Warranty: Limited Lifetime Warranty (One-Year Finish, One-Year Parts)
Finish: BRIGHT ALUMINUM
Material: Aluminum
Part Type: TRANSFER TANK
UWS transfer tanks offer the perfect solution for transporting chemicals, solutions and other non-flammable liquids to your next jobsite. Each tank features corrosion-resistant aluminum construction, a commercial-grade ventilation cap and an optimal fit and capacity to suit your truck and lifestyle. The heavy-duty .125" thick aluminum alloy construction provides the tank with structural strength, while keeping it lightweight and resilient to corrosion. The commercial-grade vented cap allows for proper ventilation of the liquid contents, and the tank is also equipped with commercial-grade mounting flanges for maximum strength in the truck bed. UWS transfer tanks are available in multiple sizes to accommodate any job. Like all UWS truck tool boxes, this product is proudly assembled right here in the USA for style and long-lasting dependability. NOTE: This tank is DOT-compliant for transporting Class 3 combustible fuels only, such as diesel.

UWS designs and builds heavy-duty truck tool boxes and storage for tradespeople and truck owners. The line covers crossover and side-mount boxes, chest boxes, underbody boxes, transfer tanks and dog boxes. Every aluminum box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, with construction aimed at job-site abuse, road vibration and daily use.
UWS is a leading manufacturer and designer of truck tool boxes and truck accessories, and a Lippert brand. The company's focus is narrow and deliberate: storage that stands up to being opened and slammed shut dozens of times a day, loaded past what looks reasonable, and left outdoors in whatever weather the job brings. Its customers are electricians, plumbers, contractors, farmers, outdoorsmen and truck owners who treat a pickup as a working tool rather than transport.
The catalog covers the full range of bed storage. Crossover boxes sit across the bed behind the cab in single-lid, gull-wing, secure-lock and low-profile styles, so there is a fit whether the priority is capacity, rear visibility or working under a tonneau. Side-mount boxes mount along the bed rails and keep the bed floor free for cargo, while underbody boxes tuck beneath the frame rails of service bodies and flatbeds.
Beyond the bed, UWS makes portable chest boxes that move between vehicles and the shop, transfer tanks and combination tank-and-toolbox units for crews working away from fuel supply, and insulated, ventilated dog boxes for hunters and handlers.
Manufacturing sits at the centre of the brand's identity. Every UWS aluminum tool box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, by tradespeople with decades of experience, and the company's Rooted in Trades initiative is built around that connection to skilled manual work. Boxes use heavy-gauge aluminum, continuous welds at the seams, weather stripping to seal against rain and dust, and locking systems intended to resist tampering. The practical result is storage that keeps tools dry, organized and where they were left.

The kit includes the transfer tank, filler neck and cap, a 3/8" drain plug, and a key (supplied only with combo models). Hardware such as bolts, washers, nuts and any spacers required for installation must be purchased separately.
The tank is DOT-compliant for transporting Class 3 combustible fuels only, such as diesel. It is not approved for flammable fuels like gasoline and must never be connected to a vehicle's fuel system or used as an auxiliary fuel tank. Do not use it for storing or transporting explosives, hazardous materials, propane tanks, acetylene tanks, cutting torches or other hazardous waste.
The manual does not specify which truck models, bed lengths, cab styles or drivetrains are compatible. Contact CURT Group at 877.287.8634 or consult your dealer to confirm fitment for your specific vehicle before purchasing.
You will need a drill, 3/8" drill bit, ratchet, socket set, tape measure and marker. You must also purchase your own hardware: hex bolts, flat washers, lock washers and nuts for each mounting hole.
Yes. Hardware is not included with the tank. You must purchase hex bolts, flat washers, lock washers and nuts for each mounting hole. If any holes fall between the ribs on the truck bed floor, you may also need spacers between the floor and mounting bracket.
You must use an automatic shut-off nozzle (not provided) and a fuel filter. The tank must be vented at all times and must be grounded to avoid static charge buildup.
Before drilling into your truck bed, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks or other components. Precaution must be taken that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision.
Push the tank up to the truck cab and center it side-to-side. Make sure the tank is fully supported by the truck bed floor before using the mounting brackets as a guide to mark the hole locations.
Drill 3/8" holes in the marked locations on the truck bed floor. After drilling, treat or seal all fasteners and exposed metal in any holes to prevent corrosion.
No. Do not cut, weld or drill into the tank. Doing so could result in serious injury or death due to the danger of explosion.
Secure the mounting brackets to the truck bed with a hex bolt, two flat washers, one lock washer and one nut in each hole. Do not over tighten the hardware.
If any holes fall between the ribs on the truck bed floor, spacers will be required between the floor and mounting bracket for proper installation. These spacers are not included and must be purchased separately.
After securing the mounting brackets to the truck bed, attach the filler neck and cap to the tank. The manual does not provide detailed attachment instructions; consult your dealer if you have questions.
Before securing the tank to the truck bed, ensure the tank is level. Use a level tool to verify proper positioning before tightening the mounting hardware.
Torque specifications depend on the bolt size used. For common sizes: 1/4" bolt = 3 ft-lbs., 5/16" bolt = 7 ft-lbs., 3/8" bolt = 16 ft-lbs., 7/16" bolt = 20 ft-lbs., 1/2" bolt = 28 ft-lbs. If purchasing hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware. Do not over tighten.
The transfer tank and pump must be grounded to avoid static charge buildup. Static buildup can result in explosion. Proper grounding is essential for safe operation.
No. Do not pressurize the tank. The tank must be vented at all times, and the vent cap should be removed with caution.
Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended capacity. The tank must not be filled beyond what your vehicle can safely carry.
Yes. This product can reduce the driver's ability to clearly see roadways, vehicular or pedestrian traffic and other objects through the rear and side windows of the vehicle, which may cause an accident. Extra precaution should be taken when driving a vehicle with this product installed.
No. The tank must be lifted only when empty.
Ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured before every trip. Periodically re-tighten and inspect all components for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue. With the transfer tank installed, periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Mild automotive detergent may be used to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products that may damage the finish.
No. The tank is not compatible with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) or other corrosive materials. Use it only for Class 3 combustible fuels such as diesel.
The manual does not specify compatible vehicles. Contact CURT Group at 877.287.8634 or your dealer to confirm fitment for your truck model and bed length.
You must purchase hex bolts, flat washers, lock washers and nuts for each mounting hole. You may also need spacers if holes fall between truck bed ribs. An automatic shut-off nozzle and fuel filter are also required.
Yes. You must drill 3/8" holes in the truck bed floor at marked locations. Before drilling, check underneath your vehicle to ensure you do not puncture brake lines, fuel lines, electrical wires or fuel tanks.
