adjust the rear outboard bracket and tighten. 10. Install the rear clamp bracket over the cables. 11. Repeat steps 2-9 for the right side.
The end cap nuts must be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws (item #4) that secure the step to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The rear inboard bracket, installed on the spring shackle bolt, must be tightened to 80 lb-ft.
The manual does not specify required tools. However, based on the installation steps, you will need: a drill with a 1/8" bit (to drill holes for step pad attachment), wrenches or sockets to tighten nuts to the specified torque values (5 lb-ft for end caps, 19 lb-ft for mounting bolts), and tools to follow the specific bracket package instructions (which are provided separately).
The manual does not specify required tools. However, based on the installation steps, you will need: wrenches or sockets to tighten flange nuts and bolts to the specified torque value (80 lb-ft for the rear inboard bracket), a wrench to remove the cable guide bracket and spring shackle bolt, and tools to attach the step board assembly per its separate instructions.
The manual does not specify whether professional installation is required. Installation involves drilling, fastening, and torque specifications, which a competent DIY installer can perform. However, you must follow the specific bracket package instructions (provided separately) to mount the brackets to your vehicle, which may vary in complexity by vehicle type.
The manual does not specify whether professional installation is required. Installation involves removing the cable guide bracket, working with the spring shackle bolt, and torque specifications. A competent DIY installer can perform these tasks, though access to the rocker panel studs and spring shackle may require vehicle lift or ramps.
The manual does not mention battery disconnection. No electrical work is involved in the O-MEGA II installation.
The manual does not mention battery disconnection. No electrical work is involved in the W2W MEGA STEP installation.
The 1.5" nylon isolator washers (item #3) are installed between the mounting bracket and the factory rocker panel studs. They provide isolation and spacing as part of the mounting assembly on the rocker panel.
The cable guide bracket must be removed from the leaf spring shackle on the left (driver's) side of the vehicle. This is the only side where removal is necessary. The cable guide bracket will no longer be needed and may be removed if desired, or it can be retained.
The rear outboard bracket is left loose initially (step 7) so that it can be adjusted after the step board is attached to the mounting brackets (step 8). Once the step board is in place and positioned correctly, the rear outboard bracket is adjusted to fit properly and then tightened (step 9).
The rear clamp bracket (item #11) is installed over the cables that were removed from the leaf spring shackle in step 5. It is secured to the rear inboard bracket using a 5/16-18 x 1" bolt, flat washer, and flange nut, holding the cables in place.
Yes. If you are installing on a regular cab or super cab F150, there will be two unused brackets. The W2W MEGA STEP is designed for crew cab F150s, which have four mounting locations. Regular and super cab models have only two mounting locations.
The O-MEGA II is a universal step available in nine models (583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, 584125) designed for Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, Ram, and Ford F150 and Super Duty pickups. Fitment requires a vehicle-specific bracket package (instructions included separately). Verify your vehicle model and cab style against the step pad location guide on sheet 2.
