Each box features a corrosion-resistant aluminum construction, heavy-duty aircraft cable door supports and a stainless steel locking system -- all to keep your equipment and valuables safe and easily accessible whenever needed. Each UWS truck side tool box is constructed from extra-thick aluminum for increased structural strength. The tub is welded together into a single piece for weather resistance and to easily hold heavy tools and other items. The door features aircraft-grade stainless steel cables, ensuring reliable strength and door operation. The locking mechanism of this truck side tool box provides excellent security for your items, featuring a stainless steel, key-operated T-handle. Stainless steel construction supplies the lock with long-lasting corrosion resistance, and the door also has a MicroSeal gasket, blocking moisture, dust and insects from getting inside and damaging your valuables. The door also opens a full 90 degrees for easier access. UWS truck tool boxes are available in multiple sizes to accommodate any storage need. You will need: drill, drill bit set, ratchet, socket set, tape measure, level, square, and marker. Proper tools will improve installation quality and reduce installation time.
No. The installation is rated as 'Easy' difficulty level and can be completed with standard hand tools and a drill. However, you must purchase your own hardware and follow all safety precautions, particularly checking for brake lines, fuel lines and electrical wires before drilling.

Place the tool box on the bed rail of the truck with the handles and logo plate facing outward. The truck must be parked on level ground. Ensure the tool box is level before marking mounting locations.
Place one leg on a corner of the tool box that is not resting on the bed rail. Use a square to ensure the leg is vertical and at the appropriate height so it rests on the truck bed. Mark two mounting locations to attach the leg to the box. Drill two holes through the leg and tool box corner. Secure the leg with purchased hardware (not included). Repeat on the other end of the tool box. For added security, the legs may be bolted to the truck bed.
Before drilling, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks, etc. Precaution must be taken that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision.
