Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ford F150 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The MEGA Steps Bracket model 570922 is designed for 2009 and newer Ford F-150 Super Cab and SuperCrew pickups only. If you have a different cab style or model year, you will need a different bracket package. Consult the bracket package instructions for your specific vehicle.
The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps (models 583072, 583078, 583088, 584072, 584078, 584088) are universal application steps. However, the step pad positioning varies by vehicle. The manual provides a location guide for Silverado/Sierra, Colorado/Canyon, Avalanche/Suburban/Yukon XL, Tahoe/Yukon, RAM, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Durango, Ford F150, Ford Super Duty, Toyota Tundra, and Toyota Tacoma. For other vehicles, pad locations may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Each O-MEGA II package includes: 2 step extrusions (available in silver or black, in three lengths: 69.0", 75.0", or 85.0"), 4 aluminum step pads, 4 plastic end caps, 24 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 24 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 20 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2") for pad attachment. The specific extrusion length depends on your model number.
The MEGA Steps Bracket package (model 570922) includes: 6 mounting brackets, 6 square head screws (5/16-18), 22 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), 6 multi-thread U-nuts (5/16-18), 8 zinc-plated hex head cap screws (5/16 x 1.00"), 8 zinc-plated flat washers (5/16), 6 black-plated hex head cap screws (5/16 x 1.00"), 6 black-plated flat washers (5/16), and 2 angle brackets (SuperCrew only). The MEGA step board assembly is sold separately.
The manual specifies that you will need a drill with a 1/8" drill bit to drill holes for the step pad attachment. A wrench or socket set is required to tighten the nuts and bolts to the specified torque values (5 lb ft for end cap nuts, 19 lb ft for flange nuts on square head screws). The manual does not specify other tools required for bracket installation; refer to the instructions included with your specific bracket package.
You will need a wrench or socket set to tighten fasteners to 19 lb ft. The manual does not specify other tools required for installation. No drilling is required for bracket attachment to the vehicle, as existing mounting hole patterns are used.
Yes. Before attaching the step pads to the step plates, you must drill 5 holes of 1/8" diameter using the step pad as a guide. These holes are used to attach the step pads with tek screws. Drilling is required for each step pad installation.
No. The MEGA Steps Bracket uses existing mounting hole patterns located on the pinch weld and interior wall of the rocker panel. No drilling is required.
Install 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts (item #5) in the top rear holes of the front and center bracket patterns and in the top front hole of the rear pattern. The threads must face the inside of the rocker panel. Insert the threaded half of the U-nut through the large access holes and slide it towards the round hole until it seats. This is critical for proper bracket attachment.
Follow this sequence: 1) Install step pads on the step plates by drilling 5 holes of 1/8" and attaching with tek screws. 2) Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 3) Install end caps and tighten nuts to 5 lb ft. 4) Position the step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. 5) Install and tighten serrated flange nuts to 19 lb ft.
Follow this sequence: 1) Install 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts in the specified rocker panel holes with threads facing inward. 2) Position the three mounting brackets on the vehicle. 3) Attach the top of each bracket with a zinc-plated hex head cap screw and flat washer to the U-nut. 4) Attach the bottom of each bracket to the pinch weld with a black-plated hex head cap screw, flat washer, and serrated flange nut. 5) Level the brackets and tighten all fasteners to 19 lb ft. 6) Insert three square head screws in the center slot on the underside of the step. 7) Position the step on the brackets with screws in the slots, centered front to rear. 8) Install and tighten serrated flange nuts to 19 lb ft. 9) Install and tighten serrated flange nuts on any unused square head screws in the inboard slot to 19 lb ft.
6) For the middle bracket, attach an angle bracket (item #10) with a zinc-plated hex head cap screw, flat washer, and serrated flange nut, with the angle towards the U-nut in the offset hole. 7) Insert three square head screws in the center slot on the underside of the step. 8) Position the step on the brackets with screws in the slots, centered front to rear. 9) Install and tighten serrated flange nuts to 19 lb ft. 10) Install and tighten serrated flange nuts on any unused square head screws in the inboard slot to 19 lb ft.
The nuts on the end caps (item #3) must be tightened to 5 lb ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws (item #4) must be tightened to 19 lb ft.
All fasteners on the MEGA Steps Bracket must be tightened to 19 lb ft. This includes the hex head cap screws attaching the brackets to the vehicle and the serrated flange nuts on the square head screws attaching the step to the brackets.
Step pad positioning varies by vehicle. The manual provides a location guide on sheet 2 with specific measurements for Pad A and Pad B for each vehicle model (Silverado/Sierra, Colorado/Canyon, Avalanche/Suburban/Yukon XL, Tahoe/Yukon, RAM, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Durango, Ford F150, Ford Super Duty, Toyota Tundra, and Toyota Tacoma). These locations are suggestions only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Position the step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Then install the 5/16" serrated flange nuts and tighten to 19 lb ft.
Position the step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the cab. You can then locate the step in and out as desired. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb ft. Also install serrated flange nuts on any unused square head screws in the inboard slot and tighten to 19 lb ft.
Step pads are attached using 5 tek screws per pad. The screws are #8-18 x 1/2" stainless steel, zinc-plated (item #6). The holes for these screws are drilled through the step pad into the step plate using a 1/8" drill bit.
The steps are attached to the mounting brackets using 5/16" square head screws (item #4) that fit into the slots of the mounting brackets. These screws are secured with 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5), tightened to 19 lb ft. The square head bolts are installed into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates before the step is positioned on the brackets.
The brackets are attached to the vehicle using: (1) 5/16" x 1.00" zinc-plated hex head cap screws (item #6) with 5/16" zinc-plated flat washers (item #7) to attach the top of the bracket to the U-nut in the rocker panel, and (2) 5/16" x 1.00" black-plated hex head cap screws (item #8) with 5/16" black-plated flat washers (item #9) and 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #4) to attach the bottom of the bracket to the pinch weld. All fasteners are tightened to 19 lb ft.
The step is attached to the brackets using 5/16" square head screws (item #3) that fit into the slots of the mounting brackets. Three screws are inserted in the center slot on the underside of the step. These screws are secured with 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #4), tightened to 19 lb ft. Any unused square head screws in the inboard slot are also secured with serrated flange nuts and tightened to 19 lb ft.
