Each tank features corrosion-resistant aluminum construction, a commercial-grade ventilation cap and an optimal fit and capacity to suit your truck and lifestyle. The heavy-duty .125" thick aluminum alloy construction provides the tank with structural strength, while keeping it lightweight and resilient to corrosion. The commercial-grade vented cap allows for proper ventilation of the liquid contents, and the tank is also equipped with commercial-grade mounting flanges for maximum strength in the truck bed. UWS transfer tanks are available in multiple sizes to accommodate any job. Like all UWS truck tool boxes, this product is proudly assembled right here in the USA for style and long-lasting dependability. NOTE: This tank is DOT-compliant for transporting Class 3 combustible fuels only, such as diesel.

The kit includes one transfer tank, one filler neck and cap, and one 3/8" drain plug. A key is supplied only with combo models. Hardware (bolts, washers, nuts) is not included and must be purchased separately. You will also need to source an automatic shut-off nozzle and fuel filter, which are not provided.
No. This tank is DOT-compliant for transporting Class 3 combustible fuels only, such as diesel. It is not approved for transportation of flammable fuels such as gasoline and should never be connected to a vehicle's fuel system or used as an auxiliary fuel tank. Do not use it for storing or transporting flammables, explosives, hazardous materials or hazardous waste.
Before drilling into your truck bed, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks, or other components. Precaution must be taken that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision. Treat or seal all fasteners and exposed metal in any holes drilled in the vehicle to prevent corrosion.
You will need: a drill, a 3/8" drill bit, a ratchet, a socket set, a tape measure, and a marker. Proper tools will improve the quality of installation and reduce the time required.
You drill 3/8" holes in the truck bed floor at the locations marked by the mounting brackets. Before drilling, ensure you have checked under the vehicle to confirm the drill locations do not puncture or obstruct brake lines, fuel lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks or other components.
Push the tank up to the truck cab and center it side-to-side. Make sure the tank is fully supported by the truck bed floor. Use the mounting brackets as a guide to mark the hole locations. Once marked, remove the tank and drill the 3/8" holes.
Secure the mounting brackets to the truck bed with a hex bolt, two flat washers, one lock washer and one nut in each hole. Do not over tighten the hardware. If any holes fall between the ribs on the truck bed floor, spacers will be required between the floor and mounting bracket for proper installation.
Torque specifications depend on the bolt size used. For SAE bolts: 1/4" = 3 ft-lbs, 5/16" = 7 ft-lbs, 3/8" = 16 ft-lbs, 7/16" = 20 ft-lbs, 1/2" = 28 ft-lbs. For metric bolts: M6 = 3 ft-lbs, M8 = 7 ft-lbs, M10 = 16 ft-lbs, M12 = 28 ft-lbs. These are general guidelines; if purchasing hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware.
Before securing the tank to the truck bed, ensure the tank is level. Use a level tool to verify proper positioning before tightening the mounting bracket fasteners.
The transfer tank and pump must be grounded to avoid static charge buildup, which can result in explosion. The manual requires grounding but does not specify the grounding method or hardware. Consult your dealer or the manufacturer for specific grounding procedures and hardware requirements.
You must use an automatic shut-off nozzle (not provided) and a fuel filter (not provided). The tank must be vented at all times and the vent cap must be removed with caution. Do not pressurize the tank. Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended capacity.

The tank must be lifted only when empty. Do not lift a full or partially full tank.
Yes. This product can reduce the driver's ability to clearly see roadways, vehicular or pedestrian traffic and other objects through the rear and side windows of the vehicle, which may cause an accident. Extra precaution should be taken when driving a vehicle with this product.
Ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured before every trip. Periodically re-tighten and inspect all components for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue. With the transfer tank installed, periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Mild automotive detergent may be used to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products that may damage the finish.
