Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Yes, part number 24812 is designed for Toyota Matrix and Pontiac Vibe vehicles. However, if you own a Toyota Matrix XRS or XR Sport model, the center fascia must be removed before installation. The center fascia is sold separately.
The maximum gross trailer weight is 2000 LB (908 kg) and the maximum tongue weight is 200 LB (91 kg). However, you must not exceed the lower of the towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these specifications.
You need a 19mm wrench. No drilling is required. The hitch uses existing factory weld nuts on the frame rails, so no additional holes need to be created.
The hitch assembly includes 6 M12 x 1.25 x 40mm CL10.9 bolts and 6 conical 1/2" washers. A separate fastener kit 24812F is available if additional fasteners are needed.
1. Raise the hitch into position. 2. Install the 6 M12 x 1.25 x 40mm bolts with conical washers into the existing factory weld nuts on both frame rails, as shown in the diagram. The fasteners are installed on both sides of the vehicle.
All M12 CL10.9 fasteners must be tightened to 92 Lb.-Ft. (125 N·M) using a torque wrench.
Center fascia removal is required only for Toyota Matrix XRS and XR Sport models. The center fascia must be removed for hitch installation on these models and is sold separately. Other Matrix and Vibe models do not require fascia removal.
Observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. A damaged hitch or ball must be removed and replaced immediately.
The drawbar kit is part number 3593 and is sold separately. It is not included with the hitch assembly. The drawbar must be used in the raised position only.
The wiring access location is SUV3 or SUV4, depending on your vehicle configuration.
