Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

This hitch (part numbers 60872, 24795, 77167) fits Hyundai Elantra, Hyundai Accent 3-Door, and Kia Rio 5 models. Confirm your exact vehicle model and year before purchasing.
This hitch is designed for Hyundai Accent 3-Door, Hyundai Elantra, and Kia Rio 5. The Accent does not require fascia trimming, unlike the Elantra and Rio 5, but all three models use the same hitch assembly.
You need 17mm and 19mm wrenches, a small Phillips tip screwdriver, and a torque wrench. No drill bits are required. The manual does not specify whether a torque wrench is included.
The manual lists a torque wrench as required equipment but does not state whether it is included in the kit. Contact the manufacturer or your retailer to confirm.
No. The manual states "Drill Bits: None" and the hitch uses existing weldnuts on the frame rail. No drilling is required.
Fascia trimming is required only on Hyundai Elantra and Kia Rio 5 models. The Hyundai Accent 3-Door does not require trimming. You must obtain vehicle owner approval before cutting.
The manual requires trimming the center fascia tab on Elantra and Rio 5 models (see Figure 2). The exact dimensions and method are not detailed in the manual. You must obtain vehicle owner approval before cutting. Contact the manufacturer for specific trimming guidance if needed.
You do not need to remove the exhaust system entirely. The manual requires lowering the vehicle exhaust by removing the rubber exhaust hanger. After installation, the rubber muffler hanger is reattached. The hitch crosstube is positioned over the top of the tail pipe.
1. Remove plastic screws from support straps using a small Phillips screwdriver (apply pressure to opposite end at 3 places). 2. On Elantra and Rio 5, trim center fascia tab (obtain owner approval first). 3. Lower vehicle exhaust by removing rubber hanger. 4. Lift hitch passenger side first, placing crosstube over tail pipe with side bracket as far into space behind wheel well, rotate into position on outside of frame rail (pull fascia gently out of way). 5. Raise driver side of hitch into position on outside of frame rails and in front of bulkhead (pull fascia gently out of way). 6. Install fasteners as shown in Figure 1 and hand tighten. 7. Push hitch toward rear of vehicle and tighten all fasteners to specification. 8. Reattach rubber muffler hanger. 9. Reattach fascia tabs.
Hand tightening allows you to position the hitch correctly and ensure all fasteners are aligned before applying final torque. After hand tightening, you push the hitch toward the rear of the vehicle and then tighten all fasteners to specification with a torque wrench. This ensures proper alignment and seating.
Tighten all M10 CL 8.8 fasteners to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N·M). Tighten all M12 CL 8.8 fasteners to 76 Lb.-Ft. (103 N·M). Use a torque wrench for all final tightening.
According to Figure 1: M12 x 1.25 x 40mm CL8.8 bolts (qty 4, marked 'j') are used on all models. M10 x 1.25 x 40mm CL8.8 bolts (qty 4, marked 'l') are used on Rio 5 and Accent only. Elantra uses M12 bolts with conical washers (3/8" and ½") and spacers instead. The manual notes that fasteners are typical on both sides and extra hardware may be left over due to different vehicle configurations.
The hitch uses existing weldnuts on the frame rail. Fastener Kit 24795F is required and includes: (for all models) Qty 4 M12 x 1.25 x 40mm CL8.8 bolts; (for Rio 5 and Accent) Qty 4 M10 x 1.25 x 40mm CL8.8 bolts, Qty 4 conical washers 3/8", Qty 4 conical washers ½", Qty 4 spacers 3/8 x 1-1/2 x 3; (for Elantra) Qty 4 conical washers 3/8". The manual notes that extra hardware may be left over due to different vehicle configurations.
Yes. Fastener Kit 24795F is required and sold separately. The hitch assembly uses existing weldnuts on the frame rail, but all bolts, washers, and spacers must be obtained from the fastener kit.
Drawbar Kit 3594 is listed as a separate product and is sold separately. The manual does not state whether it is required for basic hitch installation. The drawbar must be used in RISE position only if installed. Contact the manufacturer to determine if the drawbar is necessary for your application.
Maximum Gross Trailer Weight: 2000 LB (908 kg). Maximum Tongue Weight: 200 LB (90.8 kg). Do not exceed the lower of the towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
The drawbar must be used in the RISE position only. Do not use in any other position.
Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Ensure the vehicle is safely supported before working underneath. The manual does not specify the method for safely supporting the vehicle (e.g., jack stands, lift).
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual does not specify the frequency of checks or a retorque interval after initial installation. Perform these checks before towing.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. This prevents corrosion and contamination of the vehicle interior.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not attempt to repair a damaged hitch or ball.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
Ensure you have pushed the hitch toward the rear of the vehicle before final tightening. The manual specifies: 'Push hitch toward the rear of the vehicle and tighten all fasteners.' If the hitch still does not sit flush after this step, verify that all fasteners are hand-tightened first, the hitch is positioned correctly on both sides (passenger side first, then driver side), and the fascia is not interfering. Reposition if necessary before final torque.
The fascia may be in the way. The manual states: 'It will be necessary to pull the fascia gently out of the way' on both the passenger and driver sides. Gently pull the fascia away from the hitch mounting area to create clearance. On Elantra and Rio 5, ensure the center fascia tab has been trimmed as required. Do not force the hitch; reposition the fascia as needed.
Lower the vehicle exhaust by removing the rubber exhaust hanger. The manual specifies: 'Lower vehicle exhaust by removing rubber exhaust hanger.' The hitch crosstube is designed to sit over the top of the tail pipe. After installation is complete, reattach the rubber muffler hanger. If the exhaust still interferes, verify that the hitch is positioned correctly with the crosstube over the tail pipe and the side bracket as far into the space behind the wheel well as possible.
