This, combined with the classic styling of popular nerf bars, allows Regal 7 oval side steps to easily live up to their name. Each is set with full-width step pads that offer a non-skid surface for ultimate comfort and safety. They are also capped on each end with contoured end caps, giving them a professional look and added protection against small rocks and road debris. Both the step pads and end caps are factory-installed and securely bolted in place. To make sure these deluxe side steps maintain their classy appearance, we construct them from stainless steel. This gives them the durability to outlast rust through every season of the year, and the strength to be offer reliable footing with every climb. They are available in a high-polish stainless steel finish for a bright, eye-catching shine or a durable black powder coat for a tough, no-nonsense accent. When it comes to our Regal 7 oval side steps, we don't trust anyone else to build them with uncompromising quality. We design each one for a vehicle-specific fit. This particular set of side steps is designed to fit specific years of the Ford F250 Super Duty, F350 Super Duty, F450 Super Duty and F550 Super Duty (see application information to verify vehicle fitment). They install using a 3" wide channel on the bottom side and high-strength steel brackets with a durable black powder coat finish (NOTE: The mounting brackets for these steps are included but shipped separately).

Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.

Three lengths are available: 76" (model 477078), 86" (model 477088), and 96" (model 477098). A black variant is available for the 76" and 86" models (277078 and 277088). Check your vehicle's bed length to select the correct size.
Each step assembly includes 16 pieces of 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts (part 106997), 16 flat washers 5/16" (part 106998), and 16 serrated flange nuts 5/16-18 (part 102680). These attach the step to the support mounting plates and brackets. Additional hardware for step pad installation and end cap assembly is also included.
Yes. The step is pre-assembled from the factory. The serial number label is located on the front inside driver's side step assembly. You only need to attach it to the mounting brackets using the supplied fasteners.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and above each bracket. 3. Using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolt, washer, and serrated flange nut, attach the step assembly, support mounting plate, and mounting bracket. 4. Set the step plate in the correct position and tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT.
Torque all 5/16" fasteners to 19 LB FT. This applies to the hex bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts that attach the step assembly to the support mounting plates and brackets.
No. The GRIP STEP BRACKETS (models 401523 and 401723) are a no-drill application. They mount directly to factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel and to the center body mount bolt location.
On each side of the vehicle, install two 1.5" isolator washers (item #3), the step mounting bracket (item #2), and two M8-1.25 flange nuts (item #4) over the factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel. Repeat for both front and rear brackets on each side. Check that the front and rear brackets are level, then tighten all flange nuts.
Remove the center body mount bolt. Install the center inboard mounting bracket (item #10) in its place, as shown in Figure 1. After assembling the load reaction studs and adjusting the outboard bracket height, tighten the body mount bolt per the manufacturer's specifications.
Using three 3/8"-18 x 1.0" hex bolts (item #5), three 3/8" flat washers (item #6), and three 3/8"-18 flange nuts (item #7), attach the outboard bracket (item #11) to the inboard bracket (item #10). Adjust the height to match your step board, then tighten the bolts.
1. On the short threaded end of the load reaction stud (item #9), install a 3/8" flange nut (item #7) backwards onto the bottom of the thread. 2. Install a 3/8" flat washer (item #6) and rubber cushion washer (item #8) tight against the flange nut. The end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". 3. On the long threaded end, install a 3/8" flange nut (item #7) backwards to near the bottom of the threads.
Install the load reaction stud into the center inboard bracket (item #10) as shown in Figure 1. Adjust the inboard nut so that the rubber cushion washer is snug against the frame of the vehicle. Install a 3/8" flange nut (item #7) on the outboard side of the stud and tighten to 19 LB-FT.
Tighten the 3/8" flange nut on the outboard side of the load reaction stud to 19 LB-FT.
Refer to the instruction sheet included with your step board assembly to mount the step to the brackets. The bracket installation must be completed first, and the step board height should be adjusted to match before final tightening.
Read the instructions completely and verify that all required parts listed on the service parts list are on hand before starting the installation. For GRIP STEP BRACKETS, follow the bracket instructions first, then refer to the step board assembly instructions for final attachment.
