Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature toug h aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ford F150 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps (models 583072, 583078, 583088, 584072, 584078, 584088) are universal application running boards. They are available in silver or black aluminum extrusions. Installation requires a specific bracket package (sold separately) whose instructions must be followed for your particular vehicle. The manual does not specify which model number corresponds to which vehicle or step length.
The MEGA STEPS model 570922 is designed specifically for 2009 and newer Ford F-150 Super Cab and SuperCrew pickups only. It will not fit other vehicles or earlier F-150 models. The brackets use existing factory mounting hole patterns on the pinch weld and rocker panel.
Step pad locations vary by vehicle model and cab style. The manual provides a positioning guide table on Sheet 2 with measurements for Pad A and Pad B for each vehicle, including Silverado, Sierra, Colorado, Canyon, Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, Ram, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Durango, Ford F-150, Ford Super Duty, Toyota Tundra, and Toyota Tacoma models. However, these locations are suggestions only and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
The O-MEGA II kit includes: (2) aluminum extrusions (silver or black, length varies by model), (4) step pads, (4) plastic end caps, (24) 5/16-18 square head screws, (24) 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts, and (20) #8-18 x 1/2" stainless steel tek screws. The specific bracket package is sold separately and includes its own hardware.
The MEGA STEPS kit includes: (6) mounting brackets, (6) 5/16-18 square head screws, (22) 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts, (6) 5/16-18 multi-thread U-nuts, (8) 5/16-18 x 1.00" zinc-plated hex head cap screws, (8) 5/16" zinc-plated flat washers, (6) 5/16-18 x 1.00" black-plated hex head cap screws, (6) 5/16" black-plated flat washers, and (2) angle brackets (SuperCrew only). The step board assembly is sold separately.
The manual requires a 1/8" drill bit to drill holes for the step pad attachment. A wrench or socket set is needed to tighten fasteners to the specified torque values (5 lb-ft for end cap nuts, 19 lb-ft for flange nuts on square head screws). The manual does not specify other tools required.
A wrench or socket set is needed to tighten fasteners to 19 lb-ft. The manual does not specify other tools required for bracket installation or U-nut insertion.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting. You will also need to obtain and follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package for your vehicle, as bracket installation is a separate process.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting. Inspect the vehicle's rocker panel for the existing mounting hole patterns on the pinch weld and interior wall, as these factory holes must be used for this installation.
Position the step pads (item #2) on top of the step plates using the location guide table on Sheet 2 for your vehicle model as a reference. Using the step pad as a guide, drill (5) 1/8" holes through the step pad and step plate. Attach the pad with (5) 8-18 x 1/2" stainless steel tek screws (item #6). Repeat for all step pads. The pad locations are suggestions only and may be adjusted at your discretion.
Install the plastic end caps (item #3) as shown in Figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 lb-ft. The manual does not provide additional detail on end cap positioning or assembly.
Install the required number of square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Install 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts (item #5) in the top rear holes of the front and center bracket patterns and in the top front hole of the rear pattern. The threads must face toward the inside of the rocker panel. Insert the threaded half of the U-nut through the large access holes in the rocker panel and slide the U-nut toward the round hole until it seats. This must be done before attaching the mounting brackets.
Position the (3) brackets on the vehicle so that the top hole lines up with the multi-thread U-nut and the hole in the offset lines up with the hole in the pinch weld. Attach the top of the bracket with a 5/16" x 1.00" zinc-plated hex head cap screw (item #6) and 5/16" zinc-plated flat washer (item #7). Attach the bottom of the bracket to the pinch weld with a 5/16" x 1.00" black-plated hex head cap screw (item #8), 5/16" black-plated flat washer (item #9), and 5/16" serrated flange nut (item #4). Level the brackets and tighten all fasteners to 19 lb-ft.
Attach the angle bracket (item #10) to the mounting bracket (item #2) with a 5/16" x 1.00" zinc-plated hex head cap screw (item #6) and 5/16" zinc-plated flat washer (item #7), and a 5/16" serrated flange nut (item #4). Position the angle toward the multi-thread U-nut in the hole that is offset from the pinch weld hole. Then follow the same procedure as instruction 3.1 using the angle bracket.
Insert three (3) 5/16" square head screws (item #3) in the center slot on the underside of the step. Position the step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the cab. Locate the step in and out as desired, then install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #4) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft. Install 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts on any unused square head screws in the inboard slot of the step and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Yes. You must drill (5) 1/8" holes through the step pads and step plates to attach the step pads. Use the step pad as a guide for hole placement. The holes are drilled after the step pads are positioned on the step plates.
No drilling is required for the MEGA STEPS installation. The brackets use existing factory mounting hole patterns on the pinch weld and rocker panel.
End cap nuts must be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws (item #5) must be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
All fasteners on the MEGA STEPS must be tightened to 19 lb-ft. This includes the bracket attachment fasteners (instruction 3.1) and the step attachment fasteners (instruction 5.3 and 5.4).
The step pads are attached with (5) #8-18 x 1/2" stainless steel tek screws (item #6). These screws are driven through 1/8" holes drilled in the step pad and step plate. The manual does not specify a torque value for these tek screws.
The MEGA STEPS use 5/16-18 UNC square head screws (item #3). Three screws are inserted in the center slot on the underside of the step and secured with 5/16" serrated flange nuts tightened to 19 lb-ft. Additional screws in the inboard slot are also secured with serrated flange nuts tightened to 19 lb-ft.
Two types of hex head cap screws are used: (8) 5/16-18 UNC x 1.00" zinc-plated screws (item #6) for the top bracket attachment, and (6) 5/16-18 UNC x 1.00" black-plated stainless steel screws (item #8) for the bottom bracket attachment to the pinch weld. All are tightened to 19 lb-ft.
Two types of flat washers are used: (8) 5/16" zinc-plated washers (item #7) with .375 ID x .875 OD x .083 thickness for the top bracket attachment, and (6) 5/16" black-plated stainless steel washers (item #9) with .375 ID x .875 OD x .083 thickness for the bottom bracket attachment.
The MEGA STEPS use (6) 5/16-18 UNC multi-thread U-nuts (item #5) in black steel. These are installed in the factory mounting holes on the rocker panel with threads facing toward the inside of the panel, before bracket attachment.
The MEGA STEPS use (22) 5/16-18 UNC serrated flange nuts in stainless steel (item #4). These are used throughout the installation: to secure the U-nuts, to attach the angle bracket, and to secure the square head screws on the step. All are tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The O-MEGA II steps are universal application and require a specific bracket package (sold separately) for your vehicle. The manual does not specify which model number corresponds to which vehicle. Consult the bracket package instructions for fitment details.
