Each is set with full-width step pads that offer a non-skid surface for ultimate comfort and safety. They are also capped on each end with contoured end caps, giving them a professional look and added protection against small rocks and road debris. Both the step pads and end caps are factory-installed and securely bolted in place. To make sure these deluxe side steps maintain their classy appearance, we construct them from stainless steel. This gives them the durability to outlast rust through every season of the year, and the strength to be offer reliable footing with every climb. They are available in a high-polish stainless steel finish for a bright, eye-catching shine or a durable black powder coat for a tough, no-nonsense accent. When it comes to our Regal 7 oval side steps, we don't trust anyone else to build them with uncompromising quality. We design each one for a vehicle-specific fit. This particular set of side steps is designed to fit specific years of the Ford F250 Super Duty, F350 Super Duty, F450 Super Duty and F550 Super Duty (see application information to verify vehicle fitment). They install using a 3" wide channel on the bottom side and high-strength steel brackets with a durable black powder coat finish (NOTE: The mounting brackets for these steps are included but shipped separately).

Curt Manufacturing offers Regal 7 Oval Steps in three sizes: Model 477078 (76"), Model 477088 (86"), and Model 477098 (96"). Black versions are available as Model 277078 (76") and Model 277088 (86"). Each model comes pre-assembled from the factory with the serial number label located on the front inside driver's side step assembly.
The Grip Step Brackets are designed for 2015 and newer Ford F150 pickups and 2017 and newer Ford Super Duty pickups in Supercab and Supercrew configurations. Model 401523 is for F150 applications, and Model 401723 is for Super Duty applications.
No. The Grip Step Brackets are a no-drill application. They mount directly to factory-provided studs on the inside of the rocker panel, eliminating the need for drilling.
Each Regal 7 Oval Step assembly includes 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts (item #10), flat washers (item #11), and serrated flange nuts (item #12). Eight support mounting plates (item #9) are also included. The manual specifies that 16 of each fastener type are provided in the service parts list.
Installation on the rocker panel requires: two 1.5" isolator washers (item #3) and two M8-1.25 flange nuts (item #4) per side, using factory-provided studs. These are installed on both the front and rear brackets on each side of the vehicle.
The center bracket assembly requires: three 3/8"-18 x 1.0" hex bolts (item #5), three 3/8" flat washers (item #6), three 3/8"-18 flange nuts (item #7), two 3/8" rubber cushion washers (item #8), and two 3/8"-16 x 5" double-end studs (item #9). The center inboard bracket (item #10) replaces the factory center body mount bolt.

Separate bracket package instructions must be followed to mount the brackets to your vehicle before attaching the step boards.
Set the step on the mounting brackets and slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and above each bracket. Using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolt, washer, and serrated flange nut, attach the step assembly, support mounting plate, and mounting bracket together. Set the step plate in the correct position before tightening all fasteners.
1. Install two 1.5" isolator washers and the step mounting bracket over factory studs on the inside of the rocker panel on the left side, securing with two M8-1.25 flange nuts. 2. Repeat for the rear bracket on the left side. 3. Check that front and rear brackets are level and tighten all flange nuts. 4. Repeat steps 1-3 for the right side of the vehicle.
1. Remove the factory center body mount bolt. 2. Install the center inboard bracket (item #10) in its place. 3. Attach the center outboard bracket (item #11) to the inboard bracket using three 3/8"-18 x 1.0" hex bolts, three 3/8" flat washers, and three 3/8"-18 flange nuts. Adjust height to match your step board and tighten bolts. 4. Check that the center bracket is perpendicular to the vehicle body and tighten the body mount bolt per manufacturer specifications.
On the short threaded end of the load reaction stud (item #9), install a 3/8" flange nut backwards onto the bottom of the thread, then install a 3/8" flat washer and rubber cushion washer tight against the flange nut. The stud end must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". On the long threaded end, install a 3/8" flange nut backwards to near the bottom of the threads.
Install the assembled load reaction stud into the center inboard bracket (item #10) as shown in the manual figures. Adjust the inboard nut so that the rubber cushion washer is snug against the frame of the vehicle. Install a 3/8" flange nut on the outboard side of the stud and tighten to 19 LB-FT.
All 5/16" fasteners on the Regal 7 Oval Steps must be torqued to 19 LB-FT after the step plate is set in the correct position.
