Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide s afe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ford F150 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps (models 583072, 583078, 583088, 584072, 584078, 584088) are universal application steps available in silver or black aluminum. They are designed to work with vehicle-specific bracket packages. The manual provides step pad positioning guidance for Silverado/Sierra, Colorado/Canyon, Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, RAM, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Durango, Ford F150, Ford Super Duty, Toyota Tundra, and Toyota Tacoma models. You must use the bracket package designed for your specific vehicle.
Model 570922 MEGA Steps Brackets are designed specifically for 2009 and newer Ford F-150 Super Cab and SuperCrew pickups only. If you have a different Ford model, a different year F-150, or a non-Ford vehicle, you will need a different bracket package. Consult the bracket package instructions for your specific vehicle.
Step pad position varies by vehicle model and cab style. The manual provides a positioning guide on sheet 2 with measurements for Pad A and Pad B locations for each vehicle. For example, Silverado/Sierra Double Cab uses 14-3/4" for Pad A and 46-3/4" for Pad B, while Ford F150 Super Cab uses 18-1/4" for Pad A and 46-1/4" for Pad B. These locations are suggestions only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. Consult the step pad location guide table for your specific vehicle model and cab style.
Each O-MEGA II step kit includes: 2 aluminum extrusions (available in 69.0", 75.0", or 85.0" lengths, silver or black), 4 aluminum step pads, 4 plastic end caps, 24 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 24 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 20 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). Verify all parts are on hand before starting installation.
The MEGA Steps Bracket kit (570922) includes: 6 mounting brackets, 6 square head screws (5/16-18 UNC), 22 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18 UNC), 6 multi-thread U-nuts (5/16-18 UNC), 8 zinc-plated hex head cap screws (5/16 x 1.00"), 8 zinc-plated flat washers (5/16), 6 black-plated hex head cap screws (5/16 x 1.00"), 6 black-plated flat washers (5/16), and 2 angle brackets (SuperCrew only). The step board assembly is sold separately. Verify all parts are on hand before starting installation.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the service parts list are on hand. Then follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package designed for your vehicle. Do not begin attaching steps to brackets until you have confirmed you have the correct bracket package and all parts.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the service parts list are on hand. The step board assembly is sold separately and must be obtained. Confirm your vehicle is a 2009 or newer Ford F-150 Super Cab or SuperCrew. Do not begin installation until you have all parts and have confirmed your vehicle compatibility.
Position the step pads (item #2) on top of the step plates according to the step pad location guide for your vehicle. Using the step pad as a guide, drill 5 holes of 1/8" diameter through the step pad into the step plate. Attach each pad with 5 of the 8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (item #6) provided. Repeat this process for all step pads.
Install the end caps (item #3) as shown in figure 1 on the step assembly. Tighten the nuts securing the end caps to 5 lb-ft of torque.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Install 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts (item #5) in the top rear holes of the front and center bracket patterns and in the top front hole of the rear pattern. The threads must face the inside of the rocker panel. Insert the threaded half of the U-nut through the large access holes and slide it towards the round hole until it seats. This must be done before attaching the mounting brackets.
Position the 3 brackets on the vehicle so the top hole lines up with the multi-thread U-nut and the offset hole lines up with the hole in the pinch weld. Attach the top of each bracket with a 5/16" x 1.00" zinc-plated hex head cap screw (item #6) and 5/16" zinc-plated flat washer (item #7). Attach the bottom to the pinch weld with a 5/16" x 1.00" black-plated hex head cap screw (item #8), 5/16" black-plated flat washer (item #9), and 5/16" serrated flange nut (item #4). Level the brackets and tighten all fasteners to 19 lb-ft.
Attach the angle bracket (item #10) to the middle mounting bracket (item #2) with a 5/16" x 1.00" zinc-plated hex head cap screw (item #6), 5/16" zinc-plated flat washer (item #7), and 5/16" serrated flange nut (item #4). Position the angle towards the multi-thread U-nut in the hole offset from the pinch weld hole. Then repeat the bracket attachment procedure from step 3.1 using the angle bracket.
Insert three 5/16" square head screws (item #3) in the center slot on the underside of the step. Position the step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws are located in the slots and the step is centered front to rear on the cab. Locate the step in and out as desired, then install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #4) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft. Install 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts on any unused square head screws in the inboard slot and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
The nuts securing the end caps (item #3) on the O-MEGA II steps must be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws (item #4) that attach the O-MEGA II step to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
All fasteners attaching the mounting brackets to the vehicle must be tightened to 19 lb-ft. This includes the top bracket fasteners (5/16" x 1.00" hex head cap screws with washers) and the bottom pinch weld fasteners (5/16" x 1.00" hex head cap screws with washers and serrated flange nuts). The square head screws attaching the step to the brackets must also be tightened to 19 lb-ft, as must any unused square head screws in the inboard slot.
Drill 5 holes of 1/8" diameter through each step pad into the step plate. Use the step pad as a guide for hole placement.
Yes. You must drill 5 holes of 1/8" diameter through each step pad into the step plate using the step pad as a guide. The pads are then attached with 8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (item #6).
No drilling is required. The MEGA Steps Bracket uses existing mounting hole patterns located on the pinch weld and interior wall of the rocker panel. These existing holes must be used for installation.
