LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II package includes two extrusion assemblies (available in silver or black aluminum in various lengths from 95.0" to 122.0"), step pads, end caps, square head screws, serrated flange nuts, and TEK screws. The exact extrusion length depends on your model number (583098, 583102, 583108, 583114, 583125, 584098, 584102, 584114, or 584125). All required fasteners are provided in the service parts list.
The W2W Mega Steps Brackets (model 570829) are designed for 2008 and newer Ford Super Duty Super Cab pickups and 2008 and newer Ford Super Duty Crew Cab pickups. These brackets use existing mounting hole patterns on the pinch weld and interior wall of the rocker panel.
The O-MEGA II steps are listed as a universal application. However, you must follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package for your vehicle, as brackets are vehicle-specific. Step pad positioning also varies by vehicle model and cab style according to the pad location guide provided.
The manual does not specify which tools are required for installation. You should contact the manufacturer or your installer to confirm what tools (such as drills, wrenches, torque wrench, and other equipment) are needed before beginning installation.
Yes. When installing the step pads on the steps, you must drill five (5) 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. The pads are then attached with five (5) 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (item #6) provided in the package.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 to position the pads for your specific vehicle model and cab style. Pad A and Pad B locations are given in inches from the front of the step. Note: Due to the shortness of some boxes, mount the box step pad first, approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. The pad locations provided are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
The end caps (item #3) should be tightened to 5 LB FT.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws (item #4) should be tightened to 19 LB FT.
Position the O-MEGA II step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Then install the 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 LB FT.
The manual states to install the required number of square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates, but does not specify the exact quantity. Refer to your specific bracket package instructions for the number required for your vehicle.
The first step is to install 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts (item #6) in the top rear hole of the first, second, and third mounting hole patterns and in the front top hole of the fifth (rear) pattern. Insert the threaded half of the U-nut through the large access holes and slide it toward the round hole until it seats. The threads must be positioned to the inside of the rocker panel.
The top of the bracket is attached with a 5/16" × 1.00" zinc plated hex head cap screw (item #7) and 5/16" zinc plated flat washer (item #8). The bottom of the bracket is attached to the pinch weld with a 5/16" × 1.00" black plated hex head cap screw (item #9), 5/16" black plated flat washer (item #10), and 5/16" serrated flange nut (item #5). All fasteners should be tightened to 19 LB FT.
Five (5) 5/16" square head screws (item #4) are inserted in the center slot on the underside of the step. The front four sets of fasteners attach the step to the cab mounting brackets, and the extra screw is used to attach to the rear mounting bracket.
The rear of the step should be positioned approximately even with the front metallic flange of the rear wheel well.
All 5/16" fasteners should be tightened to 19 LB FT.
The 7/16" fasteners should be tightened to 40 LB FT.
The rear mounting bracket (item #11) is attached against the top of the vehicle spring hanger so that the flat surfaces meet. A 7/16-14×1-1/2" hex head cap screw (item #13) is installed down through the top of the bracket (item #12) and the bracket. A 7/16-14 serrated flange nut and washer (items #14 and #15) are attached. The 7/16" fasteners should be tightened to 40 LB FT.
Five (5) 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (item #6) are used to attach each step pad. The holes are drilled at 1/8" diameter using the step pad as a guide.
The end caps (item #3) are attached with fasteners that should be tightened to 5 LB FT.
5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) are installed on 5/16" square head screws (item #4) and tightened to 19 LB FT.
5/16" multi-thread U-nuts (item #6) are used. They must be installed with the threads positioned to the inside of the rocker panel by inserting the threaded half through the large access holes and sliding toward the round hole until seated.
7/16-14×1-1/2" hex head cap screws (item #13) are used with 7/16-14 serrated flange nuts (item #14) and washers (item #15). These fasteners should be tightened to 40 LB FT.
The O-MEGA II is a universal application, but you must use the bracket package specific to your vehicle. Consult your bracket package instructions and the Step Pad Location Guide for your vehicle model and cab style.
The W2W Mega Steps Brackets (model 570829) fit 2008 and newer Ford Super Duty Super Cab and Crew Cab pickups only. They use existing mounting holes on the pinch weld and rocker panel.

Tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws to 19 LB FT. End caps should be tightened to 5 LB FT.
Tighten all 5/16" fasteners to 19 LB FT and all 7/16" fasteners to 40 LB FT.
Use the Step Pad Location Guide to find the correct distances from the front for your vehicle model and cab style. Mount the box step pad approximately 1/2" from the end cap first, then position the middle pad accordingly.
Yes. The 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts must be installed with threads positioned to the inside of the rocker panel. Insert the threaded half through the large access holes and slide toward the round hole until seated.
