Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent pro tection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ford E150, E150 Econoline, E250, E250 Econoline and E350 Super Duty (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The manual requires a drill with a 1/8" bit to drill holes for attaching step pads. A torque wrench is needed to tighten fasteners to specification (5 LB FT for end caps, 19 LB FT for main fasteners). The manual does not specify other tools required for bracket installation; refer to the separate bracket package instructions for additional tool requirements.
A drill with Ø11/32" and Ø17/64" bits is required to drill holes through the pinch weld and body panel. A torque wrench is needed to tighten all bolts to 19 foot pounds. A clamp is recommended to hold the rear mounting brackets in position while drilling. The manual does not specify other general tools.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the service parts list are on hand before starting. Follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package you are using to mount the brackets to your vehicle. Consult the step pad location guide on sheet 2 to determine the correct pad positions for your vehicle model.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the service parts list are on hand. On the passenger side of the vehicle, locate and remove the tape covering the mounting holes in the inside quarter panel (five locations). These holes are pre-drilled and will receive the multi-thread U-nuts in the next step.
Using the step pad location guide on sheet 2, position the step pads on top of the step plates at the correct distances for your vehicle. Drill five 1/8" holes using the step pad as a guide. Attach each pad with five 8-18 X 1/2" TEK screws (item 107958). For short boxes, mount the box step pad first approximately 1/2" from the end cap, then mount the middle step pad accordingly. Repeat for all step pads.
Install the end caps (item 107956) as shown in figure 1, tightening the nuts to 5 LB FT. The end caps are installed after the step pads are attached but before the step is mounted to the brackets.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item 104) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item 105) on the square head screws (item 104) and tighten to 19 LB FT.
1. Remove tape covering mounting holes in the inside quarter panel (passenger side, five locations). 2. Install short multi-thread U-nuts (item 11) in holes 1, 3, 4, 5 from the front; install long U-nut (item 12) in hole 2. 3. Install front mounting brackets (items 2, 4, 6, 7) using hex bolts, flat washers, and lock washers; finger-tighten. 4. Install bolts through lower pinch weld and brackets; finger-tighten. 5. Tighten front bracket bolts at pinch weld. 6. Install five square head screws in front track of step plates (four in back channel). 7. Position step on brackets with square head screws in slots; finger-tighten serrated flange nuts. 8. Align step plate with body sheet metal and tighten step-to-frame bolts to 19 foot pounds. 9. Tighten body mounting bolts to 19 foot pounds. 10. Mount front two brackets on driver's side. 11-13. Mount rear brackets on step plate and clamp to pinch weld. 14. Drill Ø11/32" holes through pinch weld using bracket holes as guide. 15. Fasten rear brackets to pinch weld with hex bolts, flat washers, and serrated flange nuts; finger-tighten. 16. Drill Ø17/64" holes through body panel and install washer head screws with flat and lock washers. 17. Tighten all bolts to 19 foot pounds.
Yes. Drilling is required only for attaching the step pads to the step plates. You must drill five 1/8" holes per step pad using the pad as a guide. No drilling of the vehicle is required for the O-MEGA II; the bracket mounting method depends on the specific bracket package instructions, which are provided separately.
Yes. Two drilling operations are required on the vehicle. First, drill Ø11/32" holes through the center of the pinch weld using the bracket holes as a guide (step 14). Second, drill Ø17/64" holes through the inside body panel using the top holes in the bracket as a guide (step 16). These holes are necessary to fasten the rear mounting brackets to the vehicle.
End cap nuts must be tightened to 5 LB FT.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws (item 104) must be tightened to 19 LB FT.
All bolts on the MEGA STEPS must be tightened to 19 foot pounds of torque. This includes the bolts from the step plate to the frame (step 8), body mounting bolts (step 9), and all remaining bolts after final assembly (step 17). Bolts must be finger-tightened initially during assembly, then final-tightened to 19 foot pounds.
Step pads are attached using five 8-18 X 1/2" TEK screws (item 107958) per pad. Holes are drilled 1/8" diameter using the step pad as a guide.
Mounting brackets are fastened using 5/16-18 X 1" hex bolts (item 106997), 5/16" flat washers (item 106998), and either 5/16" lock washers (item 102668) for body panel mounting or 5/16" serrated flange nuts (items 102680 or 106996) for pinch weld mounting. Square head screws 5/16-18 X 1" (item 106880) are installed in the step plate tracks. All fasteners must be tightened to 19 foot pounds.
Two hole sizes are required: Ø11/32" holes drilled through the center of the pinch weld (step 14), and Ø17/64" holes drilled through the inside body panel (step 16). Use the bracket holes as a guide for both drilling operations.
