The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. 1. Enlarge existing holes on the bumper structure with a 1/2" drill bit. 2. Use fishwire to pass carriage bolts and blocks through the bumper structure and drilled holes. 3. Raise the hitch into position and loosely install conical toothed washers and 1/2 hex nuts. 4. Install the 3/8 U-bolt through the vehicle tow hook and receiver tow hook attachment, with lock washers and 3/8 hex nuts. 5. Tighten all fasteners to the required torque specifications.
All 1/2-13 GR5 fasteners must be tightened to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N·M) using a torque wrench.
All 3/8-16 GR5 fasteners, including the U-bolt, must be tightened to 30 Lb.-Ft. (41 N·M) using a torque wrench.
