Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ford E150, E150 Econoline, E250, E250 Econoline, E350 Super Duty, E450 Super Duty and E450 Econoline Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.

The Model 570121 O-MEGA Step is designed for 2001 and newer Ford Cut-A-Way Vans. Installation is performed on the passenger and driver sides of the vehicle.

Each kit includes: 2 aluminum extrusions (33.00" O-MEGA, available in silver or black), 2 step pads (aluminum, black), 4 plastic end caps, 16 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 16 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 10 Phillips head TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). Verify all parts are present before starting installation.
The kit includes: 1 O-MEGA step assembly (54.00"), 2 front mounting brackets (right and left), 2 center mounting brackets (right and left), 4 plastic end caps, 2 step pads (4-1/2" x 20"), 8 hex head cap screws (5/16-18" x 1"), 16 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 12 Phillips head TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2"), 2 short multi-thread U-nuts (5/16-18"), 2 long multi-thread U-nuts (5/16-18"), 16 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18"), 4 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18", black plated), 12 flat washers (5/16"), and 4 lock washers (5/16"). Verify all parts before starting.
The manual specifies a drill with a 1/8" pilot drill bit for Models 583036/584036, and a drill with an 11/32" bit for Model 570121 (if pinch weld holes are not pre-drilled). For Model 570121, a hacksaw or band saw is required to cut the step plates to approximately 36-1/2" length. A torque wrench is required to tighten fasteners to the specified torque values. The manual does not list other hand tools required.
Yes. For Models 583036 and 584036, you must follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package you are using to mount the brackets to your vehicle before attaching the steps. For Model 570121, mounting brackets are included in the kit and must be installed to the vehicle before the step plates are positioned.
Place the step pads (Item #2) on top of the step plates. Using the holes in the step pad as a guide, drill 5 pilot holes at 1/8" diameter. Attach the step pads with 5 Phillips head TEK screws (Item #6, #8-18 x 1/2"). Repeat this process for all step pads.
Install the end caps (Item #3) as shown in Figure 1, tightening the serrated nuts (Item #5) to 5 lb ft. The manual references Figure 1 for proper positioning, which is not visible in the provided documentation.
1. Remove tape covering mounting holes in the inside quarter panel on the passenger side (two front locations). 2. Install short and long multi-thread U-nuts in the designated holes. 3. Install front mounting brackets using hex bolts, flat washers, and lock washers; finger tighten only. 4. Install hex bolts through pinch weld holes (drill if necessary) and brackets; finger tighten only. 5. Tighten all bolts to 19 foot pounds. 6. Repeat steps 1-5 on the driver side. 7. Cut step plates to approximately 36-1/2" length using a hacksaw or band saw. 8. Install three square head screws in the front and rear track of the step plates. 9. Reinstall end cap and bolt it down. 10. Position the step on the brackets and tighten to 19 foot pounds.
Only if your vehicle does not have pre-drilled holes in the pinch weld. If holes are not present, make sure the brackets are tight against the body panels, use the hole in the brackets as a guide, and drill an 11/32" diameter hole through the pinch weld at each bracket location.
Yes. The O-MEGA step plates (Model #585054) must be cut down to approximately 36-1/2" length for this application. Remove the end cap from the unbolted end, then use a hacksaw or band saw to cut the step plates to the proper length. This is a permanent modification.
The serrated nuts (Item #5) on the end caps must be tightened to 5 lb ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) installed on the square head screws (Item #4) must be tightened to 19 lb ft.
All bolts on the Model 570121 must be tightened to 19 foot pounds of torque. This includes the bolts that go through the pinch weld and the bolts that go into the U-nuts on the mounting brackets, as well as the step plate mounting bolts.
Five Phillips head TEK screws (Item #6, #8-18 x 1/2", stainless steel, bright zinc plated) are used per step pad. Pilot holes of 1/8" diameter are drilled first using the holes in the step pad as a guide.
The aluminum extrusions are 33.00" in length and feature an O-MEGA profile. They are available in silver (Part #553068) or black (Part #553056).
The step pads are 4-1/2" x 20" (Part #107957).
The O-MEGA step assembly (Model #585054) is 54.00" in original length and must be cut to approximately 36-1/2" for installation on 2001 and newer Ford Cut-A-Way Vans.
Position the step so that the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Then install the serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to the specified torque (5 lb ft for Models 583036/584036 end caps, 19 lb ft for step plate mounting bolts on Model 570121).
The square head screws (Item #4 for Models 583036/584036, Item #9 for Model 570121) are installed in the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates or in the front and rear track of the step plates. These screws are then positioned in the slots of the mounting brackets to secure the step assembly to the vehicle.
The multi-thread U-nuts are installed in the rectangular and round holes in the inside quarter panel of the vehicle. Short U-nuts (Item #11) are installed at the first hole from the front, and long U-nuts (Item #12) are installed at the second set of holes from the front. The mounting bracket bolts are then threaded into these U-nuts to secure the brackets to the vehicle.
The Model 570121 is designed for 2001 and newer Ford Cut-A-Way Vans only. Models 583036 and 584036 fit vehicles specified by the bracket package you select; consult the bracket package instructions for fitment.
You need a drill with 1/8" and 11/32" bits, a hacksaw or band saw (for Model 570121), and a torque wrench. All fasteners must be tightened to specific torque values: 5 lb ft for end cap nuts (Models 583036/584036) and 19 lb ft or 19 foot pounds for all other fasteners.
