LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel steps are the perfect side steps for offroad trucks and work trucks alike. They feature an aggressive look, highly functional step pads, a non-corrosive construction and a vehicle-specific fit. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are truly modern side steps for modern trucks. With their oval-shaped board profile, rounded end caps and angular step pads, they provide an aggressive look. The step pads also feature a unique cutout pattern and raised circular treads for an unmistakable accent. O-Mega II side steps are not only built for style, but they offer superior safety every time you climb into the cab. The step pads are made from aluminum to outlast the harsh elements and ensure maximum traction and wear resistance for the raised treads. These wheel-to-wheel steps are extra-long and are equipped with additional step pads toward the rear, giving you a solid and convenient step for reach into the truck bed. They?re perfect for accessing a truck tool box, headache rack, 5th wheel hitch or cargo in the truck bed. To ensure that LUVERNE O-Mega II oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are able to withstand anything the road or trail throws your way, they are constructed from aluminum alloy. Aluminum supplies dependable strength and rigidity, while maintaining unparalleled corrosion resistance and a lightweight design. These side steps and the step pads are also protected in a durable powder coat finish. The boards are available in your choice of carbide black or chrome powder coat. O-Mega II wheel-to-wheel steps are engineered for a fast, easy, secure installation, featuring vehicle-specific brackets for a custom fit. This particular set is designed to fit specific years of the Ford F150 (see application information to verify fitment; brackets included but shipped separately).
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval wheel-to-wheel side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps (models 583072, 583078, 583088, 584072, 584078, 584088) are universal oval step assemblies available in silver or black aluminum. They are designed as a universal application, meaning they can be adapted to many vehicles when paired with the correct vehicle-specific bracket package. The manual provides step pad location guidance for Silverado/Sierra, Colorado/Canyon, Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, RAM, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Durango, Ford F150, Ford Super Duty, Toyota Tundra, and Toyota Tacoma models.
The W2W Mega Step/SES Brackets (model 571529) are designed specifically for 2015 and newer Ford F150 pickups with rocker panel mounting. This is a no-drill application. If you have a regular cab or super cab F150, you will have two unused brackets, but the system will still install. For other vehicle makes and models, you will need the O-MEGA II universal steps with a vehicle-specific bracket package.
The O-MEGA II kit includes: 2 step extrusions (aluminum, 69.0", 75.0", or 85.0" length, silver or black), 4 step pads (aluminum, black), 4 end caps (plastic), 24 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1"), 24 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 20 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). The specific extrusion length depends on your model number. You will also need a vehicle-specific bracket package, which is ordered separately and includes its own installation instructions.
The W2W Mega Step/SES bracket kit includes: 6 mounting brackets (part 552643), 12 nylon isolator washers 1.5" (part 108442), 12 M8-1.25 flange nuts (part 105859), 5 5/16-18 flange nuts (part 106996), 5 5/16-18 x 1" bolts (part 106997), 5 5/16" flat washers (part 106998), 1 rear inboard bracket left-hand (part 552752), 1 rear inboard bracket right-hand (part 552753), 2 rear outboard brackets (part 551721), and 1 rear clamp bracket left-hand (part 552754). The step board assembly itself is ordered separately.
The manual specifies that you will need a 1/8" drill bit to drill five holes through the step pads into the step plates. A wrench or socket set will be needed to tighten the nuts and bolts to the specified torque values (5 LB-FT for end cap nuts and 19 LB-FT for the serrated flange nuts on the square head screws). The manual does not list other special tools, but you will need to follow the separate bracket package instructions, which may require additional tools.
The manual does not specify any special tools required for the W2W installation. You will need standard wrenches or sockets to tighten the M8-1.25 flange nuts on the rocker panel studs, the 5/16-18 flange nuts on the bolts, and the spring shackle bolt to 80 LB-FT. A torque wrench is recommended to achieve the correct torque specification. No drilling, cutting, or welding is required.
The manual does not state whether professional installation is required. It is presented as a do-it-yourself installation with step-by-step instructions. However, you must follow the separate bracket package instructions specific to your vehicle, which may have different requirements. Contact the manufacturer or your installer if you are unsure whether you can complete the installation yourself.
