LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ford F250 Super Duty, F350 Super Duty and F450 Super Duty (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II package includes two extrusion assemblies (available in silver or black aluminum in lengths of 95.0", 99.0", 105.0", 111.0", or 122.0"), step pads, end caps, square head bolts, serrated flange nuts, and TEK screws. Refer to the service parts list for the complete inventory of fasteners and components. The specific extrusion length depends on your vehicle model.
The O-MEGA II is listed as a universal application. The step pad location guide on page 2 provides specific pad positioning for Silverado, Sierra, Express, Savana, Ram, and Ford F150 and Super Duty models. However, the manual does not explicitly confirm which of these vehicles are compatible or whether other vehicles can use the O-MEGA II. Contact the manufacturer or your bracket package instructions for confirmation of fitment to your specific vehicle.
The W2W Mega Steps Brackets (model 570829) are designed for 2008 and newer Ford Super Duty Super Cab pickups and 2008 and newer Ford Super Duty Crew Cab pickups only.
The manual specifies that a drill is required to create five 1/8" holes for attaching the step pads to the step plates using the step pad as a guide. The manual does not list other tools required for installation. You will need standard tools to tighten fasteners to the specified torque values (5 LB FT for end cap nuts and 19 LB FT for mounting fasteners).
Yes. The O-MEGA II manual states that you must follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package you are using to mount the brackets to your vehicle. The O-MEGA II manual covers only the attachment of the steps to the brackets, not the bracket installation itself.
Before attaching the step pads to the step plates, use the step pad location guide on page 2 to determine the correct position for your vehicle. The guide provides specific measurements for Pad A and Pad B locations for different cab styles. Note that these locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. The manual also notes that due to the shortness of some boxes, the box step pad should be mounted first, approximately ½" from the end cap, and then the middle step pad mounted accordingly.
Install 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts (Item #6) in the top rear hole of the first, second, and third mounting patterns and in the front top hole of the fifth (rear) pattern. Insert the threaded half of the U-nut through the large access holes in the rocker panel and slide the U-nut toward the round hole until it seats. The threads must face the inside of the rocker panel.
Position the step pad on the step plate using the location guide for your vehicle. Using the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" holes through the step plate. Attach the step pad with five 8-18 × 1/2" TEK screws (Item #6). Repeat this process for all step pads.
Install the end caps (Item #3) as shown in Figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 LB FT.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (Item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 LB FT.
Position the brackets on the vehicle so that the top hole lines up with the multi-thread U-nut and the bottom hole lines up with the hole in the pinch weld. Attach the top of the bracket with a 5/16" × 1.00" zinc-plated hex head cap screw (Item #7) and 5/16" zinc-plated flat washer (Item #8). Attach the bottom of the bracket to the pinch weld with a 5/16" × 1.00" black-plated hex head cap screw (Item #9), 5/16" black-plated flat washer (Item #10), and 5/16" serrated flange nut (Item #5). Level the brackets and tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT. Note: The front mounting bracket (Item #2) has a 3/16" offset at the top.
Insert five 5/16" square head screws (Item #4) in the center slot on the underside of the step. The front four sets of fasteners attach the step to the cab mounting brackets; the extra screw attaches to the rear mounting bracket. Position the step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws are located in the slots and the rear of the step is about even with the front metallic flange of the rear wheel well. Locate the step in and out as desired, install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws, and tighten to 19 LB FT.
Attach the rear mounting bracket (Item #11) against the top of the vehicle spring hanger so that the flat surfaces meet. Install a 7/16-14 × 1-1/2" hex head cap screw (Item #13) down through the top of the bracket (Item #12) and the bracket. Attach a 7/16-14 serrated flange nut and washer (Items #14 and #15). Install the bottom mounting bracket (Item #12) so that the vertical surfaces meet. Install 5/16-18 × 1.00" hex head cap screw, washer, and serrated flange nut (Items #7, #8, #5). Install the mega step on top of the lower bracket, align with the front step, and tighten down with 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts. Tighten 5/16" fasteners to 19 LB FT and 7/16" fasteners to 40 LB FT.
Yes. When installing the step pads on the steps, you must drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. The step pad is then attached with five 8-18 × 1/2" TEK screws.
Tighten the end cap nuts to 5 LB FT.
Tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws to 19 LB FT.
Tighten all 5/16" fasteners to 19 LB FT. Tighten all 7/16" fasteners to 40 LB FT.
Drill five 1/8" holes for attaching the step pads to the step plates.
Five 8-18 × 1/2" TEK screws (Item #6) are used to attach each step pad to the step plate.
Five 5/16" square head screws (Item #4) are inserted in the center slot on the underside of the step. These are secured with 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) and tightened to 19 LB FT.
The top of each cab mounting bracket is attached with a 5/16" × 1.00" zinc-plated hex head cap screw (Item #7) and 5/16" zinc-plated flat washer (Item #8). The bottom is attached with a 5/16" × 1.00" black-plated hex head cap screw (Item #9), 5/16" black-plated flat washer (Item #10), and 5/16" serrated flange nut (Item #5). All are tightened to 19 LB FT.
A 7/16-14 × 1-1/2" hex head cap screw (Item #13) is installed through the top bracket, with a 7/16-14 serrated flange nut (Item #14) and washer (Item #15) attached. The bottom bracket uses a 5/16-18 × 1.00" hex head cap screw (Item #7), washer (Item #8), and serrated flange nut (Item #5). The 7/16" fasteners are tightened to 40 LB FT and the 5/16" fasteners to 19 LB FT.
