Each box features a corrosion-resistant aluminum construction, heavy-duty aircraft cable door supports and a stainless steel locking system -- all to keep your equipment and valuables safe and easily accessible whenever needed. Each UWS truck side tool box is constructed from extra-thick aluminum for increased structural strength. The tub is welded together into a single piece for weather resistance and to easily hold heavy tools and other items. The door features aircraft-grade stainless steel cables, ensuring reliable strength and door operation. The locking mechanism of this truck side tool box provides excellent security for your items, featuring a stainless steel, key-operated T-handle. Stainless steel construction supplies the lock with long-lasting corrosion resistance, and the door also has a MicroSeal gasket, blocking moisture, dust and insects from getting inside and damaging your valuables. The door also opens a full 90 degrees for easier access. UWS truck tool boxes are available in multiple sizes to accommodate any storage need. The catalog covers the full range of bed storage. Crossover boxes sit across the bed behind the cab in single-lid, gull-wing, secure-lock and low-profile styles, so there is a fit whether the priority is capacity, rear visibility or working under a tonneau. Side-mount boxes mount along the bed rails and keep the bed floor free for cargo, while underbody boxes tuck beneath the frame rails of service bodies and flatbeds.

The kit includes one topside tool box, two keys, and two legs. Hardware (bolts, nuts and washers) is not included and must be purchased separately.
You will need: drill, drill bit set, ratchet, socket set, tape measure, level, square, and marker. Proper tools will improve installation quality and reduce installation time.
The tool box is designed to mount on truck bed rails. The manual does not specify which truck models or bed styles are compatible. Consult your dealer or the manufacturer to confirm fitment for your specific vehicle.
Hardware is not included. You must purchase your own bolts, nuts and washers. The manual provides torque specifications for M6, M8, M10 and M12 metric bolts, and 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16" and 1/2" SAE bolts. If purchasing hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware.
Park the truck on level ground. Place the tool box on the bed rail with the handles and logo plate facing outward. Ensure the tool box is level before drilling or securing any fasteners.
Before drilling, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake lines, fuel lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks or other components. Take precaution that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision.
Place one leg on a corner of the tool box that is not resting on the bed rail. Use a square to ensure the leg is vertical and at the appropriate height so it rests on the truck bed. Mark two mounting locations, drill two holes through the leg and tool box corner, and secure the leg with purchased hardware. Repeat on the other end of the tool box.
Yes. For added security, the legs may be bolted to the truck bed in addition to being attached to the tool box.
M6 bolts should be torqued to 3 ft-lbs. M8 bolts should be torqued to 7 ft-lbs. These are general guidelines; if purchasing hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware.

Yes. This product can reduce the driver's ability to clearly see roadways, vehicular or pedestrian traffic and other objects through the rear and side windows of the vehicle, which may cause an accident. Extra precaution should be taken when driving a vehicle with this product.
Yes. Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended capacity. Consult your vehicle's documentation or your dealer for the specific weight limit.
Ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured before every trip. Periodically re-tighten and inspect all components for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue. With the topside tool box installed, periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Mild automotive detergent may be used to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products that may damage the finish.
Yes. Treat or seal all fasteners and exposed metal in any holes drilled in the vehicle to prevent corrosion.
