Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500 HD or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD or 3500 HD (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.

Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.

The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps are listed as a universal application. However, step pad positioning varies by vehicle model. The manual provides a step pad location guide for specific vehicles including Silverado, Sierra, Colorado, Canyon, Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, Ram, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Durango, Ford F150, Ford Super Duty, Toyota Tundra, and Toyota Tacoma. If your vehicle is not listed, pad locations may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
The O-MEGA II steps include: 24 square head bolts (5/16-18 x 1"), 24 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 20 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2", stainless steel, zinc plated). The steps also come with 4 aluminum step pads and 4 plastic end caps.
The Mega Step Brackets include: 12 5/16" flat washers, 6 5/16"-18 x 1.00" hex bolts (zinc plated), 6 M8-1.25 serrated flange nuts (zinc plated), 6 5/16"-18 U-nuts, 6 pinch weld support brackets, and 10 M8-1.25 x 30 mm hex bolts (zinc plated). The brackets are designed as a no-drill application.
Yes. The O-MEGA II steps require a specific bracket package for your vehicle. You must follow the instructions included with your bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle before attaching the step plates. Before attaching the O-MEGA II steps to the brackets, place the step pads on top of the step plates. Use the step pad location guide on sheet 2 to position the pads for your particular vehicle. The guide provides specific measurements for Pad A and Pad B locations for each vehicle model. If your vehicle is not listed, pads may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
1. Mount the brackets to your vehicle using the bracket package instructions. 2. Position and attach the step pads to the step plates using five 1/8" holes and tek screws. 3. Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 4. Install end caps and tighten the nuts to 5 lb-ft. 5. Position the step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. 6. Install serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
1. Remove plastic body plugs from the vertical wall of the rocker panel on the left side and insert a 5/16"-18 U-nut. If there are threaded inserts in the upper location, use M8-1.25 x 30 mm bolts instead. 2. Position the mounting brackets so holes line up with the rocker panel inside wall. Install a 5/16"-18 x 1.0" hex bolt and flat washer finger tight. 3. Install an M8-1.25 x 30 mm hex bolt, flat washer, and pinch weld support through the hole and install an M8-1.25 nut finger tight on the back. 4. Repeat for remaining brackets. 5. Install the step board per its instructions. 6. Press the step down and back, then tighten mounting bolts to 19 lb-ft, starting with bottom bolts followed by top bolts. 7. Repeat for the right side.
The end cap nuts should be tightened to 5 lb-ft.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws should be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
