Warranty: Limited Lifetime Warranty (One-Year Finish, One-Year Parts)
Finish: GLOSS BLACK POWDER COAT
Material: Aluminum
Part Type: TRANSFER TANK
UWS transfer tanks offer the perfect solution for transporting chemicals, solutions and other non-flammable liquids to your next jobsite. Each tank features corrosion-resistant aluminum construction, a commercial-grade ventilation cap and an optimal fit and capacity to suit your truck and lifestyle. The heavy-duty .125" thick aluminum alloy construction provides the tank with structural strength, while keeping it lightweight and resilient to corrosion. The commercial-grade vented cap allows for proper ventilation of the liquid contents, and the tank is also equipped with commercial-grade mounting flanges for maximum strength in the truck bed. UWS transfer tanks are available in multiple sizes to accommodate any job. Like all UWS truck tool boxes, this product is proudly assembled right here in the USA for style and long-lasting dependability. NOTE: This tank is DOT-compliant for transporting Class 3 combustible fuels only, such as diesel.

UWS designs and builds heavy-duty truck tool boxes and storage for tradespeople and truck owners. The line covers crossover and side-mount boxes, chest boxes, underbody boxes, transfer tanks and dog boxes. Every aluminum box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, with construction aimed at job-site abuse, road vibration and daily use.
UWS is a leading manufacturer and designer of truck tool boxes and truck accessories, and a Lippert brand. The company's focus is narrow and deliberate: storage that stands up to being opened and slammed shut dozens of times a day, loaded past what looks reasonable, and left outdoors in whatever weather the job brings. Its customers are electricians, plumbers, contractors, farmers, outdoorsmen and truck owners who treat a pickup as a working tool rather than transport.
The catalog covers the full range of bed storage. Crossover boxes sit across the bed behind the cab in single-lid, gull-wing, secure-lock and low-profile styles, so there is a fit whether the priority is capacity, rear visibility or working under a tonneau. Side-mount boxes mount along the bed rails and keep the bed floor free for cargo, while underbody boxes tuck beneath the frame rails of service bodies and flatbeds.
Beyond the bed, UWS makes portable chest boxes that move between vehicles and the shop, transfer tanks and combination tank-and-toolbox units for crews working away from fuel supply, and insulated, ventilated dog boxes for hunters and handlers.
Manufacturing sits at the centre of the brand's identity. Every UWS aluminum tool box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, by tradespeople with decades of experience, and the company's Rooted in Trades initiative is built around that connection to skilled manual work. Boxes use heavy-gauge aluminum, continuous welds at the seams, weather stripping to seal against rain and dust, and locking systems intended to resist tampering. The practical result is storage that keeps tools dry, organized and where they were left.

UWS | Tough. Reliable.
The kit includes one transfer tank, one filler neck and cap, one 3/8" drain plug, and one key (supplied only with combo models). Hardware such as hex bolts, flat washers, lock washers and nuts are not included and must be purchased separately.
The tank is DOT-compliant for transporting Class 3 combustible fuels only, such as diesel. It is not approved for transportation of flammable fuels such as gasoline and should never be connected to a vehicle's fuel system or used as an auxiliary fuel tank. The tank is not compatible with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) or other corrosive materials.
Yes. Before drilling into your truck bed, you must check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks, or other components. Precaution must also be taken that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision.
You will need: a drill, 3/8" drill bit, ratchet, socket set, tape measure, and marker. You will also need to purchase your own hardware: hex bolts, flat washers, lock washers, and nuts for each mounting hole.
Hardware is not included with the tank. For each mounting hole, you will need one hex bolt, two flat washers, one lock washer, and one nut. The exact size and quantity depend on the number of mounting brackets on your tank. Refer to the torque specifications provided with your hardware, or use the general guidelines: 1/4" bolt (3 ft-lbs), 5/16" bolt (7 ft-lbs), 3/8" bolt (16 ft-lbs), 7/16" bolt (20 ft-lbs), or 1/2" bolt (28 ft-lbs).
Yes. You must use an automatic shut-off nozzle, which is not provided with the tank. You will need to purchase this separately.
Yes. You must use a fuel filter with the transfer tank.
You drill 3/8" holes in the truck bed floor at the locations marked by the mounting brackets. Use a 3/8" drill bit.
No. Do not cut, weld or drill into the tank. Doing so could result in serious injury or death.
Yes. You should treat or seal all fasteners and exposed metal in any holes drilled in the vehicle to prevent corrosion.
Push the tank up to the truck cab and center it side-to-side. Make sure the tank is fully supported by the truck bed floor. Before securing, ensure the tank is level.
If any holes fall between the ribs on the truck bed floor, spacers will be required between the floor and mounting bracket for proper installation.
Secure the mounting brackets to the truck bed with a hex bolt, two flat washers, one lock washer and one nut in each hole. Do not over tighten the hardware. Refer to the torque specifications for your bolt size to ensure proper tightening.
After securing the mounting brackets, attach the filler neck and cap to the tank. The manual does not provide detailed attachment instructions; consult your dealer if you have questions.
General torque specifications are: 1/4" bolt (3 ft-lbs), 5/16" bolt (7 ft-lbs), 3/8" bolt (16 ft-lbs), 7/16" bolt (20 ft-lbs), 1/2" bolt (28 ft-lbs). Metric equivalents: M6 bolt (3 ft-lbs), M8 bolt (7 ft-lbs), M10 bolt (16 ft-lbs), M12 bolt (28 ft-lbs). These are general guidelines; if purchasing hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware.
The manual states that the transfer tank and pump must be grounded to avoid static charge, as static build-up can result in explosion. However, the manual does not provide specific grounding instructions or wire gauge requirements. Consult your dealer for proper grounding procedures.
No. Do not pressurize the tank.
Yes. Tank must be vented at all times. Remove vent cap with caution.

No. Tank must be lifted only when empty.
Do not use this product for storing or transporting flammables, explosives, hazardous materials or hazardous waste, such as containers of gasoline, solvents, gun powder, dynamite, propane tanks, acetylene tanks and cutting torches. Do not cut, weld or drill into the tank. Do not pressurize the tank. Do not use it as an auxiliary fuel tank or connect it to a vehicle's fuel system. Do not interfere with factory-installed safety equipment. Do not modify the product. Do not use it commercially.
Ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured. With the transfer tank installed, periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. Periodically re-tighten and inspect all components for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue.
Mild automotive detergent may be used to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products that may damage the finish. For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs on the finish.
