Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500 HD, 3500 HD or Tahoe and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD, 3500 HD or Yukon (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps are available in six models: 583072, 583078, 583088, 584072, 584078, and 584088. These are universal application steps available in silver or black aluminum extrusions in three different lengths (69.0", 75.0", and 85.0").
The MEGA Steps (Model 570713) are designed for: 2007+ GM Silverado & Sierra Crew Cab pickups, 2007+ GM Tahoe & Suburban without factory side steps, 2007 Chevy Avalanche without factory side steps, and 2007+ GM Silverado & Sierra Extended Cab. They are not compatible with vehicles that have factory side steps already installed.
The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps are universal application. However, step pad positioning varies by vehicle model and cab style. A positioning guide is provided in the manual for common vehicles including Silverado, Sierra, Colorado, Canyon, Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon, RAM, Dodge Dakota, Durango, Ford F-150, Ford Super Duty, Toyota Tundra, and Toyota Tacoma. Pad locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Each O-MEGA II kit includes: 2 aluminum step extrusions (69.0", 75.0", or 85.0" depending on model), 4 aluminum step pads, 4 plastic end caps, 24 square head bolts (5/16-18 x 1"), 24 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 20 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). The specific bracket package is sold separately and includes its own instructions.
The MEGA Steps kit includes: 1 step assembly (78.00" or 88.00" depending on vehicle), 6 nylon spacer washers, 12 M8 x 30 x 1.25 screws, 14 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), 6 square head screws (5/16-18 x 1.00"), 6 mounting brackets, 12 standard flat washers (5/16"), 6 M8 flanged nuts, 6 5/16" x 1.00" screws, 6 U-nuts (5/16-18), and 6 pinch weld support brackets.
The manual does not specify required tools. However, based on the installation process, you will need a drill with a 1/8" bit for drilling step pad mounting holes, a wrench or socket set for tightening bolts and nuts, and a torque wrench capable of measuring to 5 and 19 lb-ft. You should also have the specific bracket package instructions, which include additional tool requirements for bracket installation.
Yes. The manual states: "FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED WITH THE SPECIFIC BRACKET PACKAGE THAT YOU ARE USING, TO MOUNT THE BRACKETS TO YOUR VEHICLE." The bracket package instructions are separate from the step installation instructions and must be followed first before attaching the steps to the brackets.
Yes. The manual explicitly states: "READ INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY AND CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL REQUIRED PARTS (LISTED ON THE SERVICE PARTS LIST) ARE ON HAND BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION." This applies to both the O-MEGA II and MEGA Steps installations.
Yes. Drilling is required to attach the step pads to the step plates. You must drill five (5) 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide, then attach each pad with five (5) 8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (Item #6). This drilling must be completed before attaching the steps to the mounting brackets.
Before attaching the step pads (Item #2) to the step plates, use the Step Pad Location Guide on Sheet #2 to determine the correct position for your specific vehicle model and cab style. The guide provides measurements for Pad A and Pad B positions. Note that these locations are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion. Once positioned, drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide and attach with five 8-18 x 1/2" tek screws.
The installation sequence is: 1) Install the bracket package following its separate instructions. 2) Place step pads on the step plates using the positioning guide for your vehicle. 3) Drill five 1/8" holes per pad and attach with tek screws. 4) Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 5) Install end caps and tighten nuts to 5 lb-ft. 6) Position the step on the mounting brackets with square head screws in the bracket slots, centered front to rear. 7) Install serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Install the end caps (Item #3) as shown in Figure 1 of the manual. Tighten the nuts to 5 lb-ft. The end caps are plastic components (part number 107956) that are installed after the step pads and tek screws are in place but before mounting the steps to the brackets.
Position the step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (Item #4) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Then install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
The installation sequence is: 1) Attach the top of the mounting brackets to the vehicle using the appropriate fastener (U-nut, bolt, or flanged nut as specified for your vehicle application). 2) Insert a nylon washer between the bracket and rocker panel, then install the screw, washer, and nut. Place the pinch weld support bracket above the pinch weld area. Tighten to 19 lb-ft. Ensure the distance between the front bracket and second bracket is 24 inches. 3) Insert three 5/16" square head screws in the center slot on the underside of the step. 4) Position the step on the mounting brackets with square head screws in the bracket slots, centered front to rear. 5) Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
The distance between the front bracket and the second bracket must be 24 inches. This spacing is critical for proper step alignment and support on the vehicle.
Place the pinch weld support bracket (Item #11) above the pinch weld area on each mounting bracket. This is done during the bracket attachment step when installing the screw, washer, and nut that secures the top of the mounting bracket to the vehicle. The pinch weld support bracket provides additional structural support at this critical junction.
The nuts on the end caps (Item #3) should be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #5) that secure the square head screws (Item #4) to the mounting brackets should be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The M8 x 30 x 1.25 screws (Item #3) that attach the top of the mounting brackets to the vehicle should be tightened to 19 lb-ft. The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (Item #4) that secure the square head screws to the mounting brackets should also be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The O-MEGA II steps are mounted to the brackets using 5/16-18 square head bolts (Item #4, part number 106880) inserted into the slots on the bottom of the step plates. These bolts are secured with 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts (Item #5, part number 102680) tightened to 19 lb-ft. A total of 24 bolts and 24 nuts are provided in the kit.
Step pads are attached using five (5) 8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (Item #6, part number 107958) per pad. These screws are inserted through pre-drilled 1/8" holes in the step pad and into the step plate. A total of 20 tek screws are provided in the kit (sufficient for 4 step pads).
The MEGA Steps are mounted to the vehicle using M8 x 30 x 1.25 screws (Item #3, part number 100180) with nylon spacer washers (Item #2) and standard flat washers (Item #7). The fastener configuration varies by vehicle: some use M8 flanged nuts (Item #8), others use 5/16" x 1.00" screws (Item #9) with U-nuts (Item #10). Refer to the vehicle-specific drawing included with your kit to determine which fasteners apply to your vehicle. All mounting bolts should be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
Drill five (5) 1/8" holes per step pad using the step pad as a guide. These holes are used to attach the step pads to the step plates with 8-18 x 1/2" tek screws.
The O-MEGA II steps are available in three lengths: 69.0", 75.0", and 85.0". The steps are 6" oval extrusions. Specific models are: 583072/584072 (69.0"), 583078/584078 (75.0"), and 583088/584088 (85.0"). Available in silver or black aluminum.
The MEGA Steps are available in two lengths: 78.00" (Model 575078, for Tahoe and Extended Cab) and 88.00" (Model 575088, for Suburban and Crew Cab).
The O-MEGA II is a universal application step available in three lengths (69.0", 75.0", 85.0"). Fitment depends on the bracket package you select for your specific vehicle. Step pad positioning varies by vehicle model and cab style; refer to the Step Pad Location Guide in the manual for your vehicle.
The MEGA Steps fit 2007+ GM Silverado & Sierra Crew Cab, 2007+ Tahoe & Suburban without factory side steps, 2007 Chevy Avalanche without factory side steps, and 2007+ Silverado & Sierra Extended Cab. They are not compatible with vehicles that have factory side steps already installed.
Each kit includes 2 aluminum step extrusions, 4 step pads, 4 end caps, 24 square head bolts (5/16-18 x 1"), 24 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 20 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). The bracket package is sold separately.