The manual does not state whether professional installation is required. It is presented as a do-it-yourself installation with step-by-step instructions. The installation involves mounting brackets to factory studs, removing a cable guide bracket, and installing bolts to the spring shackle. If you are not comfortable working with vehicle suspension components or torque specifications, professional installation is recommended.
Before attaching the O-MEGA II steps to the brackets, place the step pads (item 2) on top of the step plates. Use the Step Pad Location Guide on sheet 2 to position the pads for your specific vehicle model and cab style. Once positioned, use the step pad as a guide to drill five 1/8" holes through the pad into the step plate. Attach the pad with five 8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (item 6) provided. Repeat this process for all step pads.
The manual provides specific pad location measurements (Pad A and Pad B distances) for the following vehicles: Silverado/Sierra (double, extended, crew cab), Colorado/Canyon (extended, crew cab), Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon XL, Tahoe, Yukon, RAM (quad, crew, mega cab), Dodge Dakota quad cab, Dodge Durango, Ford F150 (super cab, super crew cab), Ford Super Duty (super cab, crew cab), Toyota Tundra (double cab 07+, crewmax 07+), and Toyota Tacoma (access cab, double cab). Refer to the Step Pad Location Guide table on sheet 2 for your specific model. Note: these locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item 4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item 5) on the square head screws (item 4) and tighten to 19 LB-FT. Before this, you must install the required number of square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates (step 4), and install the end caps (item 3) tightened to 5 LB-FT (step 5).
On the left side of the vehicle, install two 1.5" isolator washers (item 3), the step mounting bracket (item 2), and two M8-1.25 flange nuts (item 4) on the factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel. Repeat for the remaining brackets on the right side. Check that all brackets are level and tighten all flange nuts. Then follow the separate step board assembly instructions to attach the step board to the mounting brackets.
The cable guide bracket is attached to the leaf spring shackle on the left (driver) side of the vehicle. For the W2W Mega Step installation, you must remove this bracket from the leaf spring shackle. The cable guide bracket will no longer be needed and may be removed if desired. This step is only necessary on the left side of the vehicle.
Remove the nut on the spring shackle bolt. Install the rear inboard bracket (item 8 for left side, item 9 for right side) onto the spring shackle bolt. Make sure the inboard bracket is vertical and tighten to 80 LB-FT. This bracket is installed on both the left and right sides of the vehicle.
Using two 5/16-18 x 1" bolts (item 6), two 5/16" flat washers (item 7), and two 5/16-18 flange nuts (item 5), install the outboard bracket (item 10) as shown in the manual figure. Leave this bracket loose at this time. After attaching the step board to the mounting brackets, adjust the rear outboard bracket for your step assembly and tighten the bolts securing the outboard bracket to the inboard bracket.
Using a 5/16-18 x 1" bolt (item 6), a 5/16" flat washer (item 7), and a 5/16-18 flange nut (item 5), install the rear clamp bracket (item 11) over the cables from the cable guide bracket removal (step 5) onto the rear inboard bracket. This bracket is installed on the left side only.
Yes, drilling is required. You must drill five 1/8" holes through each step pad into the step plate using the step pad as a guide. These holes are used to attach the step pads with 8-18 x 1/2" tek screws. This drilling is done after positioning the step pads according to the Step Pad Location Guide for your vehicle.
No, the W2W Mega Step is a no-drill application. All mounting uses factory-provided studs on the rocker panel and the spring shackle bolt. No drilling, cutting, grinding, or welding is required.
The end caps (item 3) must be tightened to 5 LB-FT.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item 5) that secure the square head screws (item 4) to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 LB-FT.
The spring shackle bolt, which secures the rear inboard bracket (item 8 or 9), must be tightened to 80 LB-FT.
Read the instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting the installation. You will also need to obtain and follow the separate bracket package instructions specific to your vehicle, as the O-MEGA II is a universal step that requires a vehicle-specific bracket package.
Read the instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting the installation. If you are installing on a regular cab or super cab F150, note that there will be two unused brackets. Ensure you have access to the factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel and the spring shackle bolt before beginning.
After installing all brackets on both sides of the vehicle, check that all brackets are level before tightening the flange nuts. After attaching the step board and adjusting the rear outboard bracket, ensure all bolts are tightened securely. Verify that the step is stable and properly aligned before use.
