Each tank features corrosion-resistant aluminum construction, a commercial-grade ventilation cap and an optimal fit and capacity to suit your truck and lifestyle. The heavy-duty .125" thick aluminum alloy construction provides the tank with structural strength, while keeping it lightweight and resilient to corrosion. The commercial-grade vented cap allows for proper ventilation of the liquid contents, and the tank is also equipped with commercial-grade mounting flanges for maximum strength in the truck bed. UWS transfer tanks are available in multiple sizes to accommodate any job. Like all UWS truck tool boxes, this product is proudly assembled right here in the USA for style and long-lasting dependability. No. The tank is DOT-compliant for transporting Class 3 combustible fuels only, such as diesel. It is not approved for transportation of flammable fuels like gasoline and should never be connected to a vehicle's fuel system or used as an auxiliary fuel tank. Using it for gasoline creates a serious fire and explosion hazard.
The tank is designed for Class 3 combustible fuels such as diesel only. Do not use it for storing or transporting flammables, explosives, hazardous materials or hazardous waste, including gasoline, solvents, gun powder, dynamite, propane tanks, acetylene tanks, cutting torches, or diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) and other corrosive materials. The tank is for private use only and not intended for commercial use.
You will need: a drill, 3/8" drill bit, ratchet, socket set, tape measure, and marker. Proper tools will improve installation quality and reduce installation time.
Yes. Hardware is not included with the tank. You must purchase your own bolts, washers, and nuts. The manual specifies that each mounting hole requires one hex bolt, two flat washers, one lock washer, and one nut. You will also need to source an automatic shut-off nozzle and fuel filter separately.
Yes. You must drill 3/8" holes in the truck bed floor at locations marked by the mounting brackets. Before drilling, you must check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks, or other components. After drilling, treat or seal all fasteners and exposed metal in any holes to prevent corrosion.
No. Do not cut, weld or drill into the tank. Doing so could result in serious injury or death due to the danger of explosion.
1. Push the tank up to the truck cab and center it side-to-side, ensuring it is fully supported by the truck bed floor. Use the mounting brackets as a guide to mark holes. Remove the tank and drill 3/8" holes at the marked locations. 2. Place the tank back in the bed and align the drilled holes with the mounting brackets. Ensure the tank is level before securing. 3. Secure the mounting brackets to the truck bed with one hex bolt, two flat washers, one lock washer and one nut in each hole. Do not over tighten. 4. Attach the filler neck and cap.
If any holes fall between the ribs on the truck bed floor, spacers will be required between the floor and mounting bracket for proper installation. Spacers are not included and must be sourced separately.

Torque specifications are: M6 bolt 3 ft-lbs, M8 bolt 7 ft-lbs, M10 bolt 16 ft-lbs, M12 bolt 28 ft-lbs. In SAE: 1/4" bolt 3 ft-lbs, 5/16" bolt 7 ft-lbs, 3/8" bolt 16 ft-lbs, 7/16" bolt 20 ft-lbs, 1/2" bolt 28 ft-lbs. These are general guidelines. If purchasing hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware. Do not over tighten the hardware.
